  2. FileTomatobcgrote on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:16 PM

    Siamese bubbles? WTF?

Ah, post and solve! SHINY siamese bubbles!

Too bad it won't take my answers....

  3. Phi3CornPhilana on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:11 PM

  4. Avatar_profileOnionrvitale68 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:12 PM

    Salt on 5 please.

  5. FilePepperslog on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:12 PM

    Stuck on #5 and #10.

  6. FilePancakesepaz on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:13 PM

Would be nice if #5 crossed with more than one answer.

  7. Avatar_profileApplejfro on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:13 PM

wow number 5 has me totally stumped

  8. OctopusPeppercomishcraig on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:19 PM

Well I answered them all, but I still don't get it. Thanks to those who helped.

  9. FileSailboatloserkid7182 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:16 PM

    stuck on 5 as well.

  10. FilePepperslog on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:16 PM

    Is there a theme?

  11. FileSailboatloserkid7182 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:16 PM

[11] i just had an AHA moment on the theme. There is one but kind of subtle.

  12. Sammyhotslut1Radishby3times1minus1 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:17 PM

i guessed the theme before even solving one of the clues, but i still can't get 5.

  13. FilePancakesepaz on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:17 PM

[9] for #6, just write out what it is

for the theme, remember that we're in August, not March.

  14. Avatar_profilePotatocanyc on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:18 PM

    Fun!

  15. Avatar_profileOnionrvitale68 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:19 PM

    [9] TG sent.

  16. FilePepperslog on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:19 PM

I think #5 is a desert, but it's not taking my answers.

  17. FileDuckienrkii on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:19 PM

Anyone offering clues here on #5? I see a lot of people asking, but no hope of any salt yet....

  18. Avatar_profilePotatocanyc on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:19 PM

For #5 I just googled the name of the continent with the type of feature that is pictured, and the answer popped right out.

  19. FileDuckienrkii on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:21 PM

I take that back. Thanks [17]... Stay on that track.

  20. FilePepperslog on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:23 PM

Ah, now I see the theme - and that I had #10 wrong.

Beware the theme... At least in March.

  21. Avatar_profileOnionrvitale68 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:28 PM

    For #5 - A far off desert?

  22. FileSailboatloserkid7182 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:29 PM

[22] even with all of your comment changes i am still completely lost on 5! and google is not being a friend tonight.

  23. FilePepperslog on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:31 PM

    [23] Think fried squid.

  24. FilePancakesCWarrior on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:33 PM

I'd establish the theme first to make great strides in finding a guide suitable for solving this puzzle.

  25. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:35 PM

If I had any clue who is pictured in #4, I'd be done...

  26. Avatar_profilePepperdarthbarthus on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:37 PM

    Salt on 5 please!!

  27. Avatar_profilePepperdarthbarthus on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:38 PM

    Oops! Meant 10!

  28. FileSailboatloserkid7182 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:38 PM

am i going to feel like a complete idiot once i figure out 5!? i sure hope not, but its starting to stress me out!

  29. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:42 PM

[28] it is an optical phenomenon

  30. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:44 PM

[29] if you look like an idiot, you'll get your just deserts...

  31. Avatar_profileApplejfro on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:44 PM

wow I feel kinda silly for not getting the theme. or should I say getting the theme without understanding the correlation. solve.

  32. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:45 PM

feeling kind of bland on 5 and 6. Could really use some seasoning

  33. Carlin_500x602Potatopegasus69 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:47 PM

I know the theme, I thought I had all the answers but it's not taking them. All my answers fit the theme.

  34. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:49 PM

[33] for 5, see above, for 6, that is the answer, in the Caesarian section...

  35. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:51 PM

I see the salt for #5 but I am just not finding it and 6 is still stumping me.

  36. FileSailboatloserkid7182 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:53 PM

GOT IT! FINALLY! Tricky though. Maybe should have found a clue that better fit the puzzle. But still a good one!

  37. Carlin_500x602Potatopegasus69 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:55 PM

[37] Can I send you what I have so you can tell me where I am wrong?

  38. Avatar_profilePepperdarthbarthus on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:57 PM

Thanks [30], wikipedia is my friend.

