Is it possible the last clue's name is misspelled? I have the puzzle completed and am pretty sure I have this person's name correct, but there's one too many spaces on the puzzle! Help?

  2. Avatar_profileRocketmz on Mar 09, 2008 07:14 PM

[1] It all worked for me.

  3. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:14 PM

I just double checked it. It looks correct to me. Tangagram me and I can tell you if it's right or not.

  4. FileGarlicHope2002 on Mar 09, 2008 07:15 PM

    Check the first

  5. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Mar 09, 2008 07:15 PM

You got it! But we're not going to save your answer.

    What does this mean?

  6. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Mar 09, 2008 07:16 PM

Any salt for those '70s looking guys?

  7. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:16 PM

[5] Absolutely nothing. You still got the points, still got the fame and recognition.

  8. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Mar 09, 2008 07:17 PM

    wow. Neat puzzle.

  9. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Mar 09, 2008 07:17 PM

[5] Nothing. Tanga glitch that's never been changed... but your answer WILL be saved, and you DID get your points :)

  10. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:17 PM

[6] 70's looking guys? They are staying alive, you know.

  11. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Mar 09, 2008 07:17 PM

    [6] look like brothers.

  12. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:18 PM

[11] Yeah...brothers born on the same day

  13. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Mar 09, 2008 07:19 PM

Thanks for the info. It's the first time I got that message, and I was afraid.

As for the puzzle itself, I impressed myself. I knew all but 3 of them directly, and for those 3, I knew what two of them were- just didn't know the names.

  14. FilePeppercyncat on Mar 09, 2008 07:19 PM

    Good one, BDD!

  15. FileRadishdreadnaut on Mar 09, 2008 07:19 PM

Any help on the second last picture?

  16. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Mar 09, 2008 07:20 PM

[10] Thanks. I had the theme, but never know what any musicians look like so I was stuck on them for awhile.

  17. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Mar 09, 2008 07:22 PM

[15] Think of the zodiac. They have names, individually.

  18. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:22 PM

[15] have you googled the names of the zodiac for gemini twins?

  19. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Mar 09, 2008 07:22 PM

[12] and in this case the fact that they are brothers factors in to who they are "together"

  20. Phi3CornPhilana on Mar 09, 2008 07:23 PM

    Great puzzle!

  21. BeerAcejaniebellboo on Mar 09, 2008 07:24 PM

Any salt on the women of achievement?

  22. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Mar 09, 2008 07:24 PM

[18] or seen a certain movie directed by the greatest action director of all time?

  23. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:25 PM

[19] Yup! That's how I designed the puzzle, anyway. Glad you recognized it!!

    [20] Thanks Philana!!!

  24. FileRadishdreadnaut on Mar 09, 2008 07:26 PM

    [17][18] That did it. Thanks!

  25. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Mar 09, 2008 07:26 PM

[21] Have you ever written a letter to a newspaper column asking for salt on a realtionship?

  26. BeerAcejaniebellboo on Mar 09, 2008 07:26 PM

    Thank you!

  27. FileSailboatyelowflower on Mar 09, 2008 07:28 PM

    [6] think disco

  28. FilePotatorevchewie on Mar 09, 2008 07:30 PM

Could someone spell check me? I've got answers, they all look right. But, of course, it's not taking it.

TG me if you can help, please.

  29. FileSailboatsteve59 on Mar 09, 2008 07:34 PM

great job! Love the theme and how it worked out.

  30. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Mar 09, 2008 07:35 PM

    [28] check your TG

  31. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Mar 09, 2008 07:41 PM

[28] Check your spelling on the 7th clue. That's what tripped me up.

  32. FilePotatorevchewie on Mar 09, 2008 07:44 PM

[31] Yup, that was it. I didn't even look that one up. I've always thought the two names rhymed perfectly, not just kinda-sorta.

    Thanks!

  33. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Mar 09, 2008 08:53 PM

    Nice job, by the way.

  34. FileApplewmshub on Mar 09, 2008 09:19 PM

Stuck on the wrestlers. The rest were pretty easy.

  35. Phi3CornPhilana on Mar 09, 2008 09:23 PM

To expand on my earlier "great puzzle" comment... What makes this puzzle so good is that the composer selected pictures that provide clueful context. One set of twins is clearly conjoined, another two are obviously astronauts, another two are obviously gymnasts, the trio is from the disco era, etc. So even if a solver didn't recognize a particular set of twins, it should be relatively easy to search for them. All puzzles should be so thoughtfully constructed!

  36. FileApplediandneo on Mar 09, 2008 09:45 PM

    Nice Hypercross. I enjoyed it.

  37. Avatar_profileBananaEndoannie on Mar 09, 2008 10:14 PM

This was my favorite hypercross yet! Great theme...a little history, a little sports, a little starwatching...too cool!

  38. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Mar 09, 2008 10:50 PM

I liked this puzzle, it was fun!

  39. Avatar_profileRadishrmcelroy on Mar 09, 2008 11:02 PM

Not getting the wrestlers, or gymnasts, or whatever they are.
    Google is no help.

  40. FileGarlicHope2002 on Mar 09, 2008 11:40 PM

[39] I googled the theme word followed by "gymnasts" and it was the first one to come up. They were also on Ninja Warrior.

Edit: tried it with a more generic term and then "gymnasts" and it was still the first hit.

  41. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Mar 10, 2008 12:37 AM

[40] that did it. I never heard of them or what they do ... but now I've got all the puzzles done tonight. thanks. (the '70's looking guys' were the easiest for me - maybe because I used to Disco Dance the night away.)(Also, the Ladies of Achievement were E-A-S-Y since one looks Just Like Her Picture in the Paper.)

  42. FileAppleSunnydale on Mar 10, 2008 05:47 AM

    Very fun. Thanks

  43. FileBananaBobcat on Mar 10, 2008 07:15 AM
