The second word across (from the top) is misspelled.
And second word down (from the top) does not apply in North America. (The photo is of the North American mascot, which represents the other brand.)

I guess "check your spelling" only applies to us. :u)

That rabbit ISN'T for what it is. Is anyone "proof-testing" these things before they are posted???

Funny about the bunny mix up. I had a friend who was a VP in marketing at Duracell (before Gilette bought them). They loved the E bunny commercials as most consumers associated it with duracell when asked on the street. I guess the puzzlemaker is one of them!

Any clues on the first word across? I don't recognize anything about the image.

[2] No, thats the way you spell it, at least in my neck of the woods.
Edit... well the url works, and I looked right at the logo and didnt see that extra letter. :)

[7] the setting itself is a good clue to what type of thing it's advertising; with the first letter, it shouldn't be too hard
[8] I trust the company's brand logo more than your neck of the woods ;p

First word across is a pretty recent campaign, so not iconic like most of the others.

Wiki tells me that the dog one is wrong too. The pic shown is instead on the wiki page for HMV. Maybe it's the same as with the bunny case - people think the wrong thing first.
Does anyone know for sure?

Yesterday's had a misspelling in it as well since the cartoon character was spelled with a "y" instead of the item's "ie" ending. Oh well. :(

Got em all (I think) except the top across.

The dog one is definitely correct. Look at the eight paragraph (and a bit beyond) of that HMV wiki page.

yesterdays were more phonetic clues, not direct. "ie" and "y" have the same sound and when you get the theme the clue is not the answer, just simply the clue to the true answer.

This was disappointing with its one wrong answer, one misspelling, and one image I've never seen.

... and I guess why that's why the thing kept giving me a "sorry dude" message. I had to reload and get the corrected puzzle before I could finish this puppy.
Has anyone mentioned how long it takes to download the clues on dial-up? Now imagine doing that twice. I want four points!

Salt: The top-across product is in the same general category as the one with the horses.

Any salt on the horses? The only thing I could think of would never fit.
Edit: NM, thanks [26].
Edit: I'm tempted [28], even though I've already solved the puzzle...

[25] Thanks for that tip. I thought the image looked familiar, but couldn't place it. All the others I got instantly.

not that it matters, but if you're going for the actual name of the company then the morris one is wrong. The number isn't spelled out, but seeing as it's a puzzle thing I guess we can let it go ;)

I think the sad part is how quickly I recognized the brands and their associated mascots. Talk about brainwashing and product identification. I gotta watch less television...

I breezed through all of these until I got to Morris the Cat. I remembered the commercials, but I couldn't remember what they were selling. Good thing the internet is full of this kind of useless information!

I don't believe I've ever seen the top across image before... But not having cable might be the problem? Either way [34] is totally right...

I got them all but mispelled the gecko one - originally I put in gecko and then once I figured the pattern, I left the k in there. The other one was the baby one which as soon as I saw it I knew it wasn't spelt correctly. Don't know how that happened.
The last couple of days I wasn't able to get on here right at the new puzzles switchover and looks like it's been saving me some frustration!

[35] Technically the answer for that one is not quite right... similar a problem in yesterday's crossword.
The top across (man with book) has two guys. They both think that they are "Brilliant!".
What's up with the bunny being used? Maybe the bunny should be saying "Not me!" or "That other brand"?
