I have the theme, even some of the answers, but it's not something I'm really good at, face/group recognition sigh

I'm clueless about almost all of these. Guess I'll wait for another day.

I've found about a dozen things that could fit for 8 but don't fit the grid. Some of the representatives in this puzzle seem a bit odd to me.

OK got #2 from a wiki search on types of music. Awesome theme, poor execution. I cry boo on #8 and especially #2...I even tried a version of yak calling, didn;t fit.

I know who is in #8... love them in fact... but I can't think of any thing that fits the 1 cross letter I have. Is it really that far off as others are booing it? Being a huge fan, am I gonna be pissed to see what the answer is? :) any more salt on that one?

Damn, I wish I was here on time... I got it in like a minute and a half! At least this one put me over 1000 points :)

Good grief... too much identification and too much guessing on the answer that goes with each. Pass.

Wish I had been here at 10... Mr. Clinton clued me in to the theme immediately. Took a bit to get 8 and 10 but not too long. I think this theme deserves another chance.

[76] If so, please not as yet another picture identification exercise. I prefer hypercrosses that are actual puzzles.

any salt on 14....I've tried wiki for genres that end with rock...but nothing fits

#8 gave me the hardest TTime.

I don't mind the occasional "face search" but don't want too many of them.

Here's where I think this one went wrong: the "face search" part doesn't yield answers, but requires another step beyond that. If you're going to make me play searchy-poo, don't make me play guessy-poo as well. I think the extra step is a bit too subjective as well.

Nice idea, but not my cup of tea. Thanks anyway.
