I heard a radio piece a couple of years ago about how kids with different native languages would have vastly different answers to these clues. This one might be more difficult if English isn't your first language.
It's funny, I had trouble with the donkey one too so I fired up google and typed in "cats XXXX elephants XXXXXXX donkeys" and I answered it out loud to msyelf!
This was fun, thanks!
Once again, I had to click the check answer button twice to get my answer accepted.
[2] I did as well.
same here
Ummmm...what sound does an elephant and a rooster make?
"We're not going to save your answer"
I can't tell if that's an error, or supposed to be cute.
(Probably both)
A rooster-elephant crumpets.
And the donkey?/???
I'm stuck on the donkey sound...
I got it.
I liked that one a lot. Not hard, but fun.
Fun Fun!
Thanks!
(still some TPs going begging from Last Night's Tanga Times! http://tanga.com/blogs/967)
Nice One!!! FUN, not frustrating!! Cudos!
Nice one. Good fun
I only had to look up the Donkey and Hyena (I should have known the hyena though, but the donkey I had no idea!) nice puzzle :)
nice robrizob! And cute title
Good one, rob! Fun!
I've searched and cannot find a definitive name for the sound an ass/burro/donkey makes.
Nevermind. Wife found it.
Great, first hypercross I've solved.
Why doesn't the hypercross save your answer or give you Tanga points?
Fun hypercross tonight, but I guess I'm no longer a freakin' genius!
[18] - just click the "Check answers" again and you'll see that it gave you the points.
[19] Did that and it just said I solved the puzzle, still no points (not that they matter anymore)
{18 and 20} Make sure that you hit the check answers button twice to get your Tanga points.
That was a nice, easy one.

[23] The puzzles on this site are aimed at an English speaking audience, so that shouldn't be a problem.
EDIT: NM, I see that you were referring to those who speak it as a second language.
What is the deal with having to check twice?

Are all these the same in British English, I wonder?
Nice puzzle. Very straightforward. And thanks for making this. The hypercross puzzles are my favorites, and I've been missing them!
