...Jim who?
[1] Only one I don't know :(
who da heck is Jim?
[1] I'm Jim, and I don't even know.
[2] And because it's so early on, it makes it difficult to get anywhere else.
OH!
Yeah, I know all the others but I need Jim. I'm grasping at straws and coming up empty.
7th! Stumbled on the "pieces" (physics lectures led me astray).
Well, it isn't a number that is a single word as far as I can tell.
[8] Salt on the next step?
I need jim two
only one I cant get is # of easy pieces for jack
Jim help blahmcblah?
spurs, you can count them on one hand
[13] Really recent movie. Guy's going crazy over this number.
Oh, forget it. I couldn't care eef anyone gave me the answer or not.
I did the math....where do I go next?!!!
Love it. Good one.
Yeah, got them now. Tried a few things but now it doesn't seem to compute for me. Oh well, heavily distracted right now. Will try later.
Humm - I've entered the title of every movie with that number...no luck.
Not sure on Jim or the monkeys (although I have an idea on the monkeys - Bruce Willis?)
Yeah, I have done the math. Got all the numbers in the spaces on the right and still nothing. A numeric answer or word answer is wrong. Grrrr.
[15] thank you!
[17] it isn't about the destination. It is about the journey
[22] You'll need all the blanks' numbers to answer this.
I would've liked this more if the theme and the answer were intertwined.
[22] do the obvious thing (well, what would be obvious if you _started_ at the point you are at.)
Can't come up with a movie title that incorporates what I think the math answer is...or a synonym for the number.
[24] They are. You've never seen it?
Although they could be MORE intertwined by having it follow the same exact theme...
I got hung up on Jim too. Good salt 23! Thanks!
[27] Ah, hadn't thought of it that way.
[15] The only movie in the last four months with a Jim or James was Jimmy Carter Man from Plains. Don't think that was it.
It's been forever since I've seen that.
Got the answer. Still have no clue who jim is. (Found I could guess at it with only the first 3 numbers.)
Jim is pretty funny in most of his movies...this movie was not a comedy...
[34] Thanks. Now I have some easy-word closure.
[29] thanks. I wasn't sure if that would help or confuse
bleh. this puzzle makes my head explode for some reason... I had all the numbers quickly and did the math. And that's where I've been stuck ever since. I've gone down over a dozen wrong routes.. nothing.
[37] When all you've got is a bunch of numbers, and you need to get some letters, what would you do?
Went down the wrong rabbit hole there for a moment. pretty good.
I too have the answer to the math, but don't know what to do with it
still stuck....I think I'm going to sleep on it and try in the morning.
[40] You should have a lot more than just one answer.
Good puzzle, though the Jim clue needed a bit more description. AS is, I think it's a little too vague.
[38] and [23] were the salt I needed to guess it after the first three. Now to backsolve...
[40] Didn't your elementary school math teacher tell you to always show your work?
yay. such a good satisfied feeling i have inside.
Oooh, I liked this one. It makes me want to dance!
Edited because I made a stupid mistake....
Thanks [34] .... that was the only comment that was even close to salty for me.
What makes the Jim clue particularly difficult is that some clues mention an actor and some mention a role.
I really liked this one despite the way too obscure Jim clue. I was brain Daedalus until I got this one.
[48] I think you've made a mistake. The math worked for me, once I got the right Jim. This was fun!
Good puzzle, once the Jim clue was cleared up!
Go Bowie!
Terrific puzzle - one of my favorites yet.
To my mind, once the wheels were rolling, it was perfectly clear and correct.
[43] Thanks. Maybe the clue should have been:
"The Number" constantly surrounding Jim.
Great puzzle. Now that I solved it, it has no power over me
I've got the power.... power of the babe!
[55] and [56] gave me the salt to make a guess...could someone tangagram me how to solve this puzzle the right way?
'the babe with the power'
[57] I sent you one.
Is the answer simple just the result of the math?
[59] Yes. It would be cool if there was one more twist, in keeping with the theme of the puzzle. Still fun though.
[59] yes, if you meant to type 'results'
Hmmmm, didn't have a problem with the Jim clue at all, but I've seen the movie. Good puzzle, even if I did chase the red herring the first time around.
[60] It is? I've tried that both numerically and spelling it out as well as every number + or - 5 in case I got a few wrong and still nothing...
The salt [55] and [56] really helped, and now I know that there are multiple ways of using Tanga numbers...
Definitely not overly hard (once you get past Jim), but still some work.
I remember a day not so long ago when Easy One Words were much easier and didn't require writing stuff down. Some days, I miss them...
Otherwise a nifty puzzle.
[63] The answer is neither a number nor a number spelled out.
Look at comments [61], [23], [38] and the latter part of [64].
Nice puzzle!
That whole thing made zero sense after all numbers. [57] googled gets it.
[49] Unless the puzzle has been changed, all of the names in the clues are the actors' names, so it's consistent.
I finally got it after realizing that I was using the wrong numbers... it's a math puzzle afterall!
[68] It helps if you remember the lesson you learned in grade/high school math: always show your work. You can solve this puzzle the right way.
[56][57] too salty maybe?
<<<I lost!! Going to my corner
You solved this puzzle in 4 minutes and 35 seconds and were the 458th Tanga member to solve it. You earned 3 points for solving this.
Not an easy puzzle.
this was long trudging thru the comments to figure out who the heck is Jim.
it is the name of an actor not a role. which made this quite the enigma!
