Good puzzle!! Gotta love the kitty! :)

Good one - I didn't need to know ANY actors names or have to slur any words. Cool!

eh... I'm not getting the part with the cat

  6. Avatar_profilePotatoswpickle on Sun May 18, 2008 07:38 PM

    I really hate cats

  7. FileClockJewelia on Sun May 18, 2008 07:39 PM

[5] It's a Japanese begging cat, but you're looking for what it represents.

  8. FileTomatotlmitch7 on Sun May 18, 2008 07:41 PM

I didn't know what the cat was suppose to mean either, just finished the phrase, did it in 14 seconds, yea!

  9. Img_3664_640x480Strawberryearthvssoup on Sun May 18, 2008 09:57 PM

the first word should have been one word

  10. FilePotatorevchewie on Sun May 18, 2008 11:05 PM

No clue on the cat but I managed to guess it. Had no clue what the phrase [8] mentioned was. That cat's seriously obscure for most Americans...

Okay, by convention lately, when there's punctuation, it's been represented by punctuation. Because of that, this one irked me, because the & is not used as &, it's actually spelled out.

  12. Avatar_profileKiwiLeezer on Sun May 18, 2008 11:55 PM

Yeah, we didn't have to know the names of any actors, movies, or songs, but we were expected to know an extremely obscure Japanese cultural reference. The only way I solved it was to get the rest of the puzzle and fill in the blank.

  13. FileOnionJohn on Mon May 19, 2008 02:50 AM

[12] and even filling in the blank is obscure if you're not from the 1950's

    Horrible.

EDIT: Ok, there was a more recent movie titled the same as this quote, and about the same personality (which I had similarly never heard of, but at least has a cast of recognizable names).

You solved this puzzle in 4 seconds

  15. Avatar_profileBananatrevelyan on Mon May 19, 2008 07:31 AM

Four leaf clover or rabbits foot would be more suitable then the cat.

"You solved this puzzle in 13 hours, 16 minutes and 59 seconds and were the 389th Tanga member to solve it."

    Uhh.. not my best...

  17. Avatar_profileOrangetylerxp on Mon May 19, 2008 08:22 AM

sorry... double.. post. Not my day. :-S

  18. SupcatAppleGamercat on Mon May 19, 2008 09:17 AM

Well, I love cats, and thought this puzzle was very cool. I'm always amazed at how, once something has a cat in it, you get all the haters out of the woodwork. Never happens when a dog is used in a puzzle. /sheesh

  19. Avatar_profileGrapesluganator on Mon May 19, 2008 12:26 PM

How hard is it to google "asian waving cat" and figure out the answer?

  20. FileBananaLordJunon on Mon May 19, 2008 01:27 PM

And Somewhere Joesph McCarthy is twitching.

  21. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Tue May 20, 2008 10:29 AM

[15] I had that in the beginning when I first made it, but I didn't want it to be TOO easy .. :) If you don't get it from the beginning part, the end should be a nice little bit of puzzle solving exercise. I agree with [19] it's pretty easy to google.

  22. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Tue May 20, 2008 10:33 AM

[9] If you google the phrase it most often comes up separated. Wiki has it separated, as well as IMDB.
