I'm a little confused on the point of certain aspects of the puzzle after solving it.
Anyone care to throw out some salt or is it still too early for that?
Some salt on BGG
Cool, one of the few I've gotten completely saly free :) Neat puzzle.
Took me awhile to figure out the letters on the side, but after that it was easy.
I was going to drop some salt but it seems everyone is getting it easily enough. There is a good clue over on BGG to help any of you still stuck.
I don't know why Aaron didn't change the wording from the workerbee marathon, but you should all know that this puzzle is the first of four puzzles [created by myself and two other co-workers at the New York State Museum] that will be offered over the holiday weekend (ending Monday night). The answers for the first three are needed to answer the forth so you should remember or write down the answers each night so you don't have to look them up again on Monday.
I hope you enjoy them.
So...[14] you came up with something using the letters on the side??? I've solved the puzzle, but they had nothing to do with the answer...as far as I can tell.
[16] check BGG that'll tell you the significance of the letters on the side.
I got the answer, figured it out salt free. I figured the letters on the side out after I solved the puzzle, though I was on the right track just slightly wrong. . . direction.
As for the answer. What? I don't understand its signifigance to the puzzle really.
[18] the significance is that it is an alternate spelling of a rather famous name related to the theme of the puzzle.
Salt free - woo hoo! [18]I was wondering the same. [19] I'll havta look that up.

Fell asleep right after opening this last night (NOT a comment on the puzzle, a physical reaction to pulling an all-nighter - and then working a full day after only four hours sleep). Worked today, flew back from Boston, drove home and finished it. Also proving the time starts when you first look at the puzzle when logged in... Started on one computer, finished on another...
great puzzle. Had to wiki it. But got it salt free.
