edit: oh never mind. Made the wrong association with the clue word. (Thanks a lot, Prince.)

  6. SmalloldvelvetnoseRocketsdharing on Feb 22, 2008 07:07 PM

I thought I had the solution method, and even got a word out of it ... but no go. So now I'm stuck. Bueller?

  7. FileSailboattrumanj on Feb 22, 2008 07:08 PM

    nice

  8. SmalloldvelvetnoseRocketsdharing on Feb 22, 2008 07:09 PM

OK, I've got the five words that go with the groups listed. Now what?

  9. FileSailboattrumanj on Feb 22, 2008 07:10 PM

[8] not sure, I guessed and got it after about 10 times...

  10. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Feb 22, 2008 07:14 PM

    [8] Me too. Grrrr....

  11. SmalloldvelvetnoseRocketsdharing on Feb 22, 2008 07:16 PM

And who's that guy in the background? I'm sure he's not there by accident, but I can't tell who it is.

  12. FileSailboatzyzzva on Feb 22, 2008 07:17 PM

  14. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 22, 2008 07:18 PM

[11] I think he's The Duke, although I could be wrong and don't grasp the significance anyway.

  15. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Feb 22, 2008 07:18 PM

    My second top 100!

  16. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 22, 2008 07:18 PM

Ok then, I guess I'm right!

  17. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Feb 22, 2008 07:19 PM

69th. Not as hard as it looks. I went down the wrong rabbit hole on this one. The background pick is only important for the second step. Ignore it at first!

  18. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Feb 22, 2008 07:20 PM

[14] He is the Duke, and knowing that could be one way to the answer...

  19. FileCarrotwarrenzevon on Feb 22, 2008 07:21 PM

    [17] exactly!

  20. Avatar_profileCherriesshumph on Feb 22, 2008 07:29 PM

  23. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Feb 22, 2008 07:35 PM

    Very cute, fun!

  24. FilePeachSkittlebrau on Feb 22, 2008 07:37 PM

Interesting. I'm trying to figure out how the answer related to the background picture....

  25. FilePeppercyncat on Feb 22, 2008 07:39 PM

[6] Maybe you just have to take one more step.

  26. FileRadishBetaPrime on Feb 22, 2008 07:45 PM

Nice puzzle, although I never heard the term clued by rover.

  27. SmalloldvelvetnoseRocketsdharing on Feb 22, 2008 07:51 PM

What does "clued by rover" mean? Not that I need it -- I kept thinking on it, because it was my patriotic duty, and came up with it. Not soon enough to make Top 100, but it will have to do.

  28. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Feb 22, 2008 07:53 PM

    Fun!

  29. FileSailboatyelowflower on Feb 22, 2008 08:08 PM

any hint on how to start this one?

  30. Avatar_profileAppletravelocity on Feb 22, 2008 08:50 PM

    Brilliant.
[6] You may need to recurse.
[26] It may be a regional thing.
[27] He meant that he never heard of the rover refernce
[29] I started in the bottom right.

  31. FileStrawberryaaron01edwards on Feb 22, 2008 08:56 PM

[22] Thanks!! got all the words and couldn't figure it out. so I did what you said...although not sure what's with the picture, or how the clues are supposed to get you there.

  32. FileBananatheChony on Feb 22, 2008 09:12 PM

I started right in the middle, listening to some music. Then in the end, I popped in a movie.

  33. FileTomatoRagspur on Feb 22, 2008 09:22 PM

    very nice puzzle!

  34. FileEggplantarcbat on Feb 22, 2008 09:47 PM

"Rover" refers to a sort of playground kid's game. Pretty violent back when I played it - probably not allowed in this day and age. I've heard that it originally referred to the Communist scare and people defecting.

The background image refers to a movie. It is relevant at some point.

One hundred Tanga users will test today...

  36. FileGarlicmartinp13 on Feb 23, 2008 07:32 AM

ROFL.... I'm almost ashamed to have tried "raspberry". ;)

  37. FileEggjohninc on Feb 23, 2008 08:50 AM

If the background picture was bigger, you might see the silver wings upon his chest.

  38. FilePeachfiggynewton on Feb 23, 2008 09:01 AM

That last comment is what helped me FINALLY get the answer - but I still need to backsolve to understand the puzzle... maybe that last comment was too salty?

  39. FilePeachfiggynewton on Feb 23, 2008 09:12 AM

NOW I understand how to solve the puzzle! It really is very clever!

  40. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Feb 23, 2008 10:18 AM

This one was dumb, it could have been more then just that answer.

  41. BarrerahelmSailboatElGrande on Feb 23, 2008 11:14 AM

    [9]Yes, this works, unfortunately

  42. BarrerahelmSailboatElGrande on Feb 23, 2008 11:14 AM

    [40]Not given the picture

  43. FileSailboatsteve59 on Feb 25, 2008 03:54 PM

  44. FileDuckieescKey on Feb 26, 2008 10:19 AM
