How to Play
One Word Wonders are word puzzles where the answer is exactly one word. Decipher the image below to come up with the answer. For a better idea on how to solve this puzzle view an example. If you get stuck you can ask for help in the comments section. Hints are posted 24 hours after puzzle's publish date (if provided by author).

# It took you 3 minutes and 37 seconds to solve this puzzle.
# You were the 2nd Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
D'oh! If only I hadn't gotten hung up on the first one!
# It took you 3 minutes and 53 seconds to solve this puzzle.
# You were the 3rd Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Heh. Clever one.
4th at 1:34. Shoulda gotten here s(p)ooner.
It took you 2 minutes and 51 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 6th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Easy one tonight.
man, I feel megastupid now, I helped test this one and I still dont know the answer after a week
10th - cool. Had a couple of the four words and figgered out the rest.
Very nice idea and well put together.
I apologize if salty, but you must understand my frustration of having this puzzle for so long and not knowing the answer
is the last clue bye bye?
I'm certain I have the other three now
[8] Nope. "Everyone" is important (even you :).
[9] thanks
Now I just need to know how to spoonerize the first and third
an insect helmet just doesn't sound right.
So who solved first? I was surprised because it seemed they did it in under a minute. It wasn't me. Maybe Tanga staff as a test?
and yay for an answer without two of the clues!
Wow. I spent way too long trying to use those numbers on the side as tanga numbers rather than the indicators they are. Once I stopped doing that, it was a lot easier to see the answer.
I got the answer (with slight salt from the comments), but couldn't get the first clue.
I have all the words but am missing how to get to the next step.
Scratch that, got it now. Was looking for a word too long.
Nice puzzles tonight D...

Got the words, can't figure out the numbers.. any help? EDIT: Weird... I got it just by spoonering the words and using the bottom row of numbers. Can someone tell me what the numbers next to each clue mean? As far as I can tell, you don't need them...
[18] Letter counts (6, 6)
Can anyone clue the 1st one? I tried RUMBLE, but that didn't match the flavor of the others.
Guessed using the last 3. I got one answer for the first one, but it wouldn't match Tanga numberwise, so I'm not sure what it is.
Since at least one person asked, I solved first:
# It took you 1 minute and 11 seconds to solve this puzzle.
# You were the 1st Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
I'm a fan of the late Reverend Spooner.
Ahh... the first one just came to me. I must have been trying to stick it in my ear.
sigh, spoons... I suck at spoons. Couldn't get the hypercross last time either... any more salt for one who is not a fan of the late reverend spooner?
edit: there we go, thx leadfoot, your BGG salt was very useful.
And those still stuck on the first word, its very similar to the 3rd word after all the work.
[23] If it helps, a couple of these have a syllable that lacks a leading consonant sound. I think they're still valid spoonies, just harder to uncover.
An example (not from this puzzle) would be:
_ear-Ring to
Rear-_ing
Keep in mind that you're exchanging syllable sounds, not strict spelling, such as (again, not in this puzzle):
Wee-Curd to
Key-Word
You'd probably have a hard time making sense out of Cee Wurd, so it may help to stick with phonetic spelling.
And I always find it necessary to say them out loud :)
what is a spooner?
[19] I got the same as you, however solved it with the last three and an educated guess
[25] BetaPrime
not "what" but "who" and "what" is he famous for?
UHG! I got it by guessing but back trying to backsolve is proving to be useless and it's frustrating me still even though I got the points already. Other than that the spoonerisms were fun and the puzzle was greatly enjoyed. (except for the first word)
[28] Maybe you need a little more room to figure it out...
[13] Me, too! Wow. Some numbers just aren't tanga numbers.
[28], The first word threw me off too.
*Grrr* I've got the last three answers, and I know what to do with them, but the 3-2-2-2 is throwing me off, and I can't figure out what to do with it.
Gonna be one of those days, I can tell.
**Never mind** Figured out the answer to the first one by doing a Theasaurus check on Roar. Then it made sense.
Well done Don, I didn't know what a spoonerism was.
Can't get the 3-2-2-2....
