NM - I got it. That one's a bit of a stretch, though. Other than that, great puzzle!

I think I have everything, but it isn't taking. I tried a few things for the hatchet, but nothing seems to work. I can't think of alternates for anything else that still fits.

RE: #6 There is only one item pictured, but the word I got was for two or more items. But then it says my answers are incorrect.

I forgot there was another alternative for #11. No wonder #2 didn't fit. :p
#6: It is a slight stretch. It's been a while since my phonetics class, but I think a fricative was changed to an affricate, but in the same place of articulation, so they sound similar but there's a little added something.
#9: Removed, too salty.

[9] thanks a lot! I don't know if I would have thought of that. I tried "axis" and "asks" (the latter using the ebonic pronunciation of the word)
Too bad. I was hoping to solve from the tumbnails (the only way to get a good rank on dial-up)

Posted on Fri Jul 25, 2008 10:10 PM |
Number 6 is a stretch, I thought it was playing not off hatchet, but "adze" and was trying "adds" which was nice, but wrong.
71st at 40 minutes
EDIT - More than 1 TG about the "stretch" comment. I guess where I'm from the solution is a stretch (pronunciation or emphasis wise) but others are not finding it so, so if my comment steered you away, I apologize. A potato potato moment.

13 wouldn't load for me, and I had to struggle with the thumbnail. Finally got it from the letters that crossed it - thank goodness that gave me half the letters to work from.
