  15. FileBananaahecht on Aug 19, 2007 07:35 PM

no, it was about the 10th thing I tried.

  16. Tog6Pumpkinprincessproton on Aug 19, 2007 07:35 PM

[14] That's what I thought too, but then I thought a bit deeper on the requirements of a haiku.

  17. FileRadishThosw on Aug 19, 2007 07:36 PM

[14] I'm with you. I seem to be puzzle-blind tonight.

  18. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 19, 2007 07:39 PM

I always thought Haiku is an interesting form...

(still some TPs going begging from Last Night's Tanga Times! http://tanga.com/blogs/967)

  19. FilePumpkinJohn on Aug 19, 2007 07:41 PM

    Think about Haiku
    The thing you already know:
    Its structure and form

  20. Avatar_profileStrawberrysilgado106 on Aug 19, 2007 07:44 PM

[16] Did it for me :) Nice puzzle, and it's fun!

  21. FileAppleDodger on Aug 19, 2007 07:45 PM

    5-7-5-7-7?????

    [23] Tanga Cadet robrizob
And its a FUN one too!!

  25. FileAppleDodger on Aug 19, 2007 07:54 PM

Wikipedia has far to much information about Haikus.

  26. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Aug 19, 2007 07:58 PM

To avoid lengthy Wikipedia entries, a Haiku primer for anyone who might need it:

    Five syllables here
    And seven syllables here.
    Now, five yet again.

  27. FileAppleDodger on Aug 19, 2007 08:09 PM

Here are some syllables for you--Goodnight!

  28. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 19, 2007 08:15 PM

thanks for the comments on the puzzle guys. Of course, as has been the case with most of mine, I wasn't home when it launched. Seems like most of you are catching on. There is some really good salt in some of the posts above. :)

  29. ApparatusGrapesApparatus on Aug 19, 2007 08:37 PM

    While I feel Haiku Suck
This puzzle was not that bad
    Was enjoyable.

  30. FileApplegilby123 on Aug 19, 2007 08:51 PM

Really well done puzzle! I dig it. :)

  31. FileAppleqwertyca on Aug 19, 2007 08:55 PM

    Wow, excellently made puzzle!

  32. Lolcatsdotcom73aak810zfilrz3dGrapesSeleneCorvinus on Aug 19, 2007 09:06 PM

    Nicely done kswitz :)

  33. Avatar_profileWatermelonemperorhand on Aug 19, 2007 09:18 PM

Ah, it's refreshing to have things "click" so easily (no, that's not salt.) Well done!

  34. FilePancakesArnott (Tanga Admin) on Aug 19, 2007 09:20 PM

Nice puzzle. And not for the surface reason :) Really clever, and... damn you, I had a "rage" into "fork part" thing percolating.

  35. FileDuckiedavey3 on Aug 19, 2007 09:37 PM

Nice puzzle if you know what haiku is all about. Unfortunately, it's not under my rock, but thanks for the salt.

  36. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 19, 2007 10:46 PM

    [34] Brillant!

  37. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 19, 2007 10:48 PM

[36] by the way Arnott, hope you don't mind my using you in my poem. But man, sometimes your puzzles drive me nuts. (always in a good way).

  38. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Aug 19, 2007 10:53 PM

    [35] davey
What's your rock like? Mine is grey with light green and white lichen growing on it. Kinda pretty I think. Anyway, use [26] but apply as tanga numbers...

  39. SouthparkPepperTahnan on Aug 19, 2007 10:56 PM

Oh, darnit. I got so caught up in the fact that "seven" is hidden in Haiku #2, and "ten" in Haiku #3, that I was trying to do something with the seventh syllable of #2 and the tenth syllable of #3, and then trying to find a hidden number in Haiku #1...

    Well, anyway. Nicely done.

  40. FileRocketTrinSF on Aug 20, 2007 12:51 AM

I thought that was very sweet and elegant. *smile*

  41. Avatar_profilePlumVRoscioli on Aug 20, 2007 03:53 AM

    Very nice.

  42. Avatar_profileWatermelonnervousone on Aug 20, 2007 06:49 AM

There is no standard haiku form.

  43. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Aug 20, 2007 08:15 AM

[42] hmmm.. I taught English for 5 years and we only used one form... and when I double-checked it on Wikipedia it also came up as the common form. If there isn't a standard one there is definitely a most used one, and if you follow the form provided in the puzzle you should get the answer.

  44. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Aug 20, 2007 08:33 AM

    GREAT ONE!

  45. FileGrapesdantan98 on Aug 20, 2007 08:37 AM

    Very creative!! 5Stars! =-D

  46. Avatar_profilePeachMagusK on Aug 20, 2007 12:35 PM

Feeling very stumped and quite dull.

I can't see what to count.

  47. FilePeachyoda31419 on Aug 20, 2007 12:44 PM

    [46] Start small.

  48. Avatar_profilePeachMagusK on Aug 20, 2007 01:26 PM

    Lines, letters and words
    Counting them leads to folly.
    What am I missing?

  49. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Aug 20, 2007 02:20 PM

[48] Certain important numbers are used to make Haiku, as you're obviously aware of. Perhaps there's a way you could apply those numbers to this puzzle?

    EDITED FOR SALT CONTENT

  50. Avatar_profilePeachMagusK on Aug 20, 2007 02:07 PM

Thanks. My brain wasn't working today.

  51. Avatar_profileOrangeLocke07 on Aug 20, 2007 02:36 PM

i haven't had one of those in a while. =)

  52. FilePumpkinJohn on Aug 20, 2007 05:08 PM
