[2] The spelling is perfect. What are you questioning?

  8. FileEggmnemonica on Tue Jul 29, 2008 07:09 PM

[7] Ditto. I don't see any spelling errors.

I hate clues with a random picture and I'm supposed to know the name of the one pictured.

How in the world am I supposed to know the name of the bat? Now, if it had been a contestant on the first season of a well-known reality show, I might have a shot.

hhmm spelling...I believe that you are both correct...the spelling can be either way...not positive, just my thought...google both, they both show up just the same

    google is NOT a spell checker . . .

Spoiler ahead, but with 240 solves so far, I figure that's OK.

[2], [10] I don't know what you thought was misspelled, but I'm guessing it was the first word. I've found google hits for the phrase using "baton," "batton," "batting," "battling," "barton," "patten," "barring" and "bastion." Those are all incorrect. (I also found many hits using "button," which isn't right either but at least makes some sense.) If you want to check spelling, a dictionary is really the way to go. Even dictionary.com would be better.

Very nice, I had no idea who the 2 were, but still got it in 2 tries.

I didn't have to know who were in the pictures.....I got the answer off the first and third pics.......Shiver me timbers maybe Davey Jones can help those who are stumped. Now get along you lil bilge Rats

Bit of trivia: my original submission had some different pictures, probably making it slightly harder.

    1. The first picture was a picture of a coffee cup with the batman logo on it, instead of a bat.

    2. The second picture was Bo Derek's head from the movie 10, no name on the pic itself.

    3. Instead of Richard Hatch from Survivor, I had 2 identical headshots of Apollo from the original Battlestar Galactica (Richard Hatch, natch).
