I looked at this then went away and came back to it. Should have stayed and paid attention. I had the wrong idea at first but the right idea makes it easy. Helps if you are a college football fan.

check your first logo more carefully, and then edit your [6] to desalinate a little bit...

General hint, especially for those of us who aren't into college athletics... make sure you're looking at the right schools (especially the first and last ones). There can be more than one college that will turn up in each Google search.
Actually, USC doesn't have any letters on its helmets...
