Wow, this was the first puzzle I tried to do as it was posted, and I got 61st! I'll certainly take that over my previous finishes. The last word stumped me... oh Tanga.

Wow, hard to get the middle to really sound like that.

Would have got this one much quicker if I had realized that there was more than one of those things at the end. 63rd, good puzzle.

the stuff in the ( ) is quite deceiving. I'm not even sure what the ( ) is supposed to imply.

  10. FileSailboatdagibbs on Fri Apr 04, 2008 07:44 PM

[9] I think the brackets are intended to imply normal math type stuff... evaluate those two bits together to get the result for that sound. Kind of odd, but maybe.

  11. FileAceSteepleMedia on Fri Apr 04, 2008 08:09 PM

The ( ) were implying that it was a grouped word or it was 2 parts. idk i made this a long time ago...

As usual, send me a tangagram if you are having trouble or have got the puzzle but were confused about something... but if you know the answer, include that so I know you arent trying to get free answers :)

[11] I think the solution you wrote explains your intention at the time. (I don't like it much, but I can't easily think of an alternative.)

  13. FileAceSteepleMedia on Fri Apr 04, 2008 08:24 PM

[12] yeah, at this time, i was writing at least 2 or 3 puzzles a day, but i stopped because we had a flood. And now i dont even have time to play the puzzles :( So I was shocked to see one used :)

  14. Oakland_athletics_77100Bananagromit1025 on Fri Apr 04, 2008 09:11 PM

The ( ) is a bit of a stretch for the sound of it, but ultimately it worked itself out.

  15. FilePearWorth on Fri Apr 04, 2008 09:51 PM

I think if the ( ) and the ear were removed it would make a lot more sense

  16. FilePumpkinJohnQ118 on Fri Apr 04, 2008 10:23 PM

    {solved this puzzle in 6 minutes and 33 seconds}
and I think the ( ) are OK (but I used a different 'interpretation' to get the same answer word) but I had trouble with the last part, inexplicably. took multiple minuteS on that one. How did you'all do?

  17. FileGarlicChupper on Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:00 AM

I don't think both keys should have been circled in the first pic, I was trying to fit an 's' in the middle there as a plural.

Also, the last row isn't a picture of hutches.

  18. FileGrapesSneezy96 on Sat Apr 05, 2008 10:40 AM

I solved the puzzle, but I really don't think the ear should have been used. That was a real stretch.

  19. Phi3CornPhilana on Sat Apr 05, 2008 06:46 PM

I had a heck of a time trying to remove an H from "etageres"!

  20. FileAceSteepleMedia on Sat Apr 05, 2008 07:03 PM

    [18] that's for "Sounds like"
