I was going to do the same puzzle, but after struggling with that creature, I opted for the Jetson robot. And then I opted to get beaten to the punch.

    [17] Not according to Snopes.

(Granted, even Snopes you can't just take at face value, but they do tend to document their research so are somewhat more credible than most :))

  21. TangaPotatoTopherMarsh on Mar 26, 2008 02:13 PM

[17] I have heard that refernce a few times. although never tried to validate it via research [21]

  22. Avatar_profileGrapesakellner on Mar 26, 2008 02:38 PM

ahhhh, needed to see the position of each relative to the other

  23. Avatar_profileKiwipcentorc on Aug 09, 2008 08:42 AM

[17] I'm sure this won't be seen since it is an old puzzle. Popular culture has connected this to the plague but there is no reference to it in any literature until the 1800's. At that time it appears in many places with variations. Prior to that nothing.

  24. 1981709Sailboatjgf on Aug 27, 2008 04:02 PM

Well I thought it was funny.

Oh, and a Murdoctor puzzle I can get is something to celebrate.

  25. Avatar_profilePeachpwag on Jan 03, 2009 01:09 PM

I like linking Rosie O'Donnell to the plague...

It's fitting. Has she died yet?

  28. MarkerryanCarrotryanker on Sep 04, 2010 06:56 AM

...12 seconds and were the 1090th...

I might have kept that to merely triple digits if I had gotten here within the first year the puzzle was published.

  29. 100_1703Eggsonjahi on Feb 24, 2011 02:39 PM

[29] 1136th here! I made it within 3 years. Barely.
