Fun one! I'll take two more just like it!

Fun one.

Yes, that was fun.

Very nice puzzle, ref!

How bazaar! ;-)

LOL! Thank you [1][2][3][4]. I had a lot of fun making it.

LSMFT, (blank) to an American! Fun, it took the Wise Men type clue for me to get it.

#3 on I got it.
I needed some #10 to find the answer to #8 tho'
got it.

[7] LSMFT??? I haven't heard that since I was a little girl!!! Took me back a few years with that one!

very fun.

YAY! Fun!

Pretty neat. The title is great; a bonus puzzle finding the theme. But...

IMO, 6,7, and 8 don't fit at all. A big flaw.

Good one....but I didn't get one answer or even have a clue until I hit # 11

[12] I guess you'd have to look at it as fitting homonymically speaking. :)

[14] but, not so! (I feel like splitting a few hairs tonight :-) ).

In 6 and 7, the second syllable is pronounced a bit differently than if the theme is followed. And the pronunciation for 8 is entirely different - the last syllable (which is the theme) is contracted in the normal pronunciation of the answer.

Hair-splitting aside, I do think it's a very nice puzzle, and would be much 'cleaner' if those items were omitted. The others are plenty by themselves.

I liked, I liked.

I really have to say [15]'s comments are very fair -- I was indeed thrown off by 6 through 8, as well. (I had a moment of 'huh?!', and then an 'ooooh.')

I found the above comment to be critical, but not ranty and blindly mean as some comments can be. I submit puzzles, and welcome comments such as those: a reasonable critique for maintaining the quality of puzzles on the site. And it includes a pat on the back, as well.

Nicely puzzled, soccer_ref! And nicely commented, gst.
