I keep getting gibberish
[1] Gibberish three times over so far for me.
Same here. Got ten letters that anagram to a bunch of possible things.
Yep- gibberish, none of which anagrams into one word. Hrm.
Same here ... gibberish and no anagrams
I've got three different sets of ten letters, with a way to order each that yields gibberish. (I'm hoping this isn't just a random anagram at the end)
I try to avoid unindicated anagrams in my puzzles (you should too).
You solved this puzzle in 9 minutes and 20 seconds and were the 2nd Tanga member to solve it. You earned 109 points for solving this.
It's *almost* not unclear. >_<
No anagramming is neccessary but you may need to look something up once you are done.
As far as I can tell, the famous Bocci Smith, a librarian, has demanded lice, pronto.
I don't think this is salt. At all.
I've solved this, and I'm sure there's an error. Shouldn't the number after Out Town author Wilder be 7 instead of 6?
[11] thank you! with a (7) there, I got it right away.
[11] - Yes.
[11] I'm pretty sure that you're right.
Sigh.... How's that?
Clever puzzle, but the mistake made it VERY frustrating.
Okay...I see the hint in [11], but is that a name? I'm still not getting anywhere with this.
I think I have it to the penultimate step, but I cannot turn it into an answer...
Google what you have and you will get something that may click
[11] that got it for me. I guess it's a busted puzzle, but it works with [11]'s salt.
It was still a fun puzzle though.
great puzzle. when you get the letters, apply the theme.
Argh... should've tried that sooner, after recognizing the first four letters. Too bad for that numerical error.
I've searched on Google with the results, but I don't get anything that would lead to a single word answer.
Edit before I even finished the post, 'cause I *did* see it there, I just didn't know it yet.
I had all of the names in less than a minute, but no idea what to do with them.
Now, I realize I'm new to the whole tanga puzzles thing, but I'm not impressed so far. It's not just this particular puzzle, but it is the whole format.
I googled, I get harbor seals, the prague post, agents and coaches...
Thanks [11]!!!!
Man that was frustrating ... I was wondering why nothing seemed to work! With [11]'s help it was pretty easy.
Really sucks that I had a 6 for Wilder for the longest time. I didnt refresh (and the puzzle changed to 7) until just a minute ago
tough
Yay, 83rd.
Do the letters anagram to one word? Or is there yet another step after that?
[21] - Thanks for the great salt. [25] should look at what [21] says, and think about it for a bit to figure out what theme he could be referring to. You're almost there, just have one more step.
[30] No anagrams here.
Doh! I had it there in front of me the whole time.
Will edit if too salty, but I'm getting itismlocch, airlaoainr, oaiilrnaar. HELP!?!?!?! Are any of these close or can you tell if any of these 3 methods is on the right track?
[34] I can't tell what you're doing, but it looks like you may be applying the Tanga numbers to the wrong things. Solve the clues, then apply numbers from there. Don't apply Tanga numbers to the clues themselves.
There are two sets of numbers, and that's exactly what you need.
I take the 6th letter of Pierce's first name and put it in the first position, right? And so on?
So frustrating. I feel like I get this. I knew ALL the connections immediately, but the application of the connections is twisting me in knots.
[36] To sprinkle some salt on it, yes. Do that for the rest... then figure out the rest of the puzzle.
Who's ____________ (apparently, I said too much so I edited the name out)?
Still doesn't help. Give me a griddler or a kakuro any day.
[38] EXACTLY!?!?!?! Who is that?
dang... puzzles that involve counting always end up taking me longer because I can't count...ever. Finally got it after realizing that I only counted 5 for number 1 instead of 6.
[40] ... and then you got [38]'s answer, right?
[38] That's a lot of salt. [39] They're good friends with Aretha Pierce and Willie Mandela.
[38] One more crucial step to go, but you better edit that salt out. Use the puzzle theme for the crucial step.
I got it all the way to the final word and then it only took five minutes to figure it out...Funny thing because I was thinking of the Cincinnati connection right out the gate.
Loni Cooper...I got it but I don't know how.
"It is MLOCCH" I have no idea what that means. I got it from the nacl clogging tonites forum...Anyone care to tangagram the solve method?
Ok ... I finally got it, but it was not worth it. This stuff has got to be an acquired taste. Someone tell me when it gets fun.
Ugh ... I can't believe that I should have just typed my maiden name. I spent 11 hours thinking about this!
[45] that's where I am at... except I applied the 7 instead of the 6. why do I even try these things?
very nice. It took me a while but I was determined to get this with out reading the comments. once again, the "hard" was easier and more fun than the "easy".
I have ionicnoper. as far as i can tell, that means nothing.... gah!
Wish I'd gotten here last night.
A very fun puzzle. Me Like!
[51] you're very close. re-check 1st and 6th.
WOW! That was definitely 'hard.' Good puzzle!
wow. Complete garbage. Lonictoper yielded nothing last night. Now apparently it should have been the seventh letter of thornton not the sixth. Doesnt anyone check their puzzles before they post?
Neither LONICOOPER or ITISMLOCCH are yielding anything, and I'm not getting anything from the salt above...TG anyone? Anyone? Bueller? :)
EDIT: as with everyone else, I post that I can't get it, then get it.
