  7. FileTomatobcgrote on Aug 04, 2007 07:08 PM

  8. Avatar_profileKiwiSaxifrage on Aug 04, 2007 07:08 PM

Ah, I wondered if that's who that was. Took me a while to figure out the answer even so.

It took you 23 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 2nd Tanga member to solve this puzzle.

    No Wonder tonight?

    [7] no.

  10. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Aug 04, 2007 07:11 PM

    Well, it isn't cancer.

  11. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:15 PM

Strangely - from under my rock, I recognize both of these AND can put names to them - but not making the next step - the obvious didn't work...

  12. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 04, 2007 07:15 PM

[10] I realized only about a half hour ago that someone could potentially go that direction with it. Oops. That always seems to happen to my puzzles... but there is a more appropriate answer (in my opinion).

  13. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 04, 2007 07:16 PM

PB - you are probably very close.

  14. FileRocketBearcat89 on Aug 04, 2007 07:19 PM

    [7] Not British, but Continental.

  15. FileApplegilby123 on Aug 04, 2007 07:21 PM

Woot...always fun not ever hearing the answer word before. :(

Course, didn't help I had yummy campfire snacks on my mind.

  16. FileStrawberryUofIKappaDelta on Aug 04, 2007 07:23 PM

[10]... all I get is cancer too

  17. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:24 PM

    well, I'm pretty demoralized...

  18. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Aug 04, 2007 07:24 PM

[12] Nothing is coming to me.

  19. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 04, 2007 07:27 PM

[15] that was my husband's first guess too. Of course, we had just been camping.

[17] you gave someone a hint a few nights ago that would do you some serious good tonight. Here's a way for me to give you some salt that won't spoil it for everyone else. Think about what we replaced the fish with in the puzzle you helped me format last night.... then think about what those things come in.

  20. Avatar_profileOnionnytekien on Aug 04, 2007 07:27 PM

Wow I made the top 10, first time

  21. Avatar_profileWatermelonnervousone on Aug 04, 2007 07:30 PM

    The obvious answer is wrong.......

  22. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Aug 04, 2007 07:32 PM

[19] I thought PB at [17] was giving some punny salt of her own?

Also, am I just not seeing it or is there no one word wonder tonight?

  23. FilePearjulesfordale3 on Aug 04, 2007 07:33 PM

    darn... its not tumors

  24. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:38 PM

    [22] robrizob
:-) - sorry not salt - it was frustration, but I'n not frustrated anymore and it's not salt...

[17] Thanks kswitz - I did manage to get it on my own before seeing your post :-)

  25. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Aug 04, 2007 07:36 PM

Demooralized is kind of salty ;) That's what I meant.

  26. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:39 PM

Well, yeah, I did come up with the word in the context of the puzzle... I wasn't thinking of it as salty, as I didn't have the answer....
    duh!

  27. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Aug 04, 2007 07:44 PM

    Well, I still am demoralized.

  28. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:47 PM

    [27] gaijin
send me a GM (pbleadfoot) with what you're thinking, and I'll nudge you in the right direction...

  29. FilePearjulesfordale3 on Aug 04, 2007 07:53 PM

SALT PLLLLLEASE.... I've asked on BGG but no help yet!!!

  30. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 07:58 PM

    check GM

  31. FilePearjulesfordale3 on Aug 04, 2007 08:05 PM

Ok... was given the salt I needed by a gm from Leadfoot.. thank you... and unless you know the answer this might not make sense... but.. these two were NEVER close to this answer... he wishes... lmao

by the way... the "salt" of demoralized took me in the WRONG direction!!!

  32. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Aug 04, 2007 08:04 PM

These two aren't related, are they? If they are, that would make the answer so in appropriate!

  33. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Aug 04, 2007 08:07 PM

:) I thought the answer would be "encore" for sure.

  34. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 04, 2007 08:08 PM

    The OWW is up!

  35. FileBananasoftball80 on Aug 04, 2007 09:30 PM

Still not seeing who the guy is.
[4] "He's Aurthur", means nothing for me. Can anyone salt from a different direction please.

  36. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 04, 2007 09:34 PM

[35] the two have something in common.

  37. FileEggplantarcbat on Aug 04, 2007 10:25 PM

Arthur + www.IMDb.com should tell you who that is.

  38. FileCarrotblahmcblah on Aug 05, 2007 03:07 AM

    I still can't figure it out :(

  39. Thunk_logo_colorPotatofachanlahd on Aug 05, 2007 04:50 AM

Boy that was tough to find the right spelling for me. I knew I had it right, but I just couldn't find the right word and how it was spelled.

  40. AvatarApplebagherra on Aug 05, 2007 08:01 AM

    thank you dictionary.com
there certainly wasn't any worthwhile salt anywhere else!

  41. FileStrawberryUofIKappaDelta on Aug 05, 2007 08:29 AM

A day later... I still don't know it. If someone could GM me I'd kiss them. This is getting ridiculous

  42. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 05, 2007 08:48 AM

Ok.. here is some big salt. Go to this website, which is an archive of the One Word Warmup from 7-26-2007. It should nudge you in the right direction as they are very similar.

  43. Avatar_profileOrangeainsworth on Aug 05, 2007 09:24 AM

    Salty?
[40] thanks a lot, this word can be found in a dictionary, also the ending of the word is important, demi moore might not be happy with the answer

  44. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Aug 05, 2007 09:14 AM

Thanks kswitz [42] - I had 'two' stuck in my head. I too tried tumors and smores (among others)

  45. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Aug 05, 2007 11:55 AM

    FINALLY
"You were the 171st Tanga member to solve this puzzle."

I had to sleep on it. I had about several *other* solutions, all but TIHS one.

  46. FilePearsabbath on Aug 05, 2007 05:48 PM

Seriously can someone just help? Not Paramoores?

  47. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Aug 05, 2007 05:53 PM

    [46] Check your spelling.

  48. FilePearsabbath on Aug 05, 2007 06:17 PM

    Absolutely terrible.

  49. FileEggj15bell on Aug 30, 2010 01:13 AM
