More Cool Changes at Tanga - Check This Out STUs!
Hello Tanganites!
We have even more cool changes we’ve just implemented at Tanga. Moving forward, when we have products for sale, different types of users may see different pricing. For example, if you are a STU (Super Tanga User) you may see discounted pricing from the rest of the users. We’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time, to give our most dedicated users the best deals, and now we’ve done it. This is our way of saying thank you for helping Tanga and being a part of our cool community!
If you sign up for email or txt notifications, you will be notified of the pricing you will receive when you visit the site. So please sign up if you haven’t done so.
Some of you may be saying to yourselves “This isn’t fair!” To those I say, become an STU! You will need 5000 Tanga Points and you can get those by solving puzzles, buying products, playing the bottom feeder, submitting Random Questions and more.
Will there be special pricing for every product? No. It really depends on the product and our margin in that product. Will the discounts be huge? Probably not, but every once in a while if we get a good margined product, we might throw in some surprises for you!
Please note that only products that are currently for sale will receive “user discounts.” Second Chance products will all be sold at the same price regardless of your user status.

.....hmmm well sucks for the non-super-tanga users but what can i say...oh well my own fault for not solving more puzzles. Guess i better get on it a little over 4,000 puzzles left to go or another 30 purchases whichever come firt hahaha...can we start getting points for purchases hahaha j/k
I check tanga religiously (usually 2x a day even though i'm not sure why) is there going to be any special pricing by being on the e-mail list?

Will there be an special option under notifications just for the special deals in case we don't want to sign up for all notifications? I usually check the site most days and I'd rather not get a bunch of e-mails to sort through for the special ones.

We are having problems with our pagination system that should be fixed soon so you can see old puzzles, old discussions, etc.
[7] Hey, I'm pretty sure the "Surprise Me" link under PLAY in the side bar still works. That'll take you to a random old puzzle you haven't solved yet.
Yeah, it's random, so you won't be able to chose a specific puzzle type or author, and you might not be able to get back to it if you click away from that page before you solve it... but it IS a way to solve old puzzles while the Tanga Monkeys work on fixing the multipage thing.

Thanks Tanga! I knew spending countless hours at work plugging away at old puzzles on Tanga to get my STU badge would eventually be beneficial to me!

Hey so i was thinking the other day how about having multiple levels of tanga users?
Peon tanga user-1000(earn avatar status?)
Avid Tanga user-2500 points (maybe give us 4 guesses at the prize of the day instead of three?
Super tanga user--5000
Exceptional tanga user-10,000(?)
Life timer tanga user-25,000(maybe 1 dollar off a any purchase once per month?)
Honestly i don't know what you could do for the different levels or even the names are not anything exceptional but if your trying to increase activity you give stepping stones to reach the 5k (short term goals) and for those that have surpassed the 5k mark then you give even more incentive to keep going.

Hi Thief - back in the day we used to do that with fruit level icons. It's one of the things I miss about Tanga and want to bring it back as soon as we find some programming resources to make it happen. Do you all miss the fruit?
Question...does it show the normal price as well, so STU's see both? Or say something like "STU price?" Just curious, as don't think I've seen it yet.
The fruit was going away just as I joined the community....but I've always wanted some fruit of my very own... Please bring it back!

When I looked at the deals of the day today the magazine was for "Taste of Home" @ $17.99. When I logged in the price dropped to $3.50.

[19] Yes, bring back the fruit! I need more levels to inspire me to solve puzzles and earn more points! Once I hit STU level, my motivation to solve puzzles really dropped off.
That's really cool to hear. Yea i think alot of people would love to have something like fruit. I can't wait to see it come back.
[20] I was also wondering how we can tell if we're seeing a special price. It seems that nearly every item for the last two months was selling for x.49 or x.99, but all of a sudden lots of prices are ending in .50 or .75. Would this suggest that it's a STU deal?

And I'd like to KEEP the fruit I've earned! I want a collection of Fruit Badges, golden and otherwise! I don't want to trade it in! I earned it! I earned them all!
Yes, strange as it may seem, I, too, would like to have a fruit collection. I think it would be neat to have other badges as well like 10/25/50/100 top-10 solves, 50/100/200 top-100 solves, 10 published puzzles, 50 products purchased, whatever. Badges are cool.
Fruit? I want fruit.
