    First at 1:04. Yee-haw.

  2. Avatar_profilePearhld1970 on Jul 04, 2007 07:03 PM

Who is that lady? It looks like Sandra Dee.

  3. AssetsRaspberryA_Beaverhausen on Jul 04, 2007 07:12 PM

    I think it's Dinah Shore

  4. Avatar_profileBananabamfette on Jul 04, 2007 07:13 PM

heh... fourth on both... second time doing that

  5. AssetsEggmnemonica on Jul 04, 2007 07:13 PM

    Third.

I don't know who the lady is, but Sandra Dee would fit. I got three, saw a pattern and took a guess.

  6. AssetsAppleDan999 on Jul 04, 2007 07:14 PM

It took you 1 minute and 17 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 5th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.

    Sheer ingenuity!

  7. Avatar_profileCherriesKPorter on Jul 04, 2007 07:19 PM

I think I have 4 of them, I see "a" pattern, but it doesn't do anything for me.

    Salt?

  8. AssetsDuckiedavey3 on Jul 04, 2007 07:20 PM

6th in 1:55, but not sure about that book.

    Fun puzzle though.

  9. AssetsPearjulesfordale3 on Jul 04, 2007 07:37 PM

wow... 12th... never done that well... nice

  10. AssetsPearjulesfordale3 on Jul 04, 2007 07:40 PM

[7] writing them down might help

  11. Avatar_profileCherriesKPorter on Jul 04, 2007 07:46 PM

Thanks [10] but I'm just not getting it...

  12. Avatar_profilePearhld1970 on Jul 04, 2007 07:50 PM

Finally got it. I had a case of sheer stupidity.

  13. Avatar_profilePeachaconger on Jul 04, 2007 07:53 PM

Dinah worked for me. With the possessive.

[11] The shirts that they're written on are important. And repetitive.

  14. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Jul 04, 2007 08:01 PM

I see the theme but not sure how to get the answer from the theme.

  15. Avatar_profileCherriesKPorter on Jul 04, 2007 08:13 PM

[13] I got the whole shirts thing and the common ending, and I got all of them except the won with the lady.

I just cant seem to put it all together

    I FEEL SO STUPID!

    [15] KPorter
send me a geek mail (pbleadfoot) with what you have and I'll nudge you in the right direction...

  17. AssetsApplegilby123 on Jul 04, 2007 08:35 PM

Got the answer, but not sure how to make the first one fit the theme. I got the others and guessed.

  18. AssetsApplemrdehate on Jul 04, 2007 09:40 PM

Hmm. I think I have the words...but I just don't see anything there? Man I hope it's going to hit me in the shower tomorrow morning....

  19. AssetsApplegilby123 on Jul 04, 2007 09:43 PM

AH....with salt, got why the first one works.

  20. AssetsGarlicHope2002 on Jul 04, 2007 10:16 PM

The first one doesn't work like the others. It stretched it and made us guess.

  21. AssetsDuckiemikalye on Jul 04, 2007 11:45 PM

Thank you Hope2002, [20] gave me what I needed.

  22. Avatar_profileGrapesJasonLP on Jul 05, 2007 12:59 AM

Wow, got 4 of the 6 and figured out what to do. The book one I got by backsolving (although I should have figured it t.) Not sure about the mushroom one...

  23. Avatar_profileStrawberrysyracuselaxfan on Jul 05, 2007 02:13 AM

finally got it. The lady isn't in the kitchen, but they sang about her in Grease

  24. AssetsPotatofachanlahd on Jul 05, 2007 05:17 AM

So who is the woman? Sandra Dee? Doris Day? or Dinah Shore?

I got the answer so I don't think it was Dinah, but her last name makes a better word clue (though the wrong word needed to solve the puzzle).

I tried to find that exact picture and couldn't find it. Did anyone else have any luck finding that exact image of the woman?

  25. AssetsPumpkinimapuzzl on Jul 05, 2007 06:09 AM

Well I got 5 of 6 and solved the puzzle, but the book still has me bollixed. I'm sure when I read the answer this evening it'll be a "DOH!" moment.

    EDIT: DOH!

  26. AssetsPlumsjlee on Jul 05, 2007 07:14 AM

I think I know the theme, and I got the "M" and book ones, but not the rest.

    Quid-pro-quo...

That isn't just any kind of book... it's unusually long.

  27. AssetsPlumsjlee on Jul 05, 2007 07:24 AM

[24] Ignore anything to the contrary... it's the third one.

    http://www.itsbeach.com/blog/random/index.html

Still don't have the solution yet, however.

  28. AssetsPlumsjlee on Jul 05, 2007 07:31 AM

Finally got it with [13] and a guess.

I didn't get the mushroom or the rubber duck ones.

The first one is quite a bit of a stretch. I think a bubble coming off her saying "This is mine!" would've helped a little.

  29. AssetsAppleDodger on Jul 05, 2007 07:46 AM

For the first picture you have to make it possessive. For the fourth, where is the arrow going? The third is all about reproduction.

  30. AssetsPotatoDandelion_Wine on Jul 05, 2007 07:46 AM

I was making the 2nd step WAY to hard.

Still don't know the book one.

  31. AssetsTomatoMurdoctor on Jul 05, 2007 07:48 AM

I was going with "Shore" at first and getting the wrong answer, but then after making one slight change, I think it might be "Dinah's".

  32. AssetsAppleboop on Jul 05, 2007 08:50 AM

We found the exact picture- it is Dinah Shore. Google Dinah Shore under images, and it is the seventh page.

  33. AssetsStrawberryMINIDriver on Jul 05, 2007 09:18 AM

Writing the words down definitely helps. I can't believe I was stumped so long on this!

  34. AssetsPumpkinJohn on Jul 05, 2007 10:20 AM

Crap... the answer isn't sixties. I have all six, and stumped.

EDIT: Got it 1 minute later. Thanks [33]

  35. AssetsBananajppe5 on Jul 05, 2007 10:25 AM

I figured it out, but I still don't have the book one.

[and the light comes on] Ahhhh. I was reading too much into it. It looks like my copy of a the complete works of Shakespeare. I think a paper-back would have been better....

  36. Avatar_profileCherriesGromit on Jul 05, 2007 12:58 PM

For the yellow one, think about what you'd call someone who made it to the Hall of Fame.

  37. Avatar_profileCherriesGromit on Jul 05, 2007 01:17 PM

Man, the clues came to me rather easily, but I can't figure out the theme.

  38. Avatar_profileWatermelonDawnTX on Jul 05, 2007 02:33 PM

Uggh...I *think* i have all the clues figured out except for #5, but still can't figure out this puzzle. :-( Is there anyone that can check my clues out and nudge me?

  39. AssetsStrawberryclemon79 on Jul 05, 2007 03:20 PM

Yep, got nothin' on the book.

Solved it, but no clue what the book is.

As for the fifth one: the type of fish that is is irrelevant.

  40. AssetsTomatoDonimo on Jul 05, 2007 04:21 PM

Glad people enjoyed the puzzle. I actually searched for "War and Peace" for the image of the book, but the one pictured is actually Anna Karenina. I'm sure it's pretty long as well.

[28] sjlee: Yep, that would have made the puzzle a little neater.