  39. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:57 PM

    [36] TG sent

  40. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 07:58 PM

[39] any salt for clue #4?

  41. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:00 PM

[40] Thanks I see it now.

  42. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:06 PM

    [40] Get my TG?

  43. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:08 PM

    I still need 4 and 6.

  44. Carlin_500x602Potatopegasus69 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:08 PM

    Anyone willing to check mine?

  45. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:12 PM

[45] I will, finally got 4 and 6, you can TG me.

  46. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:13 PM

I am still dumbfounded by 6. I'm sure I am making it much harder than it actually is but I am just not seeing it.

  47. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:18 PM

[43] Yes, but other than the main characters, I am clueless about the Simpsons, but I finally figured it out. It was like bobbing for apples! Thanks!

  48. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:16 PM

he was sort of a bad apple too:)

  49. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:20 PM

I cry uncle! I think I have been stumped :(

  50. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:24 PM

So, that seems to have been harder than I expected. (Maybe we should have held it until March after all?) Hope people enjoyed it, mostly; sorry if the African geographic feature proved too hard.

  51. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:28 PM

[51] Forgiven:) Just because I am stuck doesn't mean it wasn't a good puzzle

  52. Avatar_profilePotatostevegamer on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:39 PM

somehow, i found the bubble picture the hardetst - missed the blurb at the bottom.

For #5, don't call it a "Bush" - I got the whole answer immediately once I got the theme.

  53. Avatar_profileGrapesmatty138 on Wed Aug 13, 2008 08:52 PM

clues couldve been better thought out, 1 letter for #5!?!?! why not just leave it off?!!?!?

  54. FileGarlicChupper on Wed Aug 13, 2008 09:00 PM

The answer for number 6 is spelled out right in front of you

  55. FileOnionimapuzzl on Thu Aug 14, 2008 04:39 AM

For # 5 I found a landform map that helped.

  56. FileOnionmetafor on Thu Aug 14, 2008 06:49 AM

I'm just dead on #4...any other salt out there please?

  57. BarrerahelmSailboatElGrande on Thu Aug 14, 2008 07:14 AM

I learned that the color of a bubble is an accurate measure of the thickness of the soap film. Fascinating...

  58. Avatar_profileApplejfro on Thu Aug 14, 2008 07:38 AM

    that is number 6

  59. Avatar_profileRocketbradlkm on Thu Aug 14, 2008 08:38 AM

[50] I think that #6 might be an abbreviation for something. . . (i.e. e.g., et al., etc.)

  60. FileGarlicChupper on Thu Aug 14, 2008 10:34 AM

[57] I'm sure Frasier Crane could help him work out his aggression.

  61. MsfrizApplekisler1224 on Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:00 AM

    salt on #10:

I just love to watch the bubble's eerie descent from the sky to the grass before it pops.

  62. Cuicocha2Sailboathokie98 on Thu Aug 14, 2008 12:12 PM

    Nice puzzle Tahnan!
[12] you are right... the theme is very subtle... took me awhile to see it

  63. FileOnionmetafor on Thu Aug 14, 2008 12:47 PM

    finally...thanks for the help.

  64. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Thu Aug 14, 2008 08:11 PM

    SOlved. but, what's the THEME?!?

  65. Avatar_profileAppletravelocity on Thu Aug 14, 2008 11:00 PM

[30] Thin-film doesn't fit anywhere in the clue, and that's necessary for every answer I can think of.

  66. AvatarEggplantOokpik on Fri Aug 15, 2008 05:19 AM

Got the theme. Got an answer for everything that fits the theme. "Sorry, that is not correct." Aargh!

  67. Linc2Bananaheccubus on Fri Aug 15, 2008 09:42 AM

That was a fun puzzle although I was stumped for a while on #1. I miss-typed the clue as Ramban in google and got the wrong answer that fit perfectly in not only the spaces but with the theme as well.

  68. AvatarEggplantOokpik on Fri Aug 15, 2008 12:41 PM

D'oh! Thanks heccubus, I did exactly the same thing with #1!

  69. Avatar_profileAppleqwertyca on Fri Aug 15, 2008 01:01 PM

    [62] Brilliant, thanks!
