  6. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:12 PM

[4] They're gals from the South.

  7. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:12 PM

[5] Who dat in the chair? And the crossed circle is a type of cross.

  8. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 13, 2008 07:16 PM

Missing whatever that is with the clock.

  9. FileGarlicspamwise on Feb 13, 2008 07:14 PM

[7] I'm afraid I don't know who's in the chair. That's why having the first intersector would help. I guess I'll research religious emblems...

  10. Avatar_profileAppledcortino on Feb 13, 2008 07:15 PM

I never cared for those three women

  11. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:15 PM

  23. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 13, 2008 07:20 PM

Any help w/ the circuit board?

  24. FilePlumReviarg on Feb 13, 2008 07:21 PM

Not sure how to deduce the farmer or the open road. Any salt on these?

  25. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 13, 2008 07:22 PM

[18] Can't believe it took me that long for that one! It's rather weighty!

  26. FilePlumReviarg on Feb 13, 2008 07:22 PM

Bigslick, think about the topics covered in a physics 2 course

  27. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 13, 2008 07:23 PM

[24] Where would you find the open road?

  28. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 13, 2008 07:23 PM

This really sucks, I know I have everything spelled right... :(

  29. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:23 PM

[22] your welcome. Now can you return the favor on the upper-right vertical? The guy with the rainbow hair.

  30. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 13, 2008 07:23 PM

[26] Physics???? I blocked all that out of my brain!

  31. FilePotatoDoomDahDoomDoom on Feb 13, 2008 07:23 PM

    Wee! fun one

  32. FileSailboatyelowflower on Feb 13, 2008 07:24 PM

anyone willing to check my answers? I cannot get it to take them and I'm pretty sure they are correct.

  33. FileAppleboop on Feb 13, 2008 07:24 PM

    almost there!

  34. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 13, 2008 07:25 PM

    :( :( :(

  35. Avatar_profileGrapesmatador on Feb 13, 2008 07:25 PM

[11] It sure would be grand if you could figure that one out!

  36. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:25 PM

[28] If the first letter of upper right vertical is P, it's wrong. Been there, done that.

  37. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:26 PM

[35] thanks. that means I have that one, and something ELSE is wrong :-(

  38. FileSailboatyelowflower on Feb 13, 2008 07:27 PM

    [35][37] yup, me too

  39. FilePeppercyncat on Feb 13, 2008 07:28 PM

    Nice topic and good clues!

  40. Avatar_profileAppledcortino on Feb 13, 2008 07:29 PM

where do you find open roads?

  41. FileTomatoGraffy on Feb 13, 2008 07:30 PM

    im stuck on the circuitboard

  42. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:30 PM

The only one I can see that I might have wrong is the 3rd from the end. MAYBE the circuitboard also, but I think that one goes with light orchestra music, right?

  43. FilePlumReviarg on Feb 13, 2008 07:30 PM

97th, just made top 100. phew

  44. FileSailboatyelowflower on Feb 13, 2008 07:30 PM

    thank you matador ;o)

  45. FilePepperpepperhead on Feb 13, 2008 07:31 PM

    I liked it

    I liked IT

  46. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:31 PM

I was a bit frustrated at times. Some clues were charades (cloth and clock) while others were generally descriptive but I wouldn't have gotten them without crossing letters (concert hall). There were plenty of charades available that weren't used. But at least it was solvable so I can't complain TOO much. ;)

  47. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 13, 2008 07:35 PM

Argh! It ain't taking my answers either!

Edit: had the cross wrong somehow; the answers aren't case sensitive are they? I swear I had that answer typed in correctly but it wouldn't take it. I typed it in again w/ a capital first letter and then it took it. Naw, can't be; must have fat fingered something else. 110th! Crap!

  48. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:33 PM

[42] Circuit boards are only found in one department in the store.

  49. FileTomatoGraffy on Feb 13, 2008 07:33 PM

    any salt on circuirboard please

  50. FileGarlicspamwise on Feb 13, 2008 07:34 PM

[29] Well, my answer isn't being accepted, but I'm pretty sure that's a particular person... his first and last name are all over the past 20 years of presidency, though, not at the same time. (hopefully not too salty.)

  51. Try_4Sailboatsnork on Feb 13, 2008 07:35 PM

Totally confused at first, but once I knew what was going on, it came pretty quickly.

  52. Avatar_profileGrapesmatador on Feb 13, 2008 07:35 PM

    [49] Ronny C for president!

  53. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:38 PM

Finally found my error! I thought the 3rd from the end was a GOTHIC cross. Hint: it isn't.

  54. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 07:41 PM

How does GOTHIC fit with the theme? :)

  55. Avatar_12-08Pancakesthreehojos on Feb 13, 2008 07:42 PM
  56. FileGrapesStexe on Feb 13, 2008 07:43 PM

I see that wrap on the preview page on the home page and it keeps making me hungry... *sigh*

  57. FileCheeseburgerQurqirishDragon on Feb 13, 2008 07:45 PM

[54] You'd be amazed. I actually looked for a list of music types, since I didn't think some of the others were right. There are actually several types of gothic music.

