    Hmmmm, it changed!

  2. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Nov 28, 2007 12:08 PM

Very cool "Aha!" moment. Love it. (though I couldn't get the fourth one)

  3. FileCarrotpitamuffin on Nov 28, 2007 12:08 PM

Hey, I was working on a puzzle, site went down (?), and now the puzzle I was working on is nowhere to be found. What's up?

  4. FileTomatoMurdoctor on Nov 28, 2007 12:08 PM

    Well, they aren't anagrams.

  5. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Nov 28, 2007 12:09 PM

Why are the puzzles changing so fast? This is the third hard one I have seen today. I spent so much time on the "easy" one that I didn't even get to the last hard one before it changed.

[5] This is a puzzlathon. One puzzle an hour for 24 hours.

  7. FilePotatoAwpH on Nov 28, 2007 12:10 PM

[5] There's a puzzlethon on right now. 24 hard one-word-wonders in 24 hours. One new one is being posted every hour. and [4] no, and they're not simple cipher shifts, either. :-)

  8. FileClockmust67 on Nov 28, 2007 12:12 PM

    cryptogram?

  9. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Nov 28, 2007 12:12 PM

    [5] you can do old ones still. It's a puzzle-a-thon. See http://www.tanga.com/forum/blogs/1119_Aaron_s_comments_daily_fun_2_0

I have no idea how to solve the puzzle. I just answered it by looking at the picture.

  11. FilePlumhobobot on Nov 28, 2007 12:13 PM

I guessed. No clue on this one.

  12. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Nov 28, 2007 12:14 PM

[9] Good, 'cause given how long the "easy" one took, it gonna take me longer than an hour to solve these hard ones!

  13. Thumb_bruceleeAppler0xjo0 on Nov 28, 2007 12:14 PM

Total guess. Have not a clue...

  14. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Nov 28, 2007 12:15 PM

[10] DOH! That was my first thought when I saw the puzzle but I didn't put it in because I thought it was the wrong # of letters. No clue how to do this one.

Speaking of the puzzlethon, do we know when the curtain will fall on answering the final puzzle? I haven't seen official word. I know the first puzzlethon had "the crash", so the end was loosened. Will we have exactly 1 hour to finish puzzle #24? Will they have only 20 puzzles, but give you the full 24 hours to finish? (I think that was a suggestion following one of the thons.)

  16. FileAceMzblubrd on Nov 28, 2007 12:15 PM

Ive figured out 4 of 6 and at a loss for a moment

  17. Avatar_profileKiwiyendi on Nov 28, 2007 12:16 PM

Gah! After all the work on the clues, I looked at the salt and was able to get it from the picture. Still want to know some of the words, though.

  18. Avatar_profileAppleTarindel on Nov 28, 2007 12:16 PM

Guessed. No clue how to actually solve.

  19. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Nov 28, 2007 12:29 PM

Wasn't there another (mostly guess-answered) puzzle with the same answer awhile back? Or am I just crazy?

EDIT: Nope, not crazy. But I won't post the link here because it would basically be posting the answer.

  20. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Nov 28, 2007 12:20 PM

I didn't think to guess it because it doesn't match anything.

  21. Avatar_profileGrapesshrapnel on Nov 28, 2007 12:21 PM

Got a couple of words (including two for ETETAL), then guessed from the picture. Can't figure out at least two of the clues.

  22. Oakland_athletics_77100Bananagromit1025 on Nov 28, 2007 12:34 PM

guessed. earned 52 points. Fine with me.

  23. FileTomatoMurdoctor on Nov 28, 2007 12:34 PM

    Guessing isn't working here. *sigh*

  24. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Nov 28, 2007 12:37 PM

[23] MD, you once had a warm-up with the same answer. That's probably not much help since you've published about a zillion puzzles.

  25. FileAppleMCTMike on Nov 28, 2007 12:46 PM

I made an overly obvious dumb guess and got it. No clue as to solve method.

  26. FileTomatoMurdoctor on Nov 28, 2007 12:49 PM

[24] Thanks for that nudge. I was focused on 6-letter words.

  27. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Nov 28, 2007 12:52 PM

Yeah, that background is unfortunate. Don't "cheat," because this is actually quite a nice one, once you get it.

  28. Avatar_profileGrapesshrapnel on Nov 28, 2007 01:16 PM

The trick is indeed cool, but I couldn't figure enough of them out to see where it was headed.

  29. FileGarlicspamwise on Nov 28, 2007 01:24 PM

    I got it from [24]. :)
I didn't want to "cheat", but I've got to go home and I'll have enough trouble catching up on the ones that pile up during my commute. I very much look forward to seeing this clever method. I am aha-less. :(

  30. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Nov 28, 2007 03:17 PM

Big Salt: What if the background were a licence plate instead?

    -Dave, too salty?

  31. Ag1Potatojeep on Nov 28, 2007 09:02 PM

I got it with the first four and the background... anyone want to send me the last two?
