Fun. Of course, I had to look up spelling for a few :) And I was 3 off on one of them (not bad from memory).
Great theme and puzzle.
[1] ?? I found no typos.
My first number #1!!!! Agree - I didn't find any typos either
Salt on the long one across - #2? No clue where to even start searching for that one. I have all the others.
Edit: wow! I found a list of fictional ships and found it pretty easily; I would have been sunk w/o that!
[4] [5] it's a common misspelling of the first word of the clue from star wars
who is the person in second clue?
[8] Humphrey Bogart! Of course. This one took a long time to come out on DVD. And who can forget the scene with the leeches.

2 l's 2 n's, right? How is that spelled right?
Stuck on 1, 2, and 5 - any help?

2. See [9]
5. This is the original from the 70's. There's a remake popular on SciFi now.
[4] There's at least one.
I believe that in reading the books you will find that it is properly spelled with one or two n's
Any salt on 6 or 10?
Edit: OK, got 6, still trying to figure out 10. Who is that guy?
LOL. Wow. Well, oddly enough, I wasn't sure how to spell it, so I just mistyped it into Google, and Google came back "Do you mean XXXXXXXXX XXXXX?" with *the exact spelling in this puzzle* :)
But yeah, I see it now. Definitely spelled differently on other fairly official sources.
NOBODY CORRECT IT YET!!!! :)
[17]where's the typo? not the Star Wars clue. see: http://imdb.com/title/tt0076759/trivia
need 1 2 & 8
Is 6 a typo
[19] 6. I could tell you, but it would ruin it
10. The answer is out of your league
[23] no.
[21] LOL, scarver. It is spelled correctly in every instance on that page you linked... except for the first instance! I'll bet you didn't search further than that :)
[26] I guess you could prove it either way, then.
[24] Mmm, 11 is definitely out of my league, but I don't know about 10
[28] Open wide. And don't be afraid of the water.
Have all but 6...
6 help please? have no idea where to even look
[30] [31] see [24]. If you can master looking things up.
[31] Welcome back!
[21] It's spelled wrong on that page too. Trust me. I have a box from the ship...it is the double N
Scroll down on this page and look at the pic for #4 http://www.retrojunk.com/details_articles/75

[40] thx!!
*** ATTENTION!!! ***
This puzzle will be corrected at 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
You have been warned.
For the questionable spelling one- is it one or two Ns? I'm sick of repeatedly changing this as I check the one answer I don't have - which happens to be #6.

Ahhh! Can't get #10!
And yes, the star trek one is definitely misspelled.
[48] the star TREK one is misspelled? Does it have a Z for some reason?
Stuck. On. #10. For soooo long now. Want to finish puzzle. *headdesk*
[50] Me too!!
Nice puzzle, even though # 7 is DEFINITELY misspelled. Look on the official website for that series.
#10 You might see one at Sea World, scientifically speaking

[50] rather a toothy movie
Dangit! Now I have them all...but it won't take it.

TYPO-
Sorry for this, I really tried to get everything right but it looks like most of you are figuring it out.
I do hope those that have finished the puzzle enjoyed it. If/when I do another Iâll triple check the spelling, maybe Iâll even quadruple it!
[53] [54] Whoo-hoo! Thanks! I have them all now, and they all fit!
Whew! Got it! I had #1 wrong...I thought it had darwin, but I was wrong.
SALT for #10:
Hooper: You were on the Indianapolis?
Brody: What happened?
Quint: Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, chief. It was comin' back, from the island of Tinian Delady, just delivered the bomb. The Hiroshima bomb. Eleven hundred men went into the water. Vessel went down in twelve minutes. Didn't see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger. Thirteen footer. You know, you know that when you're in the water, chief? You tell by lookin' from the dorsal to the tail. Well, we didn't know. `Cause our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. Huh huh. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first light, chief. The sharks come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know it's... kinda like `ol squares in battle like a, you see on a calendar, like the battle of Waterloo. And the idea was, the shark would go for nearest man and then he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the shark would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a shark, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then you hear that terrible high pitch screamin' and the ocean turns red and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin' they all come in and rip you to pieces.
Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many sharks, maybe a thousand! I don't know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin' chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland. Baseball player, boson's mate. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up. Bobbed up and down in the water, just like a kinda top. Up ended. Well... he'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us, he swung in low and he saw us. He'd a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper, anyway he saw us and come in low. And three hours later a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened? Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water, three hundred and sixteen men come out, the sharks ttook the rest, June the 29, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.
Damn, I love that movie.
ok... now I'm only stuck on #8. I don't even know who that is.
[63] boy, you are one fast typist!
[63] that is seriously one of the great monologues in film history.
[64] pardon the language but it will take Hale of a clue to get. And I apologize for swearing like a Navy sailor.
[63] That belongs in the movie quote thread and you know it! Anyone else getting deja vu on this theme? I swore we'd done it before, but I couldn't find it in the archives.
Is it just me?
The salt I've seen for #6 seems to be quotes from the film, or something similar. Unfortunately, I don't get the reference. Any other help possible? (or am I wrong about what has been given...?)
[54] The birthday party you didn't know about...
[50] Spielberg bites!
Is anyone else having troubles with the spelling of #7?
Spelled right, it don't fit! If this doesn't take me an eternity, at least a ..... Salt anyone?
rat pong!
[72] Use one "n"
woohoo... 99th solver. First time I got top 100 for all 4 puzzles. Thanks all.
thanks for the salt. I got them all now... and in time to squeeze out a few bonus points even. I was not expecting digits.
GREAT puzzle. Had fun with this.
[69] #6 or #10?
[44] Hey, Tangans.
I had every intention of correcting the misspelling here as previously stated, but I can only add rows and colums to the end edges of the grid, not the beginning ones. So I can't add one letter to the FRONT of the Star Wars word, only to the end.
Way too many other words to move, then.
So no correction, sorry. But there's plenty of salt here, and I'm glad to see people are still enjoying this one.
salt on 8
numbers in a crossword puzzle? that's a first for me unless they are roman numerals.
[78] If you try here for #6 and know the name of the movie it will mention the name you need.
http://www.imdb.com/
[81] Yes there are numbers! :o)
Okay, I changed the title. This should help.
[80] Mac, go look at [67] and [81]
[79] Thanks for trying.
[68] #6. I have others.
[82] If I knew the movie, I'd be done already. IMDB is one of my favorite sites, and not just for Tanga.
[87] Do you know the actor?
[87] The birthday party you didn't know about...
got them all now, thanks for all the salt
was #100!!!
[87] me too...gotta have some sort of starting point and facial recognition sure aint it for me! lol
[87] if you were the master and commander, the name of this vessel would not come as a shock to you
[84] falco? ;)
[91]There's so much salt there you didn't leave any for the rest of us! :o)
Salt for #6: You might able to find the answer on the far side of the world.
[92] ?? It says first word. Maybe you need to refresh :)
[81] There have been numbers in hypercrosses before. I think I even remember some punctuation once or twice.
Thanks for all the help. Once I finally got a starting point, it, of course, came out easy. I still don't get the birthday reference, but at least the one I was stuck on was my only mistake.
My worst fear was that after all the help, I'd find out I had it, and another was wrong.
[97] My worst fear happened, a TYPO! with my first puzzle.
[95] You're right, it said "first word" after I refreshed.
some salt for number 6
What did gomer pyle used to say 3 times in a row??
