Nice one. Self-contained puzzle. The title is indeed key.
I'm coming to hate that phrase 'self-contained'!
[2] I'm with you.
Shall I edit that out then. I just meant that one can take a print out of the puzzle and be able to solve it, no additional look-ups or research necessary. No obscure terms involved.
Additional salt....like a traditional word search, everything is done in straight lines here.
[4] No. That was just a personal observation. :)
I do have a copy of the puzzle in front of me with many, many lines and erasures. Just not going in the right direction yet.
[5] You need to go in four directions.
[6] I noted that the corners hinted at that.
I see lots of directional abbreviations, but no actual directional WORDS that go in straight lines. Am I completely off track here?
I found directional words, but they aren't in straight lines.
Edit: Amazing how wrong I can be!
[8] I was able to the clues in a straight line that started with the first letter of the direction and ended with the last letter of the direction.
[8] That's the real trick to this puzzle. The words are in there... but not exactly how you might expect.
Very nice!
I only get TWO directonal words: four instances of one, and two instances of another. Not getting it.
[13] Sounds like you are navigating it wrong, and need a course correction. This puzzle only encompasses one of each directional word.
OUCH OUCH OUCH! Brain hurt!
Had to get to the middle of his one to see where I was going, then took forever to see the direction the final took. Fun stand alone puzzle. Nice.
I made this altogether more difficult than it was.
