    I'll take the doughnut, please.

Unless it's plain. If all you have are plain doughnuts, I guess I'll take my chances with the pie.

I doubt I can eat 8 pieces, though.
    ;-)

    Got it on a guess.

  3. FileTomatoMurdoctor on Jun 03, 2008 06:15 AM

[2] You GUESSED that answer word? I just don't see how.

  4. FileXylophoneCinMel on Jun 03, 2008 06:19 AM

[3] so did I with a little help...

  5. FilePepperdajagr on Jun 03, 2008 06:54 AM

[3] I might have guessed the word without the last two letters on a desperation guess, but I did things the more legitimate way.

Any salt? I don't even know where to start guessing! :-)
This puzzle just makes me hungry.

edit: DUH! I'd already guessed the word w/o the last 2 letters [wrong] and applied that one thing to a different set of other things [gibberish], but somehow never made the connection to combine them. Perhaps I should have eaten breakfast. :-)
    (Thanks, CinMel!)

[6] That comes so close to making sense to me. Now, if I could only take the next step! (Guess that's what I get for eating cereal instead)

  8. Avatar_profileWatermelonringod30 on Jun 03, 2008 08:37 AM

Any help? Rilled isnt even a word.

  9. FilePancakesepaz on Jun 03, 2008 11:36 AM

[7],[8] Would it help if this had been published, say, two weeks into March?

(Also, please ignore the 'guessing' and 'combining' parts in my earlier post. They're just confusing--and not quite accurate.)

  10. PumpkinEggCrazyKids on Jun 03, 2008 11:45 AM

[9] No. But I'm way tired, so it does probably help others! I'm guessing I have to anagram "oat rilled", but I'm not coming up with anything useful.

  11. FileTomatoMurdoctor on Jun 03, 2008 12:02 PM

[10] Not quite. According to the puzzle, what in particular is "oat rilled"?

  12. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Jun 03, 2008 12:05 PM

[9] No it wouldnt help. Im lost as well.

  13. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Jun 03, 2008 12:08 PM

[8] Rilled is probably some southern or across the pond slang.

  14. FilePancakesepaz on Jun 03, 2008 12:13 PM

[10],[12] Well... that date is often celebrated with Pie (but not doughnuts). I don't know, maybe I'm being irrational...

  15. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Jun 03, 2008 12:16 PM

People eat pie on St Patricks day? Austrailian Labor day? Daylight Savings time?

  16. FilePancakesepaz on Jun 03, 2008 12:32 PM

    Not everybody; just nerds.

  17. Avatar_profileGrapesnwoll on Jun 03, 2008 12:58 PM

[14] yeah i made that connection right away, but i'm not getting anywhere with it. I don't know how to use it.

  18. PumpkinEggCrazyKids on Jun 03, 2008 01:30 PM

I took a nap and feel much more human, but still don't see what to do with my snack choices. [11] I saw the nature of the dessert right away, but I can't seem to make the connection. (Besides, who would choose a doughnut over pie anyway?)

Edit: All better now. Now I shall go make a pie. I say....Blueberry!

  19. FileDuckiePatanga on Jun 20, 2011 09:14 AM

seriously?.....I got the pie thing.....but figured I would use that info to anagram. The solve method was way out there.
