holy crap that was a guess. dangit i wanted to figure it out lol
Cool background.
Neat puzzle, also.
I love that illusion.
I didn't even realize how cool that was until I looked again. :)
is that the last puzzle until tomorrow night?
please say yes! i'm sleepy
Heh, the opposite for me, I was trying to figure out the answers to the phrases but I kept getting distracted.
Nice
done! now i can go do some work...
So the sequence is an illusion. Or a red herring.
the clues and the answers? No. They are part of the solve method.
Yeah, I got it!
i think i have the seven words (maybe just six), but i can't figure out how to use the diagram in the center.
[13] I didn't see any use for the bullseye in the middle either... I got it without it.
[14] hmm.... now i'm questioning my word accuracy
Just for the record. I found 4 possible answers using the solve method. So try all four, when you find them, before giving up on the solve method.
i haven't any idea....salt if you have it please
well i just got it, but it was pure guess. i'm trying to backtrack for the solve method but i don't see it so far. damn optical illusion.....
The words demonstrate a progression of pairs. You're looking for an 8th word
What is up with all of the S's?
[16] If you got all 7 clues, there's only one possible answer, and it's forced on you (atleast that's what I found).
[13][14]Once I got the bullseye, the rest of the puzzle fell into place. (I already had the seven words.)
[16] I disagree, while there are nine possible answers (counting non-word answers the solve method yields) there is a clear choice amongst them. The pattern is well defined enough no trial-and-error is necessary.
[20] You might say that the puzzle is centered around all the S's
Trying to keep the salt to a reasonable level... lemme know if more is needed.
migraine time!
[11], no, there's a sequence in there, which is perfectly logical and regular, and ought to point to a specific solution, except that it isn't a word I've ever heard of. But I tried it anyway, and it was wrong. The actual answer doesn't follow the sequence.
wow, i didn't even use the circle; what the heck is it for? i found the answer by guessing, but backsolving revealed a very limited (5) number of possibilities. only 2 really go with the theme, but the more basic one ended up the correct one.
[24] you're right, but maybe that extra constraint was coincidence? just giving the benefit of the doubt to the puzzlemaker...
[21][22] I agree that the correct one is obvious by applying the pattern. Still the other words are possible, just a bit outside the pattern.
[27] If you use the circle diagram, there is only one that fits the way I solved it. Later, I managed to figure out where the extra 4 other (making 5) or 8 other (making 9) words came from once [16] pointed them out.
Urh, I kept using the verb form of the clue's word, when I needed the noun form.
