  35. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:26 PM

ROFL.... I thought that was Mick Jagger so I put 'ugly'. ;) ;) BZZZZZZZ

  36. FileBananatheChony on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:30 PM

I took a wild guess on the depressor one using the theme. How is it supposed to fit?

  37. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:30 PM

    You've never heard that phrase?

  38. Avatar_profileAceGoggles on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:31 PM

Arrgh. They all fit, but will not go.

  39. PonyguncropBananaPony on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:31 PM

Gaaaaah. I thought I had them all, but I have something wrong. But they all fit! Waaaah!

  40. Avatar_profileAppleAviN456 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:32 PM

    [30] check your email

  41. PonyguncropBananaPony on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:33 PM

Oh, never mind. I had the coke one wrong. Duh.

  42. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:34 PM

Ack Pony, me too! Needed a better clue on that one... two answers fit and are appropriate (based on where you live).

  43. FilePepperhairy_lime on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:35 PM

    Kudos ... good puzzle!

  44. FileRadishdreadnaut on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:35 PM

[41] THANK YOU!!! I had that one wrong and your post helped so thanks!

  45. FileRocketjdanhder on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:36 PM

Aargh! Who's that cat in the hat?

  46. FileSailboatCalloravion on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:38 PM

*Groan* good puzzle, but I didn't even get the theme until I had one left (the tongue depressor)

  47. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:43 PM

    [45] He was a Honeymooner.
He's also what you call a guy with no arms and no legs hanging on a wall.

  48. FileApplefletchbm on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:43 PM

I have them all but must have something wrong.... any help?

  49. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:44 PM

[48] The Coke one could have two answers that fit. Try them both.

  50. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:46 PM

I think that I have them all but the motorcycle, it doesn't seem that anyone had a hard time with that one, only me.

  51. FileApplefletchbm on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:47 PM

I tried both and nothing... maybe i have the singer wrong?

  52. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:47 PM

[50] What is the action the rider is performing on the moto?

  53. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:49 PM

[51] Singer is known as a Godfather... but he's a punk.

  54. FilePotatorevchewie on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:51 PM

[35] I thought it was Mick, too. Figured it out after MICK didn't fit with the other clues. heh

  55. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:52 PM

The theme is salted in [19].

  56. FileGrapesSneezy96 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:54 PM

[15] He was on The Honeymooners.

  57. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:55 PM

Got the theme but still not the tongue.

  58. FileGrapesSneezy96 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:05 PM

    SALT NEEDED PLEASE!

    Who is that singer????

What is with the tongue depressor???

I have all but those 2 & have no clue what the theme could be!

Edit: Never mind! I finally got the 2 I was missing.

  59. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:56 PM

[57] The tongue was tough. Looks like the doc is taking a swab of something... what will he develop with that?

  60. FileSailboatESQuire on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:58 PM

    [58]
    - See [53] for the singer. Google is your friend.
    - See [59] for a little salt on the tongue (shock!)!

  61. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:58 PM

    [59] Thank you.

  62. FileApplefletchbm on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:58 PM

Got the only to realize i don't have the tongue depressor. I even got the theme awhile ago.....

  63. Avatar_profileRadishRastus on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:59 PM

Anyone think the singer looks like Tony Danza?

  64. FileBananagrant5 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:00 PM

    99th! Woot!

  65. FileApplefletchbm on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:01 PM

    100th!

  66. FileBananagrant5 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:01 PM

I thought the singer was a kung fu guy until I read [53], thanks!

  67. FileRadishmhuber on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:03 PM

[59] THANK YOU!! That got the tongue depressor for me for the win!

  68. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:08 PM

RE the dentist: GROOOOOAAAAN, but fun.

  69. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:10 PM

(52)Now that I got the cycle, had to change the one for the tool, any help there, I had scythe, but that has to be wrong.

  70. FilePancakesCWarrior on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:19 PM

    Overall? Fun.

Suggestion: the Coke clue has two possible answers that end in the same letter. When using a clue like that, give us another letter via intersection or use a unique letter from the answer. For instance, it could have hung off from the question mark clue and thus avoided ambiguity.

  71. FileOnionRickj4029 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:53 PM

This was painful and while I got it, I still don't see the theme if there is one.

  72. Ag1Potatojeep on Mon Mar 03, 2008 11:47 PM

I think the singer gives away the theme best...

  73. FileApplewmshub on Tue Mar 04, 2008 12:29 AM

Dang, know who the singer is, but how does he relate to the puzzle?

