    I have a similar model. Keep in mind that a small unit like this is great for emergency mends, but don't try and do any real sewing with this. I use mine for hemming pants and that's it. And certainly don't expect to be able to go through demin or any other heavy material with such a little motor.

    I use one of these to suture up wounds I receive during my nightly outings. It is very economical, and the unit easily has the power through most of the skin on my body.

    Bought one for my 10 year old daughter so that I can just teach her the basics without letting her use my "fancy" machine.
