The animeeples and foodeeples (?) are awesome. They totally make the game. Though... my partner prefers the cubes and discs. bleh.
I insist on the meeples.
[4] I've seen most people use "vegimeeples" but honestly I think both "animeeples" and "vegimeeples" are a bit ridiculous, especially considering the etymology of "meeple."
You wouldn't necessarily think of it at first, but those extra (*)meeples make the game much more accesible to new players. The price tonight is $10 lower than when this was offered last year and it was a good deal then. I've played my copy at least 30 times since then.
[11] Yes the Goodies is also $60 and does include some boards and extra decks. Then again this bundle set with 281 tokens is less than the original game MSRP and includes the following NOT in the Goodies:
25 Meeple set (instead of stickers for discs on the Goodies)
Extra Wooden tokens for Stone, Bread, Fish, and Meat
Gold tokens (20 not 12 as is listed on Tanga)
The gold, stone and food tokens allow these tokens to be used for more than just Agricola too. Other games these are good for include Kingsburg, Stone Age, Settlers of Catan, Le Havre and others.
I now have a copy of a farming game on its way to my house... I'll have to hide it from my group who like things like Descent and Last Night On Earth....
but it was such a good deal...
Am I the only who just plays with the normal cubes you get with the game?
No, I'm sure clearclaw does too...
To use custom pieces would disrupt his analytical rigor (makes more sense if you have read the thread on BGG on "Wood or Plastic") ; - )
Not a bad deal if you want all the stuff.
I just want animeeples and the seasonal boards, though.
:(

My 'Ultimate Set' would also include both expansions.

I'd like to get just the sets of meeples for a good price.... Already have the game.
I'd like to see Tanga offer the base game and the Goodies Expansion at a good price, then I'd go for it.
I tried to get my wife to say no since I have some other stuff on order... but this was too good for even her to pass up! Thanks Tanga!!!

[11] The Goodies Expansion has a lot more then just meeples added to it.

Oh god, what have I done!?

Thank God this sold out. It has been tempting me all day.
Oh man....missed it
