Had one with this solve method a while back, but this one clued it better.
I seem to be stuck. I thought I had something, but it fell apart.
what on earth is going on here?

[5] It's a code. Each letter inside the box stands for a letter in the alphabet. You could probably brute-force it with random guesses, but maybe - just maybe - there's a shortcut...

I guess now I know why they say your mama is always your mama.

# You were the 14th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
I liked the clue phrase. Fun stuff.
Not to nitpick, but I think "TDFO" should be "TSFO".
Also, could someone give a short lesson on how to avoid the... are they compression artifacts?... Is it as simple as using PNG and avoiding JPG?
[8] Thanks, Qwertyca!
[10] Good catch - picture fixed.
The change in the fourth line did it for me.
Me too! Thanks MCTMike!!
But I don't get it :<
[15] Hmmm. Did you figure out what number 9, "From the New World" refers to?
26th! Not a bad puzzle. Google turned out to be instrumental in my discovery of the solving method.
I brute forced it. Now to backsolve...
[later] Got it with the hint to use an external reference. Clever.
I know the reference, and I have the clue complete up to 1/2 of line four and none of line five...
I wish I new how to use the reference in some way...
[19] Turns out our friend Antonin has a... cousin - of sorts.
Solved it. Interesting way to clue in. Does the first line meant anything? I thought it might mean rot9 cipher at first.
[21] In part, it points out that it's a code. Separately, the 9 and the "From the New World" reference and the op.95 all refer the same thing
Thanks a million [10]! Took me 43 minutes to solve this ... too bad I didn't look at the blog for the first 40 of those minutes! Much easier with the right letters there.
Great, thanks.... BIG difference between year mama and your mama!
Hmmm, turns out the reference isn't the key. It takes a bit of geek knowledge to make the leap.
But the key itself might be familiar enough save keystrokes wasted in pursuit of a key...
[24] S'pose it d'pens how fur south year livin...
:O
[25] Right - the reference only gets you halfway to the true clue. But August problem solvers will find a solution right at their fingertips.
Nice one! Good puzzle. I like how the last line is special =) BTW, he's one of my favorites and that reference is my favorite from him.
[28] Glad you liked it. I must admit, #9 is actually the only one of his I am familiar with...
I liked it. Googling "from the new world" was all the help I needed.
Cute.
stuck
[32]second that
I know the name that I should and what op.95 is, but how do I put this stuff together?
[33] Turns out Mr. op.95 isn't the only person with that last name. Find the other and you find the solving method.
Thanks [34] Good Puzzle!
That puzzle was great once I was directed in the right direction!
This really had me crying for some kind of mercy until I put all of the steps together. Thanks people! And thanks, MCTMike for a good puzzle!
That was totally fun. Thanks!
[10] Yes. For some reason, Tanga does not handle jpg's very well. But png's do just fine.
Yeah...my first Tanga puzzle solved!!!!! Fun
I *love* that guy, even though he can sometimes be a jerk.
That's no way to talk about my mama.
Also, the obvious answer, "horrible JPEG artifacts" isn't a single word.
i agree with (15), (32), and (33)
(1) It took you 1 MINUTE AND 26 SECONDS to solve this puzzle.
You were the 1ST TANGA MEMBER to solve this puzzle.
Average solve time: 2 MINUTES AND 39 SECONDS
Median solve time: 3 MINUTES AND 15 SECONDS
6.557% of Tanga members that have attempted this puzzle have solved it.
WHO DID THE MATH ON THAT ONE???
But, the answer should have been "gbjn."!
Oddly enough, I Tangaized the number 9 as the 9th letter in the code being an E becaue it's the symphony in E minor. Coincidently (some would say ironically) that works!
[46] That's interesting - I worried about putting the #9 and op.95 in the puzzle for fear solvers would try to Tangify them.

The statistics are recomputed at the time the page is updated, so in the case you show, there were other solves before TrinSF refreshed the screen. The only things that stays the same refresh to refresh are the solve time and the ranking - all else take into account all solvers.
