Except yours..
Huh. You're making me want to curse.
so the clues are 2 words or 1 word, how do the numbers correspond?
I hate this puzzle
again, no instructions and nothing obvious or "out of place"
think i figured out the pattern, just gotta fill in the blanks now
well, the first numbers are all 1's and 2's, the second numbers are 1-5 excluding 4 with duplications
yeah I got nothing.
Quiet in here...

In truth, I feel I cheated. I solved only four, then found a word that fit. The last two gave me the theme.
I didn't even see the text at the bottom; it may assist you.
P.S. Puzzles with instructions are for wusses!
almost same here I only solved 4
It took you 7 minutes and 29 seconds.

Still cannot get one, two or seven. Any clues there?
What I've got so far is US Pop Culture specific... but no answer yet

[11] rilk: I dare you to say that to my face punk
does that mean yes?
yeah, I got a bunch of the clues, but the numbers don't seem to be working
Wow, this puzzlethon is bringing out salt like a bag of sunflower seeds!
Got the puzzle, but never did figure out 1, 5 or 6.
EDIT: Nothing naughty here...
I'm still missing 1, 5 and 6 as well, but i can't seem to solve it
Wikipedia has a great page for this, probably has all of them on it -- but I figured out three without it, found the page, got another one without needing the page, and crossword-solved the answer without figuring out any more.
[20] 1 would hit the sweet spot if you were say 40 or older.
Ooops... that "Naughty comment!" link got shown to you guys by accident... sorry about that. :-)
ick, got it with a scrabble solver
Intriguing puzzle, poorly executed.
And with this puzzle, it really shows.
It took you 25 minutes and 46 seconds.

Too hard for me!
Did anyone get #3 because the answer it really ought to be is (13) not (11).
got the theme, and some but not all - as above, what to do with the numbers? Not the usual tanga numbering system (unless I've got it wrong - again)
got it with a scrabble solver as well
yes, usual tanga numbering when applied appropriately.
[20] see [7] and remember history...
#1 you might have to draft a few answers
[28] John, there is a (13) that fits, but there is an (11) that fits, too. Personally, I preferred the (13), but that may be a sign of my age.
Haven't seen half of them.
Not that it helps much, but I'd adjust the clues like this:
5 - "It's the rodent's responsibility"
6 - Become educated
Still don't have #2. It must be the hardest.
[28]John, I think I know what you're thinking, but there's a better answer.
[28] You're thinking of a different answer for #3. There's a more correct answer that works with (11).
I got the #3 and it was (11).
as for the clue "educate".... the answer is a little grammatically funky. A better clue might have been "learn". I put in a word that would have worked for "educate" and fit the theme, and it caused me major problems when it finally came down to trying to solve with a few blanks using a crossword solver.... I had to do some digging to come up with the right answer...
[28] (11) is correct assuming I'm on the same wavelength as the puzzlemaker.
#2 had me a little light on my feet... not that there's anything wrong with that
Gee gosh, #5 is pretty dam hard
Urk; got it with four answers and a crossword solver. I don't know enough about the theme to be able to backsolve the rest... :(
[35] #2 is one of the best known of these. Accolades and all.
[35] I bet you have the will to find it.
Got it with four of them (4, 6, 7 & 8) and still trying to backsolve. [23] dlp, did you find all of them on the list you referred to? I could think of many that weren't represented there... unfortunately none I thought of fit this bill.
Edit: just figured out #5. Let the forehead-slapping begin...
Edit again: figured out the rest. They were all on the list dlp cited. I'm going to bed; I'm obviously long overdue there.
The subject matter is right up my alley, and I got the final answer, but I'm stumped on POUND.
I've got only #2, 3, 4, and 9, but I got the answer. I wish I had any clue on the others -- I can't even get them by knowing the theme.
How about P*O*U*N*D?
[47] Nice
Dang! I'll be in trouble when my Dad goes to bed!
And then he says "I don't know how I did it!"
hmmmph
wow John, that made it clear immediately. I was just asking my husband if he had any ideas, since I got the answer for all the others but couldn't figure that one out.... Your post helped!
OK, Kswitz, if you got them all - could you salt 'Educate'? I've got every other one, but that one is kicking me around. The salt here isn't even jogging anything for me.
Thanks, [43] tomlynch!
InfinityMax, it might take until comment 99 to get that answer.
[51] you are looking for [35], and it is old
[53] nrkii
now there's a grain!
[53] They might get it as early as comment 86
53] nrkii
Well said! And here I thought it would only take to comment 96...
well, solve times are rising for each puzzle, I think the next one will be the start of overtime.
Wow, i did not enjoy that one...
Wow, that was terrible. The clues were horribly vague; "Mr. Clinton..." is outright wrong; "educate", as noted above, is misleadingly weird grammar; "Joined with kin" could be any number of things (one fits somewhat better, but there was no reason to think that my initial answer, whose initials are "FT", was wrong). Fine idea, but, well, no.
Well, I an coming to this late, but I'm stumped. I have identified all the items, but the numbers baffle me. I had FT in the Joined with Kin spot until I saw comment 60...
Anyone still here?
-JEEP
Finally got it. Sheesh.
2:21AM and still stuck....

My first post, fastest time yet... but I feel I kind of cheated with the help of a crossword solver. I didn't get all the clues yet but they didn't seem so bad.
I got 8 first, guess I know that lingo. 9 was a guess that turned out right, I thought 6 was easy but I guess its how I look at the word "educate", 2 seemed easy, unsure on 1, 5,6
Still new, so I don't wanna risk salting this, but just wanted to say Hi and I think I'm hooked on the puzzles now :D

I got all of the answers pretty easy, but I can not figure out how to apply the numbers to this puzzle. ARGH!
TR
Sorry I hate the theme, so I figured clues were universal knowledge. So I did choose a bit odd clues that I thought would be easy one the theme was figured.
And I did throw out other clues during the draft when I tested it.
Mr Clinton isn't dead wrong, but it is out there. Sorry again for any busted keyboards.
