I guess I don't really understand how it makes signing on any easier... If I entered my yahoo OpenID address on my account will I be able to sign in with my yahoo screenname as well as my email or what?
[1] If you associate your openid with your Tanga account, you only need to type in your OpenID (if you are already logged in to Yahoo) and you will be logged in with Tanga. No need to have a separate password/username just for Tanga.
Or, alternatively, if you already have an OpenID, but not a Tanga account, all you'd have to do is type in your OpenID and you would have a Tanga account, no usernames or full names or email address or password required.
now OpenID .. is this the thing with the inkblots
to remember your long password? or is that a piece
that it not yet in use
[3] Inkblots aren't a part of OpenID.
You create an identity on a different site. i.e. Yahoo. then your OpenID is something like https://me.yahoo.com/swimmar (but you can just type in yahoo.com and it will work as well).
Then you can sign in to Tanga just by typing in "yahoo.com" or "https://me.yahoo.com/swimmar", and if you're signed in to Yahoo, you don't need to type in a password. And if you don't already have a Tanga account, all you need to do to create a Tanga account is type in your OpenID and you'd have an account -- you don't need to type in a password or name or username or email address.
I think it's been like 9 months since I had to log into Tanga... so this doesn't seem very important
But thanks for your hard work.

Something I’ve been wanting to add to Tanga for a while is OpenID support. If you are new to OpenID, read about it here. Or here.
You can get an OpenID account from myopenid.com. If you have a Yahoo or AOL IM account, you already have an OpenID that you can use with Tanga.
If you have a Tanga account and an OpenID already, click on “Account”, then click on “Change Personal Information”. You can then type in your OpenID and you’ll be able to login to Tanga using it. Alternatively, if you don’t have a Tanga account but you do have an OpenID, click here to sign up using your OpenID.
I wish more websites used OpenID, and I’m glad to have Tanga throw its lot in with OpenID.
