The 15th to solve it. Dah!

  2. Avatar_profileKiwiLeezer on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:18 PM

    ...

  3. FileEggplantHackmaster12 on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:21 PM

I'm not getting anything. Any salt out there?

  4. FileAceSteepleMedia on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:25 PM

ummm, try looking at [2] and try and figure out who is in the pic (behind the pigs and giraffes)

  5. FileRocketokmaybenot on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:28 PM

    That was super cute!

  6. Chain_bunnyEggIrrenarzt on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:31 PM

Great another solve method I have to remember now...

  7. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:50 PM

    Is this a C V type puzzle?

  8. Img_0189Egggst on Tue Jan 01, 2008 07:50 PM

    I have 5 letters, but ... ?

    giraffegiraffegiraffegiraffe
    giraffe
    giraffepiggiraffegiraffe
    giraffepigpiggiraffe

  9. FileRocketokmaybenot on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:03 PM

The giraffes symbolise one thing, the pigs symbolise another. If you have questions, just send out an S.O.S.

  10. AvatarDuckiesteph_frolin on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:07 PM

    [9] Nice

  11. Img_0189Egggst on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:10 PM

[9], I got that (see my plea in [8]), but my letters don't get me anywhere.

    Any salt on the background?

  12. English_d_betterApplemrdehate on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:21 PM

woah...never would have had a clue without [9]. gst, you're right on track, just a little backwards.

  13. Avatar_profilePotatodklash on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:22 PM

[11] No, you didn't get [9]'s comment. Read it again carefully.

  14. Img_0189Egggst on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:29 PM

Oh, man, I could have sworn I tried it both ways, and carefully. (Guess not).
Thanks for dragging me to the answer, folks, despite myself!

  15. FileDuckiedavey3 on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:36 PM

Trivial if you recognize the background picture. Unfortunately, I didn't. Thanks to the salt in [11] for getting me to re-read the salt in [9]. Now the "S"alt in [2] actually makes sense to me.

  16. Picture_130Eggplanthannah69 on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:38 PM

Mama always said "where were you raised?"

  17. FileDuckienrkii on Tue Jan 01, 2008 08:53 PM

ha! I assumed it was DARWIN in the background ... now the solution makes a lot more sense!

  18. Avatar_profileApplekswitz on Tue Jan 01, 2008 09:24 PM

[16] I think your comment might be a little to salty.

  19. FileAceSteepleMedia on Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:12 PM

as always, if you are unsure how you got the answer, or have questions... send me a Tangagram with the answer included and i will answer your questions.

  20. FilePlumfishboy on Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:16 PM

Here's the long and short of it: Comparing the neck sizes would have told [8] which was which.

  21. FileOnionRickj4029 on Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:42 PM

[18] ...and none of the others are?

  22. Furbys_in_a_trunk_003TomatoHoddy on Tue Jan 01, 2008 11:05 PM

    very cute!

  23. FileEggplantHackmaster12 on Wed Jan 02, 2008 04:19 AM

[4] Wow, the monitor I first looked at the puzzle with didn't really distinguish anything in the background except for the hands, medals, and head, and none of those looked like anything other than whitish blobs. Got it now. Thanks!

  24. Thunk_logo_colorPotatofachanlahd on Wed Jan 02, 2008 04:46 AM

    This was fun.

  25. FilePlumdougtaylor1 on Wed Jan 02, 2008 06:35 AM

Ok.... only figured it from the salt and didn't have a clue who the guy was in the background until I figured out the salt. Still don't know how the answer includes the giraffe except at a zoo.

  26. New_scout_logoCheeseburgerscoutmom on Wed Jan 02, 2008 07:45 AM

[25] See [20] for how that applies...

  27. FileCarrotleftyleo on Wed Jan 02, 2008 08:22 AM

between [2] [9] and [16] ...thats way more than enough

  28. FileAceSteepleMedia on Wed Jan 02, 2008 08:24 AM

    [27] I agree :)

  29. Bunny91Garlicheatherlouwho on Wed Jan 02, 2008 10:42 AM

    [27] Agreed. Nice puzzle, BTW.

  30. Tornado_warningSailboatandythewxman on Wed Jan 02, 2008 10:59 AM

    Nice puzzle - a little groan :)

  31. FileAppledlandon2000 on Wed Jan 02, 2008 11:59 AM

Even knowing who the guy is now I can't find a picture that would have told me that.

Nevermind found that exact one! :)

  32. FilePumpkinBigSlick on Wed Jan 02, 2008 12:44 PM

[17] Me too! I still don't know who it actually is (even knowing the answer).

  33. 217303494_crw_7371110107Appleamaries80 on Wed Jan 02, 2008 01:05 PM

I have the answer, but I don't understand how it fits in with the guy in the background....can anyone fill me in on this?

  34. PirateleadfootPumpkinleadfoot on Wed Jan 02, 2008 03:04 PM

    [32],[33] Tangagrams sent

  35. FilePancakesMysticalmelody on Wed Jan 02, 2008 03:49 PM

    Why giraffes and pigs?

  36. Avatar_profileCherriesmanicnerd on Wed Jan 02, 2008 04:27 PM

You solved this puzzle in 20 hours, 10 minutes and 39 seconds and were the 420th Tanga member to solve it.

    awesome!

  37. AvatarSailboatjjcool on Wed Jan 02, 2008 08:04 PM

so, whats the answer? seriously, how hard is it to post the "solution" under solution?

  38. Someguy2Radishcapkincaid on Thu Jan 03, 2008 06:54 AM

    I agree

  39. FileRadishMalllkaV on Thu Jan 03, 2008 01:19 PM

Can someone who solved this just post the solution for those of us with the mental blocks? THANK YOU!

JUST GOT IT! Take the pig as "dot" and the giraffe as "dash" and look up the letters that equal those configurations to make the appropriate letters to form the word in Morse code.
