Well, GRRRRR pretty much sums up how I feel about Tanga right now...

  2. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sat May 31, 2008 07:14 PM

Yeah, that about says it all!

  3. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Sat May 31, 2008 07:15 PM

    何?

  4. FileEggRPardoe on Sat May 31, 2008 07:16 PM

    日本語?

  5. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sat May 31, 2008 07:20 PM

[4] That makes as much sense as the solution to this puzzle!

  6. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Sat May 31, 2008 08:15 PM

    Notice the second is
not plural...that's all I have so far, and that song stuck in my head!

EDIT - And all I had to do was take it out of my head. THANKS to Jewelia for the push over the cliff on this one

  7. FilePepperVerve640 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:26 PM

    [5] - Did you guess?

  8. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Sat May 31, 2008 07:26 PM

    はい、きょう。

  9. FileEggmayhew96 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:28 PM

First with a wild *ss, yet valid, guess.

  10. FileEggmnemonica on Sat May 31, 2008 07:28 PM

Would it help if I had ever watched the show?

  11. FileEggRPardoe on Sat May 31, 2008 07:29 PM

A guess saves a lot of work again tonight....

  12. FileEggmayhew96 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:29 PM

    [10] Possibly

  13. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Sat May 31, 2008 07:31 PM

    What should I guess? ;)

  14. FileClockJewelia on Sat May 31, 2008 07:31 PM

[11] Not my guesses, which have included playhouse, pervert, reubens, etc.

  15. FilePancakesepaz on Sat May 31, 2008 07:33 PM

or peewee, chairry, yvonne, etc. ...

  16. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sat May 31, 2008 07:32 PM

help would be good, very good

  17. FilePancakesepaz on Sat May 31, 2008 07:34 PM

    just a little salt? please?

  18. FileTomatobcgrote on Sat May 31, 2008 07:36 PM

bike, bicycle, mystery, men, I, pal, reubens, herman, playhouse, tequila....

    Mmmm, tequila.... Anyone got salt?

  19. FilePepperVerve640 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:37 PM

Did anyone actually figure out the solving method without guessing the answer?

  20. FilePancakesepaz on Sat May 31, 2008 07:38 PM

not basement, alamo, loner, or rebel

  21. FileEggRPardoe on Sat May 31, 2008 07:38 PM

Where are the dots that one would connect?

And [6] points out that it is dots and then dot..., but I actually read those the same.

  22. FileEggmayhew96 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:38 PM

I concentrated on what he was saying

  23. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Sat May 31, 2008 07:39 PM

solved by guessing.... I never would have gotten it the correct way.

  24. Ronald-mcd-3EggKilgore on Sat May 31, 2008 07:39 PM

it's not 'secret'....he always had a secret word...

This takes me back....I had an architectural studio in college -had to design a house in Puppetland...

my guesses are duds as well..

  25. FileTomatobcgrote on Sat May 31, 2008 07:39 PM

not large, marge, big, groundling, groundlings

  26. FileClockJewelia on Sat May 31, 2008 07:47 PM

Finally guessed it! The best clue is the two-letter "word" that appears four times in the puzzle. And Scoutmom [5] had the most appropriate comment!

  27. FilePumpkinperihelion on Sat May 31, 2008 07:47 PM

Dang. I actually had the solve method, but I didn't know how to conclude it. Chalk it up to another guess.

  28. FilePepperslog on Sat May 31, 2008 07:49 PM

    [27] Please share.

  29. Avatar_profileOnionrvitale68 on Sat May 31, 2008 08:04 PM

Who would have guessed that would have been salty?

  30. FileGarlicHope2002 on Sat May 31, 2008 07:53 PM

Who the hell put this through?
Total guess based on the word repeated four times thing.

  31. FileGarlicBlueDevilDucky on Sat May 31, 2008 07:53 PM

Wow. Never, NEVER saw that coming as a solution path.

  32. FilePancakesepaz on Sat May 31, 2008 07:53 PM

Was on the same track as [27] (and [29], it turns out), but finally just guessed, thanks to [26]!

  33. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sat May 31, 2008 07:55 PM

    [29] Yes, and then some!

  34. BearSailboatkarp on Sat May 31, 2008 08:00 PM

Any more salt on how to guess. The four la's are doing nothing for me.

  35. Soccer_ballCheeseburgersoccer_ref on Sat May 31, 2008 07:58 PM

[34] Use the la la's the way he is....then guess.

  36. Phi3CornPhilana on Sat May 31, 2008 08:02 PM

Wow, this was a BAD puzzle. Who approved it?

  37. FilePepperslog on Sat May 31, 2008 08:06 PM

    [35] Thanks.

This is the worst puzzle I've ever seen here. I want a refund :p

EDIT: I don't fault the puzzle creator for going overboard, but I'm starting to lose faith in the approval process.

  38. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Sat May 31, 2008 08:05 PM

[37] Worst puzzle ever? Hmmm, that sounds VERY familiar!

  39. Avatar_profileOnionrvitale68 on Sat May 31, 2008 08:05 PM

I was on my way to the solve method when things quit making sense. I feel dumber for guessing the answer correctly. I should have just "tapped out".

  40. FilePepperslog on Sat May 31, 2008 08:09 PM

[38] Umm... this one's worse than the last one that was "worst"!

    Long live hyperbole!

  41. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Sat May 31, 2008 08:11 PM

I'll refrain from joining the chorus who are belting out the blues over this puzzle, although I'm tempted to lift my voice.

  42. FileEggRPardoe on Sat May 31, 2008 08:29 PM

[41] Your avatar is very appropriate for your salt....

  43. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Sat May 31, 2008 08:36 PM

[35] Thank you, that finally got me to the guess that I needed, not sure how many words I guessed before that one, scary.

  44. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Sat May 31, 2008 08:45 PM

[41] That's the kick in the head I needed! Never would have figured out that solve method in a million years.

  45. Avatar_profileKiwilimeysponges on Sat May 31, 2008 09:14 PM

You would need to be Hercule Poirot or Inspector Morse to get the solution the 'proper' way. Guessing is a much easier way to get in tune with the puzzle's solution.

  46. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Sun Jun 01, 2008 12:56 AM

Many thanks to [41] for more or less telling us the answer outright. This is *terrible*. Unlike [37], I haven't lost faith in the editorial process: I've lost all faith that there *is* an editorial process.

  47. Avatar_profileWatermelontasadek on Sun Jun 01, 2008 06:18 AM

    Wow... I guessed too...

  48. FileEggMurdoctor on Sun Jun 01, 2008 07:55 AM

    Ugh.

  49. Avatar_profileEggplantninjoo on Sun Jun 01, 2008 08:41 AM

That is actually a very in depth and complicated puzzle, and if there was only more of a hint at to the solve method, it's actually pretty neat. BUT discovering the (correct) solve method is apparently almost impossible. And [46], I was there about a year ago...so now I just glance at puzzles to see if they're worth the time and don't solve regularly like I used too...

My apologies to all. I lost access to tanga for roughly 2 weeks (maybe longer). Upon my return, I see that I've been often published. (Not that I should complain. However, this puzzle probably wasn't ready for genaral consumption. There's a lot of work to be done, and very little guidance along the way. I'm not sure how I would have reworked it, but it was probably in need of rework.) Glad some of you got it.

  51. FractalEggdduensing on Mon Oct 12, 2009 01:29 PM

Even reading the author's answer doesn't make any sense.

    I used the repeated (4 times) 2 letter word....and he wasn't humming!
