It took you 1 minute and 5 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 1st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.

Once again, hard and easy seem switched.

  2. AvatarApplebagherra on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:03 PM

dammit, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP MAKING PUZZLES COLORBLIND PEOPLE CAN'T DO!

  3. FileRadishSpire on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:05 PM

[1] Donimo: Yep, I finished second on this one, but still haven't solved the easy one.

  4. ApparatusGrapesApparatus on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:05 PM

[2] ...and sadly this one would take quite a while to translate into text for you.

  5. AvatarApplebagherra on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:08 PM

I see the green cubes, but I can't find the orange ones...I think

Bah, the only ones I'm certain about are red...

or maybe not...my friend told me one of the orange ones was red and one of the red ones was orange...GRRRRR

  6. AvatarApplebagherra on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:16 PM

would someone be willing to make a "graymap" of the puzzle for me so I can "enjoy" it too?

  7. ApparatusGrapesApparatus on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:17 PM

It may not help much but I tried to simplify the colors as best I could. This of course makes the rest of the puzzle a little blurry, but hope it helps.

    Unfortunately the colors are important.

  8. ApparatusGrapesApparatus on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:21 PM

Grayscale version... not sure how it'd help.

  9. FilePlumlseelba on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:21 PM

I don't see what red cubes have to do with anything in this puzzle.

  10. FileApplegilby123 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:24 PM

I got it and I like the general idea of what was done, but this one was tough for me and I'm not colorblind. This would be IMPOSSIBLE for someone who's colorblind and that's just lousy.

  11. FilePlumlseelba on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:35 PM

Is there an alternate way through this puzzle because my way doesn't go over a single green square.

  12. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:36 PM

it hurts my eyes too much. It's moments like this that I wish I WAS colorblind... Make the pain stop.

  13. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:38 PM

got the instructions, but not sure how to use them.

  14. FileDuckiedavey3 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:38 PM

Cute, but not for the colorblind.

Now if only I could get anywhere on the "easy" puzzle tonight!

  15. Avatar_profileStrawberrysilgado106 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:45 PM

Yeah, this was actually pretty hard for me to see too...
But it was pretty cool though.

  16. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:45 PM

[11] [13] Step away from the puzzle!

    It might help.

  17. FileAppleTWhitsett on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:45 PM

Yeah, this one was hard to see, even though I'm not colorblind. It's puzzles like this that make me wish we could click on the puzzles and make them bigger. Even the letters were hard to see for me.

  18. Chain_bunnyEggIrrenarzt on Tue Aug 14, 2007 07:53 PM

I knew the method, just couldn't see it. Maybe it's time to get my eyes checked again...

  19. FilePlumlseelba on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:05 PM

I had to put it into an excel spreadsheet to get it.

  20. AvatarCarrotrobrizob on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:07 PM

At least we can console ourselves with the fact that this puzzle must have been as much of a pain to make as it was to read.

  21. FileApplegilby123 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:08 PM

[19] I had to put mine in MS Paint and alter it to find the answer.

  22. AvatarApplebagherra on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:08 PM

This one word wonder was PERPLEXING even for my sighted friends.

Thanks to those who came to my color-superior needs
(I maintain I'm the one with normal vision, the rest of you are screwed up!)

  23. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:10 PM

    bagherra

nevermind - I see you have faster friends than I!

  24. Avatar_profilePearhld1970 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:13 PM

Well, that was a horse of a different color.

  25. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:22 PM

    meh... still stuck. sniff.

  26. Thumb_bruceleeAppler0xjo0 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:28 PM

    Egads!!! I'm blinded!!!

  27. Avatar_profileWatermelonnervousone on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:30 PM

Got it, but the red and orange are so close as to make my eyes hurt.

    Someone owes me some Excederin.

  28. Avatar_profileApplepyrok on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:40 PM

I also got this right away but still nothing on the easy :(

  29. Avatar_profilePeachMagusK on Tue Aug 14, 2007 08:52 PM

Rough. I'm slightly color blind. Now I feel even worse....

  30. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 09:06 PM

but there aren't any letters on the colored squares...!

