If I could have just gotten the spelling right....
Who can really spell that geeez...
Sorry double post...
salt
use a country term for the maternal figure. The other two are very straight forward. It is a pop culture reference from the 80's

So close to the top 100!
never heard of that phrase before
[9] You must of been born post 1980's then...
[6] This puzzle could really make you come and go.
[11] That's hilarious!
only took 29 seconds...but I got a late start
LOL. I was sure it was carmengia :)

i know what it is but how do you spell it?
28 seconds. damn, shouldve signed on earlier.
[14] me too! Even looked up the spelling on google.
[14] me too! Even looked up the spelling on google.
oops... sorry for the double post. lag time.
Salty like a pretzel :(
[7] Great salt. [20] too salty.
didnt understand the phrase but got it anyways.
good salt [7]
[20] now I have that stuck in my head! Thanks.
Spelling got me too! [20], way to salty don't you think???
18 seconds. Not bad.
16 seconds...fun
Is it just me, or does the lizard look like it's wearing a toupee?
Didn't make the connection; never realized that was what they were saying. =)
ditto [28]
Wow, this brings me back to High School...
Yay! Solved my first puzzle! My love of the 80's finally paid off. ROFL!
Hilarious but also agree it's now stuck in my head and will be difficult to dislodge.
[32] best way to dislodge one song... is with another.
Here's a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note... :)
Boy oh boy! I got it, by George!
[34] That's the same type of hint people got on me for being too salty. I didn't think it was so obvious but then again I'm more of a round-peg-in-a-square-hole kind of guy.
You solved this puzzle in 1 minute and 12 seconds and were the 497th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.
Yay! An easy one that I actually got!
Hmmm, the answer seems to come and go, it comes and goes.
Huh? I got it, but the phrase means nothing to me, and I don't see how [20] is even close to salty. [7] is what gave it to me, eventually.
ETA: OK, so I googled it, and now I can see how [11] is salty. Still don't get how [20] is at all helpful. And in 1984 I was 20, but listening to an entirely different genre of music. Maybe if Mordechai ben David had sung it...
You don't look like a newt!
I got better.
15 seconds!
Lame.
Elusive answer, it kept coming and going...
[38] I don't see how [20] is salty either... maybe it was edited after the fact?
Heh - 4 seconds and 658th to solve it, should have looked last night. My quickest time ever
red gold and green?
Overthinking will kill you. I was trying to figure out the exact make and model of the automobile, and the exact species of the lizard -- wrong, wrong, wrong. Go with generic words, and it will hit you smack in the face. What goes around, comes around.
8 seconds, personal best :)
I feel like the last picture should be red, gold, and green.
I wore this tape out in my first new car, a 1983 Honda Accord LX...
