Using the link in [4] worked - got 8 points from playing in the test game and it seemed to work fine for me (but I'm using IE 6). Unfortunately it's back to work now.
this link does not work in IE when i clicked on it.

I used the link that lead foot provided and got into a game but could not see the pics so I was eliminated.
Couple of weird things, when I was playing the top of the screen said i had only 682 tanga points and I have well over 2000.
Also when I tried to leave by hitting home or daily fun, I got an error message and went to a screen where the deal of the day was the Sharp Digital DJ, all of the puzzles were old, and the url was www.butthead.tanga.com. Once I closed my browser and came back everything was fine. Weird!!!!!
[13] Same here....Got to the site in IE6 - but no images served up.
Don't worry about the points/puzzles/etc - that is a development server/image of Tanga and appears to be the "as then" state from a few months back. Not live data at all.
I played but the points i won were not credited to my account!!!???
Not that it will be a high priority, but it doesn't work using the iPod Touch browser. It just hangs at the "connecting to Picathon server" with the spinning arrow logo.

Yes and no. It works, but when I try to navigate away, everything messes up.
First off, it didn't give me the points. Next, when I tried to go some where else, it some how rolled me back to December 18, and the current offer was Ra with an XXL t-shirt. I tried to buy it (can never get enough cheap Ra games!), but when it went to confirm my credit card I got some errors. Also, I got errors when trying to check out my points (which was reset to 525 or something).
Seems pretty buggy at the moment, although that could be the "butthead" server part of Tanga. I tested it with IE6. Also, why the name "butthead" for the server? lol silly...
Why does it say I'm "spectating" for one or more questions?

Yeah I got thrown back in time as well. I actually bought the Ra/T-shirt combo as well and if confirmed everything and said it would be sending me my confirmation e-mail. I hope it doesn't charge me anything. Weird!
Will double check at home tonight - but wonder if I am not seeing images because they come from a non-Tanga site. For example:

If I try to go to this URL directly, it appears that the security/firewall here is blocking it. Will try from home tonight to see if it is a general or site-specific issue I am getting.
Still can't see the images. If it is being filtered though Flickr then I will never be able to.
Woo hoo - we broke butthead.tanga.com altogether!
Can't get back in.
It's interesting, because clicking on the link in [4] doesn't even put the url into my browser - I just get the "loading" circle endlessly going around
and I can still post comments while it's doing it - and it continues "loading" after I post the comment.

I get the url and it says opening page. The little bar at the bottom has about 2/3 of the way to fill up and that's as far as it goes. It's funny cause my internet provider has a little roadrunner that runs along in the corner when the page is loading and he just keeps running, and running, and running....his poor little legs are gonna fall off! LOL
is there a coyote chasing him?

On my MacBook running IE under XP in Parallels, I cannot connect to the above link. It just says IE cannot display the page.
jppe5 - it's been broken for about an hour... for all browsers as far as I can tell.

I would get the specating for one picture during the middle of the game. Otherwise very interesting, played one game where we had 4 people playing. In an even amount of contestants round, if 1/2 pick one picture and 1/2 pick the other, no picture got a majority, so everyone gets strikes. Also in another game with 3 people, I had 2 strikes and one person exited the game, so on the next picture, the remaining contestant picked one, I picked the other, got the last strike and the other contestant was the sole winner. So the logic behind this game is working properly. GJ to whoever has been working on this.

For those getting 404 errors from alternate locations/devices (e.g. the iPod Touch [17] mentioned), it may be that your work/device have port 7010 blocked.
For me, I'm not sure what's up. I got to the butthead site but I've got a perpetual "Connecting to the LIVE Picathon server..." here at work. It's worked fine when I've tried it from home. At home, though, I *know* what my setup is, and I *know* I don't have any ports blocked. :-)