  31. FileOrangeleukothea on Tue Aug 14, 2007 09:09 PM

Got it, but ouch, my eyes. 8-|

  32. FilePepperdajagr on Tue Aug 14, 2007 09:55 PM

    Ow.

...well, now we know why the puzzle creator is down to one eye.

  33. Avatar_profileAppledavidmarshburn on Tue Aug 14, 2007 09:53 PM

that was pretty cool. thank goodness for MS paint and the erase feature!

  34. Carnival_victoryWatermelonadamondi on Tue Aug 14, 2007 10:02 PM

    This was an awesome puzzle.

  35. Avatar_profileOrangecwdelfin on Tue Aug 14, 2007 10:10 PM

    colorblind or not...

this puzzle is just not pleasin' to the eyes. i'm sad. the puzzles don't pull me into solving them like they used to.

  36. Pacman2EggTheOneEye on Tue Aug 14, 2007 10:29 PM

Sorry about the colors. It was a little bit easier on the eyes in jpeg format, but the colors got pushed closer together in the conversion to bitmap.

Also, I was planning on coming back to it to try and make the colors less bright and hard on the eyes in general, but they used the puzzle before I got the chance.

  37. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 11:35 PM

From what I'm reading, it is based on color, which means I'm screwed.

[36] making colors less bright usually makes things WORSE for the colorblind. At least it does for me.

  38. FilePeachyoda31419 on Tue Aug 14, 2007 11:42 PM

Had to step away for a second to see the answer.

  39. Avatar_profileAppleqwertyca on Wed Aug 15, 2007 01:37 AM

    Jeez... My eyes are dead...

    Nice one though :-P

  40. Avatar_profileStrawberrysyracuselaxfan on Wed Aug 15, 2007 04:21 AM

got the clue but I still refuse to use a program (excel/mspaint) to try and solve these puzzles...way too much of a P.I.T.A.

  41. Avatar_profileKiwiTheDowman on Wed Aug 15, 2007 06:22 AM

Just be glad it wasn't a computer program written in Piet.

  42. FileStrawberrydivisionbyzorro on Wed Aug 15, 2007 06:24 AM

This puzzle would have been infinitely better if that was a bitmap or simple GIF instead of a JPG.

Then I could have just copied it into MSPAINT and used the color eraser to find the answer :) It actually works rather elegantly that way if you use the image that Apparatus made.

Clever idea though; I toyed around with trying to do something like that once, but gave it up because I couldn't figure out a good enough way to implement it.

  43. FileRocketBearcat89 on Wed Aug 15, 2007 07:27 AM

    Ah! It burns my eyes!
    Color blind need not apply
    Answer in plain sight

  44. Avatar_profilePlumVRoscioli on Wed Aug 15, 2007 08:14 AM

[42] You could have copied it into paint and then saved with a lower bitrate (8-color or 16-color BMP). Would have flattened the colors enough for it to work.

  45. Avatar_profileOrangeainsworth on Wed Aug 15, 2007 09:29 AM

lost in confusion of what clue means, answer in plain sight but well hidden

  46. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Wed Aug 15, 2007 09:43 AM

Could someone point me to an orange block? x,y coordinates, or near some letter.

Being color blind, this puzzle is IMPOSSIBLE!

Edit: I finally guessed at which was was orange and was able to get it.

  47. Avatar_profileKiwiSilverSabre25 on Wed Aug 15, 2007 11:23 AM

This wasn't that quite so much...more like headache inducing!!

  48. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Wed Aug 15, 2007 11:26 AM

    finally....

  49. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:35 PM

    I'll second the eye-wrenching!

  50. Avatar_profileStrawberryhoratio80 on Wed Aug 15, 2007 03:27 PM

Its Puzzling why any one would ever make a puzzel like that.

  51. Avatar_profileStrawberrySam32 on Wed Aug 15, 2007 04:43 PM

I found this cryptic labyrinth quite enjoyable. I also learned that I wasn't colorblind. Thank the tanga gods. I feel for those who are. I do wish the orange were a bit easier to distinguish, should have picked purple or something.
