Can we get the porn out of the picathon?

Wow! I haven't seen anything even remotely like that! Hell, since they changed things from the original (and really rather small) set of pics they had, I haven't seen much that's even all that salacious. (They had a bunch of bikini-clad women in the original set, haven't seen a single bikini since the expanded set of pics started.)

I have only played the picathon a handlful of times since the IE issue was repaired and have not seen those types of pictures either.
Leadfoot posted a very good idea at http://www.tanga.com/forum/blogs/1520-Picathon_... that would probably solve Hope's concerns if implemented.
Although I have not seen the aforementioned types of photos I would gladly join in asking that they not be shown on the picathon.

I have not seen any of those types of photos, but I don't want to, so I'd like to join in asking that there be some kind of filtering process

Hmm...that is odd, we are using the Flickr Api with the content filter "Safe - Content suitable for a global, public audience". So it *should* only pull family save photos. We'll look into it...

I updated the flickr code -- let's see if anyone sees more naughty things.

I really appreciate it. I don't want to sound terribly prudish, but there have been a couple that have made people say, "whoa" in the comments.

I rarely play the picathon, but I've also seen some of the pictures that Hope described. In fact, I sent TangaJoe a Tangagram about it on 3/28. He responded on 3/29 that he'd look into it.

I have't played the picathon since then, so I don't know if the 3/30 fix worked. But I hope that people will report it if they see such pictures in the future.

Last night while playing, I saw one of the "whoa" pictures. Granted, the pictures are small, but the young woman was clearly not wearing a top. I know, not "everything" was visible, but enough to know what you were seeing.

Dang, how come I don't ever get tantilizing barely-anything-there hard-to-see smaller-than-a-tumbnail erotic-by-absence-of-clarity photos?

I turned a couple different shades of red when my 12 year old daughter was playing the picathon on my login, when two naked couples having sex came up. That was the only time that I saw a pic like that, havent't seen any more since.

There was one of a woman wearing only stockings and another of a topless woman, not from the back or side but clearly visible, walking down a public, city street.

[9] you and me both. Is this some twisted way to get *more* people to play *more* Picathon? lol I've yet to see anything remotely risqué.

it's up to the person that uploads the picture on flickr to flag it as not safe. How are the pictures being pulled right now? Maybe it would be safer to set up a tanga group on flickr, and then we could all join and add our own pictures. I'd love to see how my pictures fare against other tanga users so much more than just random crap on flickr.... It'd be really easy to set up to just pull from your own public flickr group, and anyone that tries to add anything not safe for work could be banned, and easily removed. Seems hard to filter out nudity out other wise, plus let us submit our own pictures PLEASE! :)

Also the pulling from everywhere on flickr is getting a lot of stuff that's not to fun to look at anyway. let your users create the pool of images, not just random junk.

We're going to let people upload images for usage in the picathon pretty soon, so then this won't be an issue.

xclnt!

[14] Sweet!

[12] Hey ... a ruse to dupe more people into playing! I never thought of that!
How insidious.

You can now go in and upload your photos for the picathon! It's in your profile page. Start uploading boys and girls!!!

[18] THANKS!!!

Edit: Can't seem to find where you're referring to.. :(

Edit2: Found it! You have to goto "Edit your settings" and it's in there.

[19] It's actually on your Account page. (Press the Account link at the very top of any Tanga page.) Along the right side of that Account page, the last link under the "Games and Fun" heading is "Upload Images for Picathon".

[20] Thanks.
