Well, GRRRRR pretty much sums up how I feel about Tanga right now...
Yeah, that about says it all!
ä½ï¼
æ¥æ¬èªï¼
[4] That makes as much sense as the solution to this puzzle!
Notice the second is
not plural...that's all I have so far, and that song stuck in my head!
EDIT - And all I had to do was take it out of my head. THANKS to Jewelia for the push over the cliff on this one
[5] - Did you guess?
ã¯ãããããã
First with a wild *ss, yet valid, guess.
Would it help if I had ever watched the show?
A guess saves a lot of work again tonight....
[10] Possibly
What should I guess? ;)
[11] Not my guesses, which have included playhouse, pervert, reubens, etc.
or peewee, chairry, yvonne, etc. ...
help would be good, very good
just a little salt? please?
bike, bicycle, mystery, men, I, pal, reubens, herman, playhouse, tequila....
Mmmm, tequila.... Anyone got salt?
Did anyone actually figure out the solving method without guessing the answer?
not basement, alamo, loner, or rebel
Where are the dots that one would connect?
And [6] points out that it is dots and then dot..., but I actually read those the same.
I concentrated on what he was saying
solved by guessing.... I never would have gotten it the correct way.
it's not 'secret'....he always had a secret word...
This takes me back....I had an architectural studio in college -had to design a house in Puppetland...
my guesses are duds as well..
not large, marge, big, groundling, groundlings
Finally guessed it! The best clue is the two-letter "word" that appears four times in the puzzle. And Scoutmom [5] had the most appropriate comment!
Dang. I actually had the solve method, but I didn't know how to conclude it. Chalk it up to another guess.
[27] Please share.
Who would have guessed that would have been salty?
Who the hell put this through?
Total guess based on the word repeated four times thing.
Wow. Never, NEVER saw that coming as a solution path.
Was on the same track as [27] (and [29], it turns out), but finally just guessed, thanks to [26]!
[29] Yes, and then some!
Any more salt on how to guess. The four la's are doing nothing for me.
[34] Use the la la's the way he is....then guess.
Wow, this was a BAD puzzle. Who approved it?
[35] Thanks.
This is the worst puzzle I've ever seen here. I want a refund :p
EDIT: I don't fault the puzzle creator for going overboard, but I'm starting to lose faith in the approval process.
[37] Worst puzzle ever? Hmmm, that sounds VERY familiar!
I was on my way to the solve method when things quit making sense. I feel dumber for guessing the answer correctly. I should have just "tapped out".
[38] Umm... this one's worse than the last one that was "worst"!
Long live hyperbole!
I'll refrain from joining the chorus who are belting out the blues over this puzzle, although I'm tempted to lift my voice.
[41] Your avatar is very appropriate for your salt....
[35] Thank you, that finally got me to the guess that I needed, not sure how many words I guessed before that one, scary.
[41] That's the kick in the head I needed! Never would have figured out that solve method in a million years.
You would need to be Hercule Poirot or Inspector Morse to get the solution the 'proper' way. Guessing is a much easier way to get in tune with the puzzle's solution.
Many thanks to [41] for more or less telling us the answer outright. This is *terrible*. Unlike [37], I haven't lost faith in the editorial process: I've lost all faith that there *is* an editorial process.
Wow... I guessed too...
Ugh.
That is actually a very in depth and complicated puzzle, and if there was only more of a hint at to the solve method, it's actually pretty neat. BUT discovering the (correct) solve method is apparently almost impossible. And [46], I was there about a year ago...so now I just glance at puzzles to see if they're worth the time and don't solve regularly like I used too...
My apologies to all. I lost access to tanga for roughly 2 weeks (maybe longer). Upon my return, I see that I've been often published. (Not that I should complain. However, this puzzle probably wasn't ready for genaral consumption. There's a lot of work to be done, and very little guidance along the way. I'm not sure how I would have reworked it, but it was probably in need of rework.) Glad some of you got it.
Even reading the author's answer doesn't make any sense.
I used the repeated (4 times) 2 letter word....and he wasn't humming!