Got in and played no problem. Had the problem getting out, took me back in time to when Ra and trash were being sold.
Same as [45]. Also sending messages displayed funny for a few seconds - text to the lef overwriting the message box until page updates and moves text into the message box area.
I cannot log in at all. Is it a problem to be already logged on to Tanga in Firefox? It keeps telling me login failed in IE, but works fine in Firefox
Safari 3.0 seems to be working fine. So far so good.
On I.E. 7 on XP I get an prompt asking me if I'm sure I want to navagate away from this screen (what? why?) and then an error about a flash update. That needs to be handled better.
OK, I went to Adobe and finally got the flash player to download and install. It seems to work ok, although in one round on one set of pictures I was a spectator for no reason, even though I was an active participant in the rest. I believe I got a strike on that pic, too, even though I couldn't select either.
I have a hard time believe such a simple UI needs flash. You should be able to do it all in javascript.
The "3 out of 3 remaining" isn't working. It always shows the same number, unless I'm confused. I was thinking that's the number of pictures left in the round? Or is it the number of participants? If the latter, that needs to be reworded.
The talk smack messages (IE 7 XP) are sliding all the way to the right until the screen refreshes
[21] Checking from home - I can see the images on IE6. Either something has been tweaked, or firewalls/proxies muck up the image serving.
My Tanga points get messed up when I click the link. Instead of 9337 points, it shows 3389 points.
Of course .... "that" site isn't the current live version. It is an archived version from a few months ago. For example, when I go there, I see a previous avatar only. It is a clone of the website used for development testing.
What is confusing is that the tabs work (just like here) but you are moving around a copy of an older, much older version of the site.
since the game is currently being played on an older copy of the site on a seperate sever, does that mean points aren't being added to our actual totals?

and yes, because this is a beta site these are fake points that will not be added to your "real" tanga totals.
OK Much more fun with more players.....but:
(a) Couple of times had the same image left and right.
(b) A group of players could all decide to choose only left or only right for most of the game - locking it until such time they decide to end it. If there are N players voting on a pair of pics - might want to let a picture only get N-1 max clicks. This forces at least 1 strike each pair of picture.
(c) Game still says I am spectating at times when I have made a pic selection.
In addition to everything [62] said, you can't see the chat and the game at the same time very well.

I still don't understand the obsession with games and puzzles. I guess it's an attempt to make Tanga "sticky" -- come for the games, stay to buy stuff?
There needs to be some beep when it's about to start or something. Also, it's easy to sit on the results screen and miss the next round. There should be a countdown.
the eliminated bar is confusing. I would think it would just show who was eliminated, not that you have to click on it.
Why can't i get in on my account! I made a new one at the site and i can get in on that one but not my real one. And i can't see the pictures.
In IE7: I get into a game and then on the second or third image it will tell me "no picks for you" and that I'm a spectator. It then proceeds to strike me out.
Just won one a minute ago, though, so it appears to be randomly calling me out with no rhyme or reason (like Eric Gregg).
I still don't understand the "spectating" bit. Why does it seemingly randomly say a player is spectating for occasional questions? And it doesn't seem fair that a person spectating gets a strike if everybody else ties.
As dumb as this game is, it's even dumber when one has to choose between two identical pictures; the two pictures should always be different.
This is a totally brainless game that will apparently award a lot of points for doing little. I recommend cutting the points awarded in half.
When you're on the "butthead" server and click on Home it shows you that the deal of the day is a copy of Ra with an XXL t-shirt. I tried to order one and was successful!! But when I realized that this was just on a test-server, I cancelled my order... You guys should try to make it clear that the current offer on "butthead" is not really live and current.

Tried to get on a game b/c the concept sounds interesting.
Sadly, I've been getting the Connecting to Server constant circle thingy every time I try to get on.
I haven't used Safari to access the game yet and, seeing as someone else had success wit it, I might try thAT tomorrow, if I have enough time.
But it doesn't matter where I try to access it from (my lappy (old and dying), computer in Office, iMacs in the Design labs, iBooks on the schools network), FireFox and IE won't work for this game and me.
Will try later with my Qii and Safari on the iMacs.
Tanga Joe has fixed the spectating bug - go and try to break it!!! :-)
So, yesterday I tried it for the first time, and it was mildly amusing, with a couple of problems:
1. Had to sit for long stretches waiting for enough people.
2. When enough people showed up to play, there was no beep or update that let me know that, so I had to keep that window up, or miss the game starting.
Today, though, it's become unplayable. The pictures are now displayed vertically instead of side to side. In order to see them without scrolling, I had to maximize my browser window, which I *never* do, because I have other things to do as well. Even maximized, the window display "bounces around" as pictures and other elements load and reload. It's ugly. I dropped out after one game and won't bother with it again the way it is now.

It looks like we may have the Picathon working in IE 7 and IE6 now but we need some more testing to see what types of bugs might creep up. We would love it if you would join in and play some games and then post here with any new bugs you might see.
