[1] some cable companies charge you to "rent" a cable modem...this would help eliminate that. Other than for that reason I can't see why you would want to combine your router and modem...
This is a GREAT price for this router! if it's something you want, definitely grab it here on the cheap.
BUT, I highly recommend reading some online reviews for this product. I've found the customer reviews over at newegg.com to give you a really good idea what to expect from a piece of computer equipment.
I have one of these and it works great as a modem and less great as a wireless. I have Cox and it drops me all the time when I have lots of traffic - say I'm heavily using google maps.
If you don't care about the wireless, its a solid cable modem when plugged into the ethernet ports.
ok...who doesnt already have a cable modem or router?
At least I do.
Good deal though.

If you're renting a modem from the cable company this is a good excuse to stop.
Yep, I got one too. Good router, it hasn't let me down yet.
[2] fewer power cords and lower power consumption
One antenna? Unless you live in a single story home you'll want two antennae.
[6] many routers that appear to have one antenna actually have two. It may have a second antenna inside the case.

It seems this router has a tendancy to drop connections somewhat frequently, and has issues dealing with the Comcast cable internet signal.

Looks like this one is UNsupported by dd-wrt
