    I'm utterly lost on #9.

  2. Avatar_profileRocketUbiDubi on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:09 PM

I've got them all, but it says it's incorrect>

  3. Pretzel3_profileTomatoDavmar on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:10 PM

    any help with #9 please

  4. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:10 PM

I would help, but not sure if I have that one right, it won't take my answers either.

  5. Avatar_profileRocketUbiDubi on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:10 PM

    Just say it.

  6. FileOnionzyrilia on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:13 PM

    Argh... just need #6

NM - I got it. That one's a bit of a stretch, though. Other than that, great puzzle!

  7. FilePepperpepperhead on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:11 PM

got them all and no good

  8. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:11 PM

I think I have everything, but it isn't taking. I tried a few things for the hatchet, but nothing seems to work. I can't think of alternates for anything else that still fits.

  9. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:11 PM

    [6] Think of a play

  10. OctopusPeppercomishcraig on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:12 PM

I can take a TG to check answers

I have a hyper like this waiting to be approved.

  11. Avatar_profileRocketUbiDubi on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:12 PM

RE: #6 There is only one item pictured, but the word I got was for two or more items. But then it says my answers are incorrect.

  12. Carlin_500x602Potatopegasus69 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:13 PM

  13. Avatar_profileRocketUbiDubi on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:13 PM

[9] Tried that, but still no good.

  14. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:14 PM

for #6 I am willing to bet that we COULD get it if we thought long enough

  15. FileXylophoneCinMel on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:14 PM

for anyone having problems... send me a TG with what you have and I'll check your answers...

  16. Pretzel3_profileTomatoDavmar on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:15 PM

    Logs, piles, cords??

  17. Carlin_500x602Potatopegasus69 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:15 PM

[13] How about a book in the Bible?

  18. 1981709Sailboatjgf on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:42 PM

I forgot there was another alternative for #11. No wonder #2 didn't fit. :p

#6: It is a slight stretch. It's been a while since my phonetics class, but I think a fricative was changed to an affricate, but in the same place of articulation, so they sound similar but there's a little added something.

    #9: Removed, too salty.

  19. FilePepperpepperhead on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:16 PM

    [9] awesome thanks

    [17] excellent salt

  20. Avatar_profileAppletinywarriorette on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:18 PM

Number 9 is driving me nuts!!!!!!!

  21. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:18 PM

got it if anywon :) wants some help

  22. FilePancakesepaz on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:19 PM

Fun! (And I would trade in all my tanga points for a pair of those shoes.) :-)

  23. OctopusPeppercomishcraig on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:19 PM

    [20] The answer isn't plural.

  24. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:20 PM

[9] thanks a lot! I don't know if I would have thought of that. I tried "axis" and "asks" (the latter using the ebonic pronunciation of the word)

Too bad. I was hoping to solve from the tumbnails (the only way to get a good rank on dial-up)

  25. FileAppleboop on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:20 PM

Me too. And 13 isn't fitting.

  26. Cuicocha2Sailboathokie98 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:20 PM

[20] I'm with you... got them all but 9

  27. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:22 PM

#9 is hard to salt lightly. That chuck family of animals might have chucked that

  28. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:22 PM

    oops

  29. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:24 PM

for #9, I'd give some salt, but ... actually, I just gave some!

  30. Cuicocha2Sailboathokie98 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:24 PM

[27] LOL... It had just click after I posted, but that works too... unfortunately I must be off on something else because it isn't taking

  31. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:24 PM

    [29] good salt!

  32. FileXylophoneQurqirishDragon on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:25 PM

[31] thanks. You may have seen about 3 rephrasings in the last minute as I figured how not to give too much....

  33. ImagesGarlicracheal0101 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:26 PM

    [32] That one was tricky

  34. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:35 PM

[30] You can TG me if you would like.

  35. Cuicocha2Sailboathokie98 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:37 PM

[34] I got it now... thx for the offer!

  36. MsfrizApplekisler1224 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:39 PM

    salt for #7?

