I hated Godstorm. They've created a heavier-feeling game by simply adding event cards. Also, there is the ability to have your troops come back from the dead by fighting their way through the underworld, but everyone playing agreed that there was enough fighting going on on the actual board and no one really gave a crap about the underworld.
I actually liked both. If I hadn't just bought 2210, this would be the deal for me. Neglect the underworld in Godstorm and you're leaving behind free recruits. I enjoy it and would play again.
Godstorm isn't bad, but their price is ridiculous. If you buy it at this price you have definitely spent more money than necessary. Go to Google and search on Risk Godstorm, or just go to Amazon ($36.97 with FS right now).
Tanga - no offense - but you guys are the worst daily deal site around most days. Your prices and shipping kill most any deal you throw out to us. Thank goodness we have Slickdeals.net to use instead.
[7] So you can come up with Godstorm for $37, but can you show me where to pick up 2210 in addition to that shipped for $19? You did realize this deal was for both games, right?
i'd have to agree that on occasion some items are a bit more higher-priced than on some other sites, but i've found that to be few and far between.
this is actually a great price. not crazy about the shipping, but when you buy both games separately, you're looking to spend about $74 anyway (and that's before any possible shipping costs, etc...).
ordered mine through here and can't wait for it to arrive.
If you hate Risk, then you won't like either of these games. Keep reading if you like Risk and/or its variants...
Risk 2210 is the best version out there. Super-powered commanders, giving you access to different decks of game-affecting cards, an improved map, good theme, a monetary system including the auctioning of turn order, and an imposed time limit of five rounds ("years"). Very enjoyable.
Risk Godstorm falls somewhere in between the original and 2210. The separate playing board for the moon has become the Underworld. The space stations in 2210 have become Temples, and your Commanders have become Gods. The flow of currency has been constricted in Godstorm, and when combined with more powerful (and costly) cards, feels too cash-strapped. The game can fluctuate more wildly, while at the same time makes it harder to recover from setbacks.
Godstorm is better than the original which has grown stale, but it isn't as good as 2210.
Actually, I did NOT see both games. that makes it a substantially better deal, but I still feel that Tanga as a whole is overpriced and rarely offers very good deals on games.
I just got 2210 for $40 at a local game store for a friend that has neither of these, so an additional $15 for both would have made a smoking deal. He would have been super stumped to find these at his doorway in a few weeks.
As I said, i stand by my rant on Tanga prices, but am sorry I managed to rant away the potential greatness of this deal.
Monopoly yesterday, Risk today. If Tange keeps this up, it will be a hell of a year.
Prediction: Family Guy Life tomorrow.

YES!
One for gift...one to replace. Very happy.
Risk 2210 is actually a pretty good game. Not sure about Godstorm though.

Great price for 2 games...actually only buying Godstorm...giving 2210 to a friend who lost part of the game in a messy divorce.
What kind of woman only takes PART of a game?
[11] LOL
What did she do take all the pieces of one color from each of his games as part of the settlement?
That's pure evil.
[11] Probably a woman worth divorcing....
