We played Cave Troll over Thanksgiving and everyone had a great time. This is a great deal for anyone who missed out on FFG's $5.00 / ea insanity last week.
My wife and I love playing a few short games of Drakon between our little guy's naps. It's easy to remember the rules and, despite being a tad stinky (literally the game has kind of a stench to it), the artwork and theme are excellent.
On Drakon, I hated the little things that stick out of the sides of each of the tiles. They were hard to punch out too. I eventually sanded them off with some fine sandpaper. Only took about 20 minutes to do and now the tiles fit together much better.
I also got Cave Troll on the FFG sale, but haven't had a chance to pull it out quite yet. If it's as good, or better, than Drakon, this is an excellent deal...
I too bought Drakon and Cave Troll from FF's $10 sale. Drakon is kind of a crap game, but easy and quick enough to be totally worth it. Cave Troll I haven't tried yet, but it looks to be a pretty similar game.
Both games are nicely made, good looking, great figures, good values. The dungeon setting is really the only other thing they have in common. They don't play alike at all.
Cave troll reminds me more of Small World than Drakon. It's more area control game than dungeon crawl.
Drakon is a pretty nice take that type of game. You're laying dungeon tiles some with advantages, treasure, teleporters, etc. and some with ugly surprises. Of course you want to place good tiles near your hero, and move your hero accordingly, while dumping the ugliness full on your neighbors head. The two games really don't play similar at all.
Both are beautifully produced, and were well worth their retail price. At these prices they're a steal.

Just ordered these through Fantasy Flight. About the same price with shipping and all included. If you have some Tanga cash left- even better.
[1] These two games were actually $10 ea., at least when I ordered them.

Shoot, I missed FFG $5 insanity :(
I have edition one of cave troll. Is this the second?
Yea I already had both of them or the FFG deal would have been a done deal. I did take advantage of some of there other deals at FFG now over
How'd you find the BGG links? "The site is down for maintenance"
I used Bing, [7]. Saying 'I Binged It' makes it sound like I went on a binge.
[5] Yes, this is 2nd edition Cave Troll, with the cards and plastic minis.
I'm love my 1st edition set, but this is tempting.

The stats are wrong on Tanga. Drakon is 2-6 player. Cave Troll is 2-4 player...
Thankfully I don't care for either of these games.
So ... where's the "Game Channel"?
A couple of great dungeon crawl games.
I just got Drakon through Fantasy Flight's Black Friday sale.
Be careful when you punch out the game tiles. Some people have reported tearing them by accident. Either use the bend tecnique or use a utility knife.
There is a thread about this in the Drakon Forums on BGG

So I'd say this is still a hell of a deal.

[15] Ah-ha...
I didn't realize that "easy" and "quick enough" make a crap game totally worth it... lol
I bought them both from FF, or I would have bought them here.
