Says I'm first right now. Let's see if it sticks.
Cute!
#2
Awwww, yeah. *dance* I think it's my first, and certainly my first hard. Done in a snap!
I'm too freaked out to answer this puzzle since I grew up in Lindstrom MN - one of ~3000 people.
4th - glad to redeem myself after struggling with last night's. Nice one!
6th...and ugh.
* It took you 38 seconds to solve this puzzle.
* You were the 7th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
A rare top ten for me tonight!
# It took you 10 minutes and 8 seconds to solve this puzzle.
# You were the 8th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Well, that was kinda weird. Back to horror movies and sewing now!
I'd say Dona Ana because it's right outside las cruces which has THE BEST mexican restaurant in the WORLD!
* It took you 6 minutes and 27 seconds to solve this puzzle.
* You were the 10th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Ahahaha. Grooooan.
Had to leave and come back to this one. Something about it was hanging over my head.
[9] Which one? We have soooo many great mexican food restaurants.
Drawing a blank here, any gentle nudges?
13, it may help to look into town websites. I'm wondering if you've studied a language in school?
I miss NM TexMex! I keep thinking about the food I grew up with instead of the puzzle!
[12] honestly, I don't remember the name of it.
It's across the street from the university. If I recall, they used to serve exclusively native american food, but now it's more Mexican fare.
I also have a soft spot for the Double Eagle. I don't care for the mexican restaurant that shares space with it, though.
????
[13] I just checked, say Wikipiedia, and found that might be helpful. I could see how one might overlook the answer. Getting in first place involved staying on top of things, I tell you.
hrm, guadalupe isn't the answer...
that was too gimmicky, very dissatisfying answer.
I'm 0/3 tonight...
I made an educated guess based on their meing two New Mexicos. Please someone salt eventually so I can figure out why I was right.
[16] If it was 'The Hacienda', it is now unfortunately closed. But there's always Andalé. Si Señor is pretty good too. But, most people put too much salt in the sopa de albóndigas.
[9], [12], are you my neighbors? (I'm in El Paso.)
I'm in Las Cruces.
[25] Good! If I ever create a puzzle, I'll have someone nearby to test solve. :)
Hm. I'm not sure the last city works on a technicality, but..
[27] C'est vrai, I think. Though another city of the same name does.
[16] Double Eagle? La Hacienda? How about Nellie's? Or Chope's?
[15] NM Tex Mex? No such thing.
EDIT: Although I must admit, Si Senor is pretty good...and Andele's has good food, but everytime I've been there, the service has been awful.
Still clueless on this one. I think law school is atrophying my brain...
[30] The quote is important. It contaïns a helpful pun.
Weird, I guessed the right answer. I have no idea how to solve it.
[31] That's what I needed - thanks!
So, I looked at these places on a map, but I can find no commonality. How do I go about solving this one?
[31] Ha! That was a cute hint.
[34] You don't need a map... just the place names. Unfortunately, there's no tittle text from which to get any clues.
EDIT: And the food critic (who's name might be Mark) probably ordered quesadillas.
I agree with [35] that [31] is a nice hint. In fact I learned a new word today. However, I had to solve the puzzle before [35]'s edit made any sense.
I can also see how some folks got the answer without understaning the puzzle. But, I don't recomend trying to solve based on that info.
Finally. Used the wrong new word/pun. Now if I could just get the easy...
