use a country term for the maternal figure. The other two are very straight forward. It is a pop culture reference from the 80's

  23. Avatar_profileGrapesKtCallista on Dec 13, 2007 09:19 PM

Is it just me, or does the lizard look like it's wearing a toupee?

  28. Avatar_profileGrapesshrapnel on Dec 13, 2007 09:46 PM

Didn't make the connection; never realized that was what they were saying. =)

  29. FileKiwiSwanny on Dec 13, 2007 09:56 PM

  32. Sc002a57f6Pumpkinrunart on Dec 14, 2007 02:44 AM

Hilarious but also agree it's now stuck in my head and will be difficult to dislodge.

  33. FileGarlicspamwise on Dec 14, 2007 05:23 AM

[32] best way to dislodge one song... is with another.
Here's a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note... :)

  34. FilePumpkinimapuzzl on Dec 14, 2007 05:53 AM

Boy oh boy! I got it, by George!

  35. Tanga_avatar_profilePeachDrFaulken on Dec 14, 2007 06:25 AM

[34] That's the same type of hint people got on me for being too salty. I didn't think it was so obvious but then again I'm more of a round-peg-in-a-square-hole kind of guy.

  36. FilePotatoDoomDahDoomDoom on Dec 14, 2007 06:54 AM

You solved this puzzle in 1 minute and 12 seconds and were the 497th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 10 points for solving this.

Yay! An easy one that I actually got!

  37. Avatar_profilePeachcrobby on Dec 14, 2007 06:56 AM

Hmmm, the answer seems to come and go, it comes and goes.

  38. Avatar_profileAceGertSoB on Dec 14, 2007 07:29 AM

Huh? I got it, but the phrase means nothing to me, and I don't see how [20] is even close to salty. [7] is what gave it to me, eventually.

ETA: OK, so I googled it, and now I can see how [11] is salty. Still don't get how [20] is at all helpful. And in 1984 I was 20, but listening to an entirely different genre of music. Maybe if Mordechai ben David had sung it...

  39. Avatar_profilePearXelvonar on Dec 14, 2007 07:33 AM

You don't look like a newt!

    I got better.

  40. FileStrawberryLudocrazy on Dec 14, 2007 08:10 AM

    15 seconds!

  41. Avatar_profileLemonMikeGrimes on Dec 14, 2007 09:11 AM

    Lame.

  42. FileKiwijgoewert on Dec 14, 2007 10:57 AM

Elusive answer, it kept coming and going...

  43. FilePlumsjlee on Dec 14, 2007 11:00 AM

[38] I don't see how [20] is salty either... maybe it was edited after the fact?

  44. Avatar_profileGrapescmchavis on Dec 14, 2007 12:16 PM

Heh - 4 seconds and 658th to solve it, should have looked last night. My quickest time ever

  45. FilePumpkinJohn on Dec 14, 2007 02:26 PM

    red gold and green?

  46. SmalloldvelvetnoseRocketsdharing on Dec 14, 2007 02:29 PM

Overthinking will kill you. I was trying to figure out the exact make and model of the automobile, and the exact species of the lizard -- wrong, wrong, wrong. Go with generic words, and it will hit you smack in the face. What goes around, comes around.

  47. Avatar_profilePearcanaryk on Jun 04, 2010 10:50 PM

    8 seconds, personal best :)

  48. 18342_103909812967519_100000455015611_104529_2584403_nGrapeskaleidoscopeeyes8 on Jul 16, 2010 09:46 AM

I feel like the last picture should be red, gold, and green.

  49. FileEggplanthankescu on Jun 12, 2011 09:30 AM

I wore this tape out in my first new car, a 1983 Honda Accord LX...