  58. Avatar_profileAceGertSoB on Feb 13, 2008 07:58 PM

Got them all except the shirts

  59. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 13, 2008 08:00 PM

[58] That's the easiest one. ;) What team?

  60. FileRocketkillerkarl2222 on Feb 13, 2008 08:09 PM

Still don't have the weight and the physics reference was not help, salt please.

  61. FilePlumdougtaylor1 on Feb 13, 2008 08:12 PM

Who is the bob marley looking guy? With the colored striped hair.

  62. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Feb 13, 2008 08:13 PM

I don't get the cross, the weight or the last one with the pollution, think I'll just give up!

  63. Avatar_profileGrapesmatador on Feb 13, 2008 08:16 PM

[60] maybe it's made of praseodymium or dysprosium?

  64. FilePlumdougtaylor1 on Feb 13, 2008 08:19 PM

When I think of the cross I think of Ireland. The answer isn't gothic.

  65. FileRocketkillerkarl2222 on Feb 13, 2008 08:20 PM

    MATADOR thank you

  66. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Feb 13, 2008 08:35 PM

What is so frustrating about these kind of puzzles is getting everything except 1 or 2 of them and then being so stuck you give up. Figured out the last one, but still.

NM: I finally got it, the weight seems so dang obvious now, but the cross was out there.

  67. FileAppledingo262 on Feb 13, 2008 10:04 PM

[50] I'm not tasting anything yet. Any more salt on the rainbow dude?

EDIT: Never mind. Finally found him and the answer - Yah!

  68. FileRocketfizzball on Feb 13, 2008 10:06 PM

[61, 67] - Free your mind and your a-- (and the answer) will follow. If you're still having trouble, you might need a flashlight.

  69. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 14, 2008 02:32 AM

[54] I also got stuck thinking it was gothic. There's a very large gothic subculture, and they've got their own style of music... I listen to the Sound Opinions podcast, and they did a feature on goth music last Halloween. Either way, great puzzle.

  70. Sc002a57f6Pumpkinrunart on Feb 14, 2008 03:05 AM

    FUN!! GREAT PUZZLE!

  71. FilePlumhobobot on Feb 14, 2008 06:30 AM

  72. FileSailboatESQuire on Feb 14, 2008 06:56 AM

You and me both, [71]... it ain't "soul".

  73. FilePlumhobobot on Feb 14, 2008 06:58 AM

    nm i got it

  74. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Feb 14, 2008 06:59 AM

[71],[72] They are just plain ole people. They would have plain music.

  75. FilePlumhobobot on Feb 14, 2008 06:59 AM

ha, yeah i tried soul too.

    think traditional

  76. FilePepperChupper on Feb 14, 2008 07:25 AM

[61] That guy ain't Thomas Jefferson's VP! (But he might be a member of Parliament)

  77. FilePepperChupper on Feb 14, 2008 07:24 AM

Can someone TG me the solve method for yesterday's Hard OWW, the age/tea question? I guessed it, but don't know how you're supposed to solve for the answer. Thanks!

  78. Avatar_profilePeartatealbert on Feb 14, 2008 07:25 AM

    I really enjoyed that! Thanks.

  79. Avatar_profileGrapesctettam9 on Feb 14, 2008 09:12 AM

    friggin spelling errors

  83. FileBananatheChony on Feb 14, 2008 11:21 AM

[35] is good seasoning for rainbow haired guy. It hit me like a Railroad.

  84. FileAppledlandon2000 on Feb 14, 2008 01:12 PM

Still can't get the girls/road I know who they are but that doesn't seem to help.

  85. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Feb 14, 2008 01:38 PM

[84] Don't get stuck on it being a road (is it even a road? Can't really tell). It could be say an empty lot, or a farm field. It surely isn't an ocean.

  86. FileAppledlandon2000 on Feb 14, 2008 02:07 PM

    [85] Thanks! that did it.

Never heard of the cloth one, or the Mr. White wedding one.

  87. FilePeachSquirlwfleas on Feb 16, 2008 04:43 PM

Oh Boy... I have everything but the Rainbow Haired Guy...even with the clues shared...

    More Salt Please!

  88. FractalTomatodduensing on Aug 31, 2010 10:48 AM

[87] rainbow haired guy is last name is: Clinton

Another hint: one of the 3 women is Natalie Mains (find what group she's in)

  89. UntitledCarrotBattler on Feb 19, 2011 07:46 AM

    [88] Thanks.

Thought Mr. Clinton represented something that rhymed but started with a 'p.'

  90. FileSailboatmbumby on Apr 04, 2012 12:36 PM

Nice one -- I had to guess on the rainbow haired guy (hadn't read the comments) but they were pretty straightforward. Well, the 3 women I'd figured out who they were, but wasn't sure what aspect of that was important. Saying it out loud helped.