  37. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Fri Jul 25, 2008 10:10 PM

Number 6 is a stretch, I thought it was playing not off hatchet, but "adze" and was trying "adds" which was nice, but wrong.

    71st at 40 minutes

EDIT - More than 1 TG about the "stretch" comment. I guess where I'm from the solution is a stretch (pronunciation or emphasis wise) but others are not finding it so, so if my comment steered you away, I apologize. A potato potato moment.

  38. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:42 PM

[36] Good in soup with potatoes, oh darn there's a hole in the pot! quick towels!

  39. 1981709Sailboatjgf on Fri Jul 25, 2008 07:43 PM

[36] The vegetable shown is related to onion and garlic, though it doesn't look like it. I think there was a Good Eats episode on it.

  40. Current.deal.avOnionmonocle on Fri Jul 25, 2008 08:10 PM

    grate puzzle!

  41. FileSailboatdagibbs on Fri Jul 25, 2008 08:15 PM

Hm... top 100 this late. Found them all pretty easy but 6 and 9.

  42. Avatar_profileAcepitbull44 on Fri Jul 25, 2008 08:19 PM

[36] If you gotta go, you gotta go!

  43. SquintsAppleriseoverrun on Fri Jul 25, 2008 10:25 PM

    Thanks to [14] and [17]

  44. Potc_43Carrotrcrasackett on Fri Jul 25, 2008 11:34 PM

I had sum fun with that won, grate puzzle.

  45. Hermit_crab-206Garlichwango on Sat Jul 26, 2008 02:54 AM

13 wouldn't load for me, and I had to struggle with the thumbnail. Finally got it from the letters that crossed it - thank goodness that gave me half the letters to work from.

  46. FilePancakeshatemachine on Sat Jul 26, 2008 04:59 AM

Darn it...I submitted a hyper just like this a few days ago. Guess it won't be published for a while...or ever since the mods reject puzzles that are too similar to other puzzles.

    Good one CinMel.

  47. FileAppleboop on Sat Jul 26, 2008 08:44 AM

Yes!!! I got it!!! Thanks to family members, actually.

  48. Sammyhotslut1Radishby3times1minus1 on Sat Jul 26, 2008 11:02 AM

i had so much trouble with 9, and it ended up being so simple and obvious

  49. FileDuckieescKey on Sat Jul 26, 2008 11:30 AM

Took me long enough. Great puzzle.

  50. FileDuckiedavey3 on Sat Jul 26, 2008 06:14 PM

Thanks [27] ... #9 was the toughest one here. #6 didn't exactly fit but was easy enough to guess.

  51. Avatar_profileGrapesKtCallista on Sun Jul 27, 2008 12:16 AM

Can't believe how long #13 took me. . . good puzzle, I liked it.

  52. FileSailboatyelowflower on Mon Jul 28, 2008 05:23 AM

anyone still taking TGs? mine isn't working ;(

  53. Our_planetariumRocketfenwic on Mon Jul 28, 2008 06:26 AM

[51] I know! No matter how I tried to squeeze in "Artist Formerly Known As..." it wouldn't fit!

Very nice puzzle. Totally doable. I didn't really find any stretches at all. Well done.

  54. ShoeAppleslightlyslapdash on Mon Jul 28, 2008 10:05 AM

hrmmm... I have the item in #7... just can't figure out what the answer should be. *sigh*

EDIT: I had an 'ah ha' moment - was thinking it was a different item.
    post and solve!

  55. FileSailboatyelowflower on Mon Jul 28, 2008 11:19 AM

any help on #14? I think that's the one I'm messed up on

  56. Our_planetariumRocketfenwic on Mon Jul 28, 2008 11:32 AM

[55] it's a specific kind of flower. Often comes in dozens...

  57. Avatar_profileLemonDLee1210 on Mon Jul 28, 2008 04:18 PM

Well, I got it...but at 286th, I pretty much feel dumber than dirt! hahaha....lthough, I DO like the timer...0 seconds...hahaha!
