Um yeah, that's probably a word for that first pic that no one has ever heard of. Wiki was my friend.
And how am I the first to comment?
The obvious answer is not being accepted.
Hmm, I have what I think is a good answer but not correct.
donkeyflea, donkeymite, donkeytick, assflea, assmite, asstick, ponyflea, ponymite, ponytick? crab? louse? onager? burro?
Aztec would be a GREAT answer, but alas.
[6] More obscure on the first pic.
I can't be sure, but I think the gender of the first picture is wrong for what the answer is.

[2] That's the only way I got it as well.
Aztec is what I came up with too.
[2]I've heard of that word. I would certainly call her that.
Definitely wish it was aztec, but it's not
It took you 9 minutes and 8 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 9th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Never thought I'd be in the top ten. Waaaaaaayyyyyyy less common than I was using.
12th, that was bloody awful.
Bad! That's really stretching it for a warm-up.
This is NOT an easy one.
[12] Thanks!
Good help in [2] - Aztec was a much better answer though.
Thank you #2 and #6
Thank You Wikipedia!!!
Bah to that.
And I thought this might be the ultimate geek puzzle and refer to Unix' predecessor.
even the "sound it out" didnt work well...my roomate actually came in and asked me what the heck i was trying say...
I totally thought it was marmite
what wiki entry is everyone looking at? I'm coming up with zilch.
Go look for a good time in a public restroom and you might find the answer. Otherwise, you might find her still on the block even though she's got a lot of rocks.
[27] Thanks! I got it! For a good time call...
That was definitely obscure.
Haha, I used the more formal (even more obscure) version for the fist pic so a lot of these comments were really confusing. I finally get them and now I know more about this animal than I will ever need.
[2] amen. would've never gotten it w/o wiki.
[27] thanks.
Yeah...I agree. I think that puzzle could have been done a lot better. Or the answer could have been what we all expected. One or the other.
lame.
It took you 3 minutes and 29 seconds to solve this puzzle.
You were the 126th Tanga member to solve this puzzle.
Average solve time: 10 minutes and 47 seconds.
Median solve time: 6 minutes and 56 seconds.
wow - never heard that word for the first pic before...
Awful. I'd probably raise my grade it to a C if it had clued the answer in a second way.
shoooooooot, i'm stumped. :(
What you're looking at there is not a donkey, and the answer is the difference.
I'm average and I generated the answer...having passed her a few times in the looking and pairing.
It took you 11 minutes and 36 seconds to solve this puzzle.
Average solve time: 11 minutes and 30 seconds.
Oh, and if you chose the REAL answer for the first pic, makes it obvious and easy when you say. Why? No, Mr. T.
Of the soul.
Just call 867-5309 for the answer...
[41] Thank you! Finally some good salt for this much-too-difficult warm up.
A good answer would be
"Aspire". ASS + Spider. I don't know the answer yet, but notice there's EIGHT legs on the bug. It's an arachnid of some sort apparently. I look forward to continuing this tomorrow. :)
I agree with the others on this one.....VERY HARD puzzle!!! but i did finally get it...i was chasing down hinny for a while....so close
Crossword puzzlers will be familiar with this term.
You know you're from a small, small farm town when you come up with that answer in a minute and a half. lol. I'll never be able to escape my redneck past...
Thank you, [2]. Yes, Wiki is your friend.
I've long since wikied the first word, but I don't know what the second picture is.
EDIT: nevermind i got it
I don't think Aztec would have been a great answer either, we'd all still complain about how much of a stretch in pronunciation it was.
[45] I guess it depends on who publishes your crosswords. I've done about 10 crosswords a week for the past 10 years and don't know this word.
if your having trouble, try "thesaurus.reference.com"

Woo-hoo! Top 300!!!
I could have sworn this one should have had some additional images in the beginning. Either
a can of Fanta, or a Bomb, or the letter E + John Cleese + E. (fantastic, bombastic, ecclesiastic)
Still seeking the obscure burro...
I thought that there would have been some sort of notification before posting a puzzle. I have nothing in my E0mail. I just posted this Sunday. Sorry for the extreme difficulty in it as I would have added some salt myself if I had known it was going to up last night. (41) has good salt. We have some farms near us so I did not think that it was that obscure.

[50] helped me.
I agree Aztec would have been a better answer
[2] gave me something to look up.
Further salt: That is not a male donkey.
Here's the bad part: I immediately looked at that picture, and thought of the right word for it. The second picture can only be one of 2 things, and the homophone for the answer was too much of a stretch for me to get it. After thorough searching in case I had the wrong first picture, I came across an alternative spelling and pronunciation (that ends in a t) for the first picture that finally made it click. I'm sick of rebuses where you can get the pictures but just can't make the somewhat large jump to the homophone. Nice try on the puzzle, though, and if I were Forrest Gump, I would have pronounced the first one in a way that would have made the answer more obvious.
I don't personally think "Aztec" is too far a stretch from "Ass tick". It's supposed to be a puzzle, after all.
One word to describe this one... horrible.
I kept coming up with ass + spider = Ass Biter. Something from a South Park cartoon keeps recurring...
lol, wow, that one was a tough one.
But once you get on the right trail, it's not too hard.
Aztec would have been good, but this is more clever, it might not be easy, but it's clever.
had the two terms but didn't quite convert the pronunciation to the right word.
Should have included a female symbol on the first pic.
