Are these clues in the right place?

Somehow, they don't seem to fit, do they?

So there you go; something odd is going on, I just don't know what.

Very clever! - another one of those "I wish I had thought of that kind of puzzle!!!" (I say that often!)

I surrender. Donimo you have officially stumped me. I am not usually a quitter but I am completely lost. And [42] I got it. We all will eventually die. Genius or as easily baffled as myself, it will happen.

Big fun, a little tricky. Well balanced.

[49] Oh! I thought you'd broken in from your smiley in [24].

[48],[49] You need to think outside the box a bit to get the aha.

Take #1 for example. You probably have the right answer. The answer itself is not encoded nor a pun nor anything like that. You just have to figure out how to fit it into the grid, keeping the title in mind.

Note that #2 and #4 cross. If you get the right answers to those two, it should reveal the aha.

If you need heavier salt, just TG me.

The pain far out measured the pleasure with this one. "Clever" is a great concept that comes with no manual on how to execute it. There is no right or wrong way to do so... but some are more painful than others. I was not a fan of this one.

[51] that was it! Duh. I feel so foolish. I had thought of that right away and then discarded it because I couldn't figure out how to get #1 to work with the words crossing down. By starting and 2 and 4, it aha'ed me.

I think I was getting complacent in trying new ideas.

[51] Hmmm, I have the same answer for 2 and 4, which can't possibly be correct, because they have a different number of letters in the answer. That obviously, is not helping me get the aha here.

Edit: Oh, and I *think* I kinda know what I am supposed to be entering in here (given the title and the salt) but still don't get how to "decode" the answer words. 'Course, I could be completely off here!

This is the kind of thing that makes you need an interrobang.

Then you get it.

Hmmm, that was one sneaky good hyper! Thanks to soccer_ref and Donimo for pushing me the right way. I was only half right on the way to fill this in. Once I finally got it, it was a lot of fun (even though I have been working on this for 2 1/2 hours!)

I think I have #1 and #8, but not 100% sure. I can't figure anything else out, even after the salt. If someone could TG me that would be super.

soccer ref once again to my rescue. I finally got it in at #101 but I am sticking with my earlier Evil Genius theory! I am just glad there was no clue for a $shot..:)

My problem here is that I know all the answers, but mine won't take because there are three answers that have ... two options on how to enter the solution. That means a handful of combinations to try to get everything right. Kind of frustrating, when the rest of the puzzle is pretty neat.
*edit* Though after trying all the combinations it still won't take... which means it's going to be really hard to find what's wrong!
