I found #4 and #6 to be the hardest- and the most fun after I solved them.
Great puzzle!

For #1 on the subtraction part, you want the container name for the cola.

Whoops, sorry, not number 1...number 6. It's at the top, so my brain assumed it was #1.

Loved it, esp. #6!
BTW, can't we give the woman a hand, too? Some of us love to use the stuff in this puzzle, especially the POWER ones! (And I meant that in the cleanest way possible!)
[25] It's a general term, not a specific one.

[27] I actually came up with this because I'm the one who has the tools and the toolbox in my house. So, when I fix something, I'm giving the man a hand. :)

Araaargh! Had all of them correct, but wouldn't take.
Found out that #10 has two different spellings....either using the Y or the I as the first vowel.
I chose the wrong one.

I have NO IDEA how I got 7 except from the 2 letters I got crossing it and the theme. I really still don't have a clue, but the puzzle was a lot of fun.

#2 is not coming to me. I typed in exactly what the clue is and it actually fits; however, I think it should be some fasteners that I've never heard the type of?
edit: yeah, exactly. I got it to work, but still never heard of them...

For [41] or anyone else wondering about #7, that is a particular species of primate. Try the reverse (add the answer to what is subtracted) and look up the name.

Nice one, ScoutMom! #6 was, indeed, a tricky one, but was so satisfactory once I got it. I should've gotten it easier! We've made jokes about that. Some woman friend of ours says she can't get a boyfriend -- "No problem!" we'd say, "Just go the hardware store, and pick up a _____."
(OK, OK, it's not a FUNNY joke.)
