1st!! Finally, my years of brutal word search training with the amazonian natives has paid off!!
# It took you 4 minutes and 48 seconds to solve this puzzle.
# You were the 1st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
OK, who left the EASY BUTTON laying around?
A lot easier if you actually notice the words at the bottom :)
all easy tonight.
[3] Haha, Yes. I originally made this puzzle without the word list at the bottom but thought we could use a few easier puzzles after Murdoctor's time sink number puzzle.
thank you for that apparatus!
Ha, I didn't notice the words at the bottom (due to slow loading on dial up, sadly using that still here at work) until after I had already guessed the answer. In fact, my first thought upon seeing the puzzle was in fact the answer I just didn't put it in. Should have, my time would have been in the seconds.
What exactly does the answer have to do with the crossword and clues?

[8]/[9] Well... with the question at the top, the answer is one and the clues are the other.
woulda been done sooner, got wrapped up in Red Dawn...
I was actually a little disappointed that the leaves didn't end up figuring in anywhere.
hey a puzzle i could actually solve
seemed a little wimpy to me
Wow. Actually easy. Hooray!
But wow...that must've taken quite a while to get everything to fit together.

There are programs that will make word-searches for you. All that would remain is replacing anything you didn't want in the grid.
Nice puzzle. It was fun to do. And a fun puzzle is always better than a hard puzzle.
[14], [15] Yes, I used a word search builder to create the puzzle. It took a good deal of tweaking with tree choices to get this tight of a word grid though.
[12] I was trying to find a way to use them as a step but couldn't find anything that didn't muddle the puzzle.
[16] Thanks, FachanLahd. While I love the more in depth puzzles at times, there are just some times I think we need a good clean use of our brain that doesn't require too much salt.
I agree with you [16] - this one was fun to solve.
Would've been nice if the wordsearch had revealed another question to answer, but still fun. Thanks
Nice, clean puzzle.
For those of us who have submitted puzzles, how do you know if they'll be used or not? Thanks
pretty puzzle :)
I'm glad to see folks enjoyed it.
[20] They don't seem to notify the owners of the puzzle they are going to use until roughly 6-7 hours before it is published. Then you should receive an email.
[21] Thanks. The background picture more or less inspired the puzzle.
Darn half-megabyte PNG files... grumble
