  7. FileRadishThosw on Oct 03, 2007 07:03 PM

Got it, but not really sure how.

Edit: If you could see the pedals, it'd be a little more clear.

  8. FilePancakesjmcintyre on Oct 03, 2007 07:06 PM

Wow, 40th after only a few minutes. Tangans are riding all over this one.

  9. FileBananayodaredd on Oct 03, 2007 07:07 PM

Haha, I was in the room when aneese made this one. I was like "everybody is going to hate you for this one!"
We didn't think it would ever get published ;)

  11. Almost-sold-out-product2OnionDrewO on Oct 03, 2007 07:19 PM

My wife got this one before I did. Must be she had an example to look at.

  12. FilePeachsouthaustin on Oct 03, 2007 07:23 PM

I like the choice of the pink vehicle, being a girl and all.

  13. FilePeachsouthaustin on Oct 03, 2007 07:23 PM

    [11] Drew -- bahahaha.

  14. FilePepperVerve640 on Oct 03, 2007 07:24 PM

[7] - The second picture is wrong, everyone else pretend it has pedals...

  15. FilePlumlseelba on Oct 03, 2007 07:38 PM

Looks like a vespa to me.

  16. FilePumpkinJohn on Oct 03, 2007 07:44 PM

    [15] Correct
    GIS for "pink vespa"
    http://first50.files.wordpress.com/2006/10/vespa.jpg

(And, that's not the word the puzzle wants)

  17. FilePotatoDandelion_Wine on Oct 03, 2007 07:48 PM

    i chuckled

  18. FileRadishThosw on Oct 03, 2007 08:06 PM

[16] That's what threw me. The word wanted seems to have become interchangeable with what's actually pictured. A Google image search for the word shows lots of examples that lack the one thing that makes it the correct compound word.

  19. Ohnoes-stickerStrawberryBuddyJ on Oct 03, 2007 08:11 PM

That's not a Vespa. Looks like a TNG Milano or Schwinn Graduate. Shoulda been a photo of a Puch.

  20. FileApplegilby123 on Oct 03, 2007 08:20 PM

    LMAO!

    Nice one!

  21. Avatar_profilePeachCUTHALI0N on Oct 03, 2007 08:26 PM

  24. FilePepperdajagr on Oct 03, 2007 10:46 PM

    That puzzle was s--err, dumb!

  25. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Oct 03, 2007 10:56 PM

    [24] dajagr
*chuckle* I was wondering if someone would post that!

  26. Avatar_profilePeachwongjbw on Oct 03, 2007 11:06 PM

Was it just me, or did anyone else see Curry?

  27. Avatar_profilePeachMrballiwhoo on Oct 04, 2007 12:47 AM

lame. using a more correction image would have been helpful

  28. Avatar_profileOrangePobreBrusco on Oct 04, 2007 04:55 AM

    [27] Because you're such a perfectionismist?

  29. FilePearBigRob68 on Oct 04, 2007 06:25 AM

is the firSt picTurE What i think it is? (WHAT I THINK IT IS)

  30. FilePearBigRob68 on Oct 04, 2007 06:29 AM

does this have anything to do with the cubs losing?

  31. FileKiwijgoewert on Oct 04, 2007 06:42 AM

Uh.. yeah. I guess living in the midwest, we call that a scooter. Them trendy Frenchies just call it the same thing I'd call a bike with an engine.

  32. FilePearBigRob68 on Oct 04, 2007 06:50 AM

nevermind, god i feel so-- err, (24)

  33. Head_shotBananajppe5 on Oct 04, 2007 07:52 AM

    that was... uh... dumb.

[31] I'm with you, I kept thinking scooter.

  34. FileGrapesdantan98 on Oct 04, 2007 08:57 AM

so it's NOT a scooter... wth?
GAH!! As soon as I posted... lmao

  35. FilePlumsjlee on Oct 04, 2007 09:08 AM

Easy, but misleading, since I too thought it was a scooter.

    Random House Unabridged Dictionary
"a motorized bicycle that has pedals in addition to a low-powered gasoline engine designed for low-speed operation."

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language
"A lightweight motorized bicycle that can be pedaled as well as driven by a low-powered gasoline engine."

    Merriam-Webster
"Etymology: Swedish, from motor + pedal
    Date: 1955
a lightweight low-powered motorbike that can be pedaled "

  36. Avatar_profileWatermelonCrash_Enburn on Oct 04, 2007 10:00 AM

Yeah. w/o the "pedals" commentary, I wouldn't have gotten this...

And, the answer is *NOT* "stutter"

  37. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Oct 04, 2007 10:34 AM

This image is incorrect. That's not a MO it's a SCOO.
    here's the actual image: http://first50.wordpress.com/2006/10/05/vespa/
http://www.joshmargrie.com/mt/archives/000031.html <--THIS is what would have worked...

  38. Anna_image3_1_OnionAbbie on Oct 04, 2007 02:00 PM

No peddles on that vespa looking non MO-***
    Boo

  39. Avatar_profileCherrieswadelindsey on Oct 04, 2007 02:12 PM

    [29] yeah

  40. FileBananaSephiroth2906 on Oct 04, 2007 03:10 PM

Must have said it 3 times. Bah

  41. FileSailboatrashawnsgrandma on Sep 30, 2010 11:38 AM

    Aaawww! I feel so dumb! I saw "soup" + "scooter" - "scoot" = souper = super. It coulda been . . . :(

Thanx aneese for a good giggle :)
