Not my best ever, but pretty good.
To get an early start on hinting folks. The key is the key. Just look around.
The fact that the .GIF ends in "Arnott" scares me.
UGEEK! UGEEK!
/BGG.Con 2006 joke.
Five and a half minutes, I am ashamed. I feel like I'm in the middle of room and everyone's looking at me and pointing.
Now, now. They may have their fingers out, but that's not to point at you in scorn.
Clever puzzle.
these puzzles make me feel stupid.
me too
I think I get the clue, but I am not able to apply it correctly yet.
You have already solved this puzzle.
It took you 42 seconds.
You are the 4th fastest Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
You were the 18th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Yay, I could use a puzzle that I just "got" right away.
Does anyone else randomly check the blog during the day just in case they post up a way to use these Tanga points? Sometimes I have to stop myself. :)
I just don't see it yet, and it is frustrating me not to be able to post my thoughts freely.
must be all the prep for finals this week...but I'm not seeing any key "around here" or "somewhere" or "anywhere" for that matter....hrm....
xps, is that because you use an alternate configuration?
And yet, the key is almost certainly right within your reach...
D'oh
it better be...or this is going to be a very long night. ;)
can someone give me a hint on how to use the key?
Oh, nice. I was on the wrong track to start with but I soon came around to the right answer.
Wow, eleven minutes.
My only defense is that I never took that in school. I'm more of a touchy-feely kind of guy :)
what really confused me was being able to spell the word "key" with the jumble of letters below. Double D'oh. Finally got it though
It took you 14 minutes and 30 seconds.
You are the 33rd fastest Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
You were the 41st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
First time, hint free!!!!! I know it's not 38 seconds, but I'll sleep great tonight!!!
wow.. finally got it. 15 minutes. yuck. I had no idea how close the key was.
Wow, I sure made that harder than it needed to be.
I am the stupidest man alive!
You have already solved this puzzle.

You were the 64th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Not quite. I still don't see it.
Not the stupidest...I'm still....uh lost
Too obvious for me.
The key could be right under your nose.
Look closer.
I must be to close
I am going to vent my frustration. It apparently has nothing to do with letters "around" the letters that spell KEY or any variation of the words in the paragraph.
xps, you don't know how close you are.
XPS - yes, that's true. It does however have to do with each line of clues being around a key. Sadly, the answer is right at your fingertips.
xpsdude, remember how we did the Nov. 27th puzzle....
Woot! I get bored quickly, it seems...
You have already solved this puzzle.
It took you 26 seconds.

(I wish this didn't count download times.)
About time there was one where I'm *inside* the regional bias instead of outside.
grrr....got it...thanks war. :0
xps, it may not be the type of puzzle you think it is...
and thanks to all others who hinted along the way...it should've been blatantly obvious...but alas, it wasn't.
Dvorak would not be able to solve this puzzle.
Funny. Nice little puzzle Aaron. If you have "The Touch" it should get it with blinding speed.
actually....I think those without the touch might get it faster. ;) I was too busy looking somewhere else.
omg. I can't believe I didn't see it earlier
though, momma always said I'd been touched.
Joe, How is there a "regional bias" to this puzzle? Or are you just saying that as your clue? (FWIW, Thosw gave it away for me.)
lame
ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH.........Did not see that.....Thanks Fawkes. I would have been staring at the screen all night when I should have been looking a little lower.
too much Thosw...
Just not TOO low xps. Not too low. :D
I can't get it at all! I'm so stupid...
Well, he would be too busy working on the Ninth Symphony.
Benjaminx - sent you a BGG mail.

Damn you Brenda Lee Johnson for distracting me! That took me an extra 15 minutes!
Crazy puzzle! I mean, that's just not the way I think when I do these puzzles!
We just did some emergency maintenance on the site. Hopefully it's much faster for everyone.
Darn you Network File Systems!
> The fact that the .GIF ends in "Arnott" scares me.
> UGEEK! UGEEK!
Hey HEY! Cool. Thanks, Thosw, I would never have noticed that. Of course, the answer makes even more sense to me now :)
It took you 3 minutes and 32 seconds.
You are the 52nd fastest Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
You were the 176th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Am I the only left who can't figure this one out? Do I understand that I'm only supposed to look at those 3 codes near the bottom?
theChony - try not to be too frustrated. The key is right at your fingertips.
For your first question - maybe. For the second, well, not quite. That's all you need to look at on the screen, yes.
xps - good clue, wish I'd thought of it. :)
I thought thosw's was a bit too obvious, had avoided it before.
still lost...still feeling dumb...
anybody got any salt for me?
The key is right in front of you (probably).
Things are pretty salty already, stonana. I think it'd be hard to say more without giving it away. You on BGG? I could send you an email...
tempus42, not everywhere has the same high standards as the U.S., although the U.S. is a big exporter in this respect.
If you go to the relevant Wikipedia page you discover the first (really minor) snag about a third of the way down the page. And technically somebody might be fluently bilingual having fun with these puzzles from northern Europe or from Asia. Since Tanga membership was seeded from BGG there's probably a few folks from Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, China, ... ...
not on BGG...you could e-mail me at stonana@hotmail.com if you want to...
Done.
Sent a message Stonana
xps,
thanks for the e-mails...i went back and read the posts again and I ended up getting it...clever puzzle
Midnight in Florida, good night.
I had to step away, but I solved it when I came back and received a puzzling result...
You are the 197th fastest Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
You were the 181st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Are people solving it multiple times? Or is the count off?
I'm getting worried about this fabeled "regional bias", since I'm still lost.
after two days of not solving what were supposedly easier puzzles, I'm glad I could get my mind wrapped around this one...
yes, there is a regional bias. Things are different in Europe... May not work there.
BTW, thank XPS. very salty, but not onerous.
Jesus, that shouldn't have been so hard!
culturally biased salt?
The key to the answer may not be readily available to all peoples of the world. Though I assume that if you knew what you were looking for, a quick trip to wiki could solve that problem.
The key isn't obvious, is it?
It turns out it was kinda obvious...
arg...it seems sometimes printing the puzzle out to work on it is a disadvantage...[49] broke it wide open for me. really wish i hadn't had to look at the blog at all...doh!
Neat puzzle. The first one that I really didn't need obvious clues for.
I like that the puzzzles are now divided by month, but when I clicked on one of the months I get logged out rather than taken to the puzzles, just like when the big blue P first appeared.
Some of us are ergonomically advanced, ya know!!! :P
For those still stuck, #42 was the "AHA" clue for me. It might be that for you.
You have already solved this puzzle.

Jesus indeed. I'll never doubt your hints again. It truly was, right at my fingertips, under my nose, keys I always use.
So, that's why it's titled ...Arnott!
You have already solved this puzzle.
It took you 3 minutes and 8 seconds.
You are the 93rd fastest Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
You were the 367th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Personal best so far. Didn't take long when I figured out the pattern, or at least where it was.
I am so mad - I usually print these puzzles out and work on them from home - not at my COMPUTER! Naturally, the clue did not present itself to me at all ;)
uh... i dont get it
or not
nice one
God, I'm an idiot.
Ummm....I don't get it.
