A great game, is what it is. I picked it up at an anime convention (paid $40 for it there! crap!) a few months ago. Lots of great bits inside too. The instructions are a little verbose and confusing, but you can catch on fairly quickly after playing for a bit.
Definitely a must have if you're an anime and tabletop gaming fan. The description says "knowledge of anime is not necessary to play," but we've played this with a few non-anime friends who didn't particularly care for it; all of our anime friends have though.
[2] on the other hand it is still listed as a pre order at some on-line sites. This is obviously a fresh game. Also note that there is a fair range of votes five and above, sure they are probably anime fans, but i would say that the point here is that this is a no brainer for anime fans, and worth considering for those that dabble in the theme.
Having said that (thanks LD), with as good as Battlestar Galactica is, I wouldn't expect someone who hates sci-fi and has never seen the show to be even remotely interested....
A friend of mine brought this back from a convention he went to some time about 6 or 8 months ago. He always agrees to play my euros, so I agreed to try this with him and a few other friends.
It was aweful. Really aweful. Unless you love anime to the point where theme is the only thing that matters to you in the game, avoid this at all costs.
"Is wolverine in this game...or a charecter like him>? That is the only reason why I would buy this game.
To people that have played Would it work with out a Wolverine? In X2 we saw him get shot with tranquilizers and shake the effects off, obviously because of his power to heal. So my question is would the cure in this game against the super heroes be rejected by his body or cancel out his powers before they could do anything? I see a house rule needed. Thank you. I know more Marvel back history then you"
"Does anyone now what the card art is like?
My wife was offended (and so was I to a lesser extend) to some of the Blue Moon card art. We are a conservative house hold with family values and I expect my kids to play this game if the card art is acceptable"
I would like to purchase this game but the anime theme in not aceptible to me and letting my kids play as well. We do not accept anime in our house. I will pass thank you
[15] Oh heavens, yes. Remember: Henious themes can be overlooked. If they can not be overlooked, like when they are staring you in the face, then they are ofensive.
But anime (tentacles or not) is offensive on so many levels. Whether it’s underage school girl panties, sex changes, rape, or those stupid oversized eyes, or just nauseating little critters and obnoxiously hammed up dialogue, absurd weapons (usually of an over-compensating size), or even the androgynous men/villains with a ridiculously exaggerated gravitas (enough so that even Kenny G would pimp slap them for being douchebags), and whatever else!: Anime is beyond heinous - to an unoverlookable degree.
Preference: Both? What kind of game is this LOL!
Take the geek ratings with a large grain of salt. It has been rated by only a few people so the rating is artificially inflated by the shill tens.

The theme alone makes me want to hit myself in the head with a hammer ... so that I can avoid this game with a trip to the ER
[1] She's a character from Project A-ko. (Well, the title character, obviously.) The weakness is pretty accurate to the character.
I'm tempted to get it; not too bad a price.

[4] I'm with you. But where is SirBingo when we really need him?
[7] No kidding!

[9] Finally, the voice of reason I am willing to believe.

No, no, no, even better:

[11]/[12], Nice! Would have also accepted:
"Ofensive art...I will pass My family can overlook Henious themes but not when the artwork is staring you in the face."
[13] Beautiful!
I would like to purchase this game but the anime theme in not aceptible to me and letting my kids play as well. We do not accept anime in our house. I will pass thank you
[14] I guess that means anime is worse than Henious.

True story. one of my wife's friends in Japan was robbed. They broke in and stole her underwear. That was all they stole.

NIce that they included the 2 Bonus cards Gozer and Bumble