Edit: Oops, had the wrong guy, I thought he was from the RHCP. Now I see how he fits.

  74. Sc002a57f6Pumpkinrunart on Tue Mar 04, 2008 03:09 AM

Man, at first glance I was sure that was Anthony Kiedis!! I would've been sitting here forever if I hadn't read the comments!!

  75. TerrysrAceSkyjack on Tue Mar 04, 2008 05:20 AM

Thats so wrong that something you put in the fridge for it to smell better.

  76. FileAcetinal89 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 05:31 AM

I still don't have the tongue one - I get the theme but am totally stumped on this one...can someone TG me?

  77. FilePancakestempus42 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:04 AM

Man, I still have no clue on the theme whatsoever. (Originally I was thinking along the lines of skateboard tricks, then I started thinking it was like an extended rebus. You can see how hopeless I am.) If anyone would like to tangagram me a hint on the theme, you'd be my very first tangagrammer! :)

  78. FileGarlicChupper on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:14 AM

The tongue depressor one would be easier with a picture of a dirty dish or agar.

man, I never realized how much that singer looks like Anthony Kiedis

    [77] TG sent

  79. FileKiwishiggins on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:19 AM

  80. 217303494_crw_7371110107Appleamaries80 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:24 AM

Could someone please TG me the theme? I'm just not getting this one!!

  83. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:32 AM

  84. FileKiwishiggins on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:44 AM

[82] wow, thanks! i kept saying his name with the theme and it wasnt clicking. i feel dumb.

    now for the tongue one

  85. Interlocking_nyRadishNiner on Tue Mar 04, 2008 06:56 AM

i'm with [80]... i have no clue on the theme, but i think i've got some of the clues...could i get a TG

  86. Avatar_profilePlumtiprod on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:08 AM

Thanks, [59] -- that was just enough salt for me.

  87. FileBananaBobcat on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:12 AM

    *GROAN*

    Just got the theme...

  88. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:30 AM

I finished this, but I can't think of the wrong answer for the coke bottles (since many of you are saying there are 2 that fit). The only incorrect word that I can think of is "cola" but that doesn't fit the theme. Or is cola correct in some places?

  89. 217303494_crw_7371110107Appleamaries80 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:44 AM

    finally got it!! :)

  90. FileBananagrant5 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 08:05 AM

    [85] TG sent.

  91. FileOnionimapuzzl on Tue Mar 04, 2008 08:15 AM

Well disguised theme. I had 3/4 of the puzzle filled in before I got to the animal in the field. Then the AHA moment struck. Had to change one answer (I had scythe too) and I felt the four letter answer the farthest left could also have been EARS, but the plural didn't fit the picture, so the intended answer was better.

All in all a good puzzle.

  92. FileApplemutilatedlips on Tue Mar 04, 2008 08:59 AM

Wow, they used my puzzle and I've been in training all day. For those who gave compliments, thank you! I hope you all enjoyed my 1st hypercross.

  93. FileRocketteeje on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:03 AM

The one looked SO much like a ferret... such a cool animal.

  94. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:03 AM

Very nice puzzle. A little hard with the tongue depressor, but....

  95. Avatar_profileGrapessigmazero13 on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:07 AM

Hmm, I obviously have something wrong, though I can't see what it is.

Perhaps it's the Holiday one. I see the connection, though the "thematic" way is spelled different than what the ? in the picture should be.

Or maybe the guy with the hat is wrong. But it looks right based on Wikipedia and the Honeymooners clue.

The only other one I can think of is the sales data one, but the word I found fits the other words and the theme, I think.

Any suggestions on what it MIGHT be, IE, common mistakes that could just be missed somewhere? (I got the tongue depresser one)

  96. Uff_horseAppleTrimster on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:38 AM

Der... that ain't cola! Had me stuck for a while!

  97. FileDuckieescKey on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:44 AM

I liked the puzzle and theme. A few of clues seemed spelled incorrectly (8, 3, 18) but still solvable. The swab was a bit difficult. It might have helped if a couple of the letters were at an intersection.

  98. FilePlumseasidebruin on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:49 AM

I don't get the theme? Please TG me.
    Thanks

  99. FileGrapesdelusionalnye on Tue Mar 04, 2008 09:58 AM

Finished but no idea what the theme is.

  100. TangausagiAppleshugyosha on Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:14 AM

I liked it to though I thought the scythe answer was not spelled that way, but with one letter less. Well, when combined with the theme anyway. Usually you have it spelled according to the thematic answer not the clued answer.
